ADULT FICTION MASHUP REVIEW!!!

**A Review of Giovanna Fletcher's Books: A Middle-of-the-Road Experience**

As I delved into Giovanna Fletcher's books, I found myself navigating through a mix of emotions and opinions. My journey began with "You Were the One", which marked my first foray into her writing style. While I enjoyed this book, it wasn't my favorite. In fact, I wouldn't say it was love at first sight. The story revolved around Maddie, who walks down the aisle on her wedding day to meet her groom, Rob. However, she's also kind of in love with Ben, the best man, and they've been friends since they were 11 years old. The book takes us back in time, alternating chapters between Maddie and Ben as they grew up together. This format allowed me to see their relationship evolve, but I found myself questioning who Maddie would ultimately choose – Rob or Ben.

As I continued on my reading journey, I picked up "You Were the One", which marked my first foray into Giovanna Fletcher's writing style. While I enjoyed this book, it wasn't my favorite. **A Review of Giovanna Fletcher's Book "You Were the One"**

This book is honestly a book kind of about kind of about a love triangle but not really is the best way to describe it. It's about a girl named Maddie and the beginning of the book like the very first three pages she is walking down the aisle at her own wedding and she's walking to meet her groom Rob and she's been in love with Rob but she's actually also kind of in love with the best man Ben and they have all been friends ever since they were like 11 years old so this book starts off with them at the wedding and then it quickly goes back in time to like chronologically age so you kind of see and this this has alternating chapters between Maddie our main character and Ben the best man at the wedding not the groom and they kind of go cyclical like say MADD age 11 and we'll say Ben age you know 12 and so it's all about really their life and how they grew up together and how they kind of fell in love and you know Madd falling in love with Robert and not Ben but Ben really having all these unrequited feelings for man so it's kind of like a love triangle if you will I wouldn't say like 100% love triangle but so it's got that kind of mystery of like Will she end up marrying Robert or she end up marrying Ben um his best friend and her best friend it's honestly all about their relationship Maddie Roberts and Ben and how they all kind of you know felt how Robert and Ben fell in love the same girl and Maddie's really struggling with like she loves Robert but she also loves Ben.

**A Comparison of Giovanna Fletcher's Books: "You Were the One" vs. The Last Book**

The last book I want to talk about is "You Was the One That I Want" by Giovanna Fletcher, which marked my first foray into her writing style. This book was a surprise hit with me, despite not being my absolute favorite out of this bunch. I found myself drawn into the story, which revolves around Maddie, Ben, and Rob – three characters who have been friends since childhood. The book takes us on a journey through their past, exploring their relationships and feelings for each other.

**A Conclusion: Giovanna Fletcher's Books are Worth Reading**

While "You Were the One" wasn't my favorite book by Giovanna Fletcher, I couldn't help but enjoy her writing style and the way she draws you into her characters' lives. I appreciate how she simplistically yet effectively weaves together the storylines of Maddie, Rob, and Ben. While this book was not my go-to recommendation for readers who are just starting to get into the genre of chicklit books, I would still recommend it to fans of Giovanna Fletcher's work.

**Recommendation**

If you're a fan of Giovanna Fletcher's writing style, I would recommend "Billy and Me" over "You Were the One". This book has received more positive reviews from readers who have fallen in love with her writing style. While my experience with "You Were the One" was mixed, I'm excited to dive into "Billy and Me" and explore its storyline.

**Rating**

I would give Giovanna Fletcher's books a solid 3 out of 5 stars. While they may not be my absolute favorites, they are definitely worth reading for fans of chicklit books and those who appreciate her writing style.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhello everyone today I'm here to do another match up review if you're unfamiliar with match up reviews I take two or more books and review them and discuss them all in one video usually I try to pick within the same genre or kind of like similar within the same genre these are books that I do want to talk about but I feel like I don't have enough to say to Garner their own individual reviews so I thought it'd be easier and a lot less stressful and a lot easier to watch for you guys if I just put them all in one video so I did one a couple weeks ago where was like a y contemporary mashup now I'm doing like an adult chicklet slash another kind of adult book in this matchup review books I will be talking about in this review are the good girl by Mary Kaba this is an adult mystery SL Thriller dating you hating you by Christina Lauren this is kind of an adult chicklet book and You're the One That I Want by giovana Fletcher again an adult chicklet book so all these books are adults two of them are chicklet kind of have the lone mystery thriller but I still thought I would throw it in here because it does fall within the adult genre interested in hearing my thoughts on all three of these books just watch further however if you're interested in hearing my thoughts on one particular book that I'm talking about today I will leave timestamps down below in the description box letting you know what time I talk about which book so that way it can help you in case you want to hear about one book instead of all three of them without further Ado let's get into this matchup review the first book I will be talking about today is the Good Girl by Mary kabo like I said this is an adult Thriller F mystery book this is all about a girl named Mia and one night Mia goes to the bar and she's supposed to meet her on and off again boyfriend only he doesn't show up up so she kind of goes home with a stranger and apparently that stranger has been like apparently that stranger's job is to kidnap her and deliver her to these people but instead of delivering her to these people he kind of takes her out to this cabin out in the middle of nowhere and kind of holds her hostage because he just doesn't know what to do so it's all about that happening and it's all about her mom and the detective trying to find me constantly has kind of like a before and after timeline which a lot of mysteries do like of before it happened or like while it's happening and then like after this whole event happened so you're trying to constantly figure out why Mia was supposed to why Mia was supposed to be kidnapped and like why was she supposed to be delivered to these people and what's going on with that like who did it and you're also trying to figure out who is this guy that is like was supposed to deliver to these people but actually took her route to cabin so it's a I will say I did like this book I'm not going to lie to you Mary gaba's writing quickly pulls you in I do like mystery and thrillers I'm still working my way into the genre like tipping my toes in the water but I did enjoy this one a lot I will say I did guess the ending which I'm surprised at because I'm usually not that great at it but I did guess it um but I do like the twist that she did um I do like the twist that she did have with the ending like you really don't know what happens to like the last five pages which I think is great because it really adds the whole mystery sther aspect if you're wondering if you'll guess the ending or not I'll say I wouldn't say it's easy to guess but I feel like if you just like kind of run through all the scenarios in your head you'll eventually guess it I don't know I really like this book overall it was very very fast F paced I read this in like 2 days because I just want to know what happened what was you know going to be the result of this and you know things of that nature but this was a solid mystery thriller it's not the FV it's not my most favorite I've ever read but I still enjoyed it gave this book a three and a half out of five we want to get technical here but I will say out of everyone I've talked to this is not one of their favorite Mary Kaba books I'm actually planning to read um don't you cry next by her which is everyone's favorite of her so I'm interested in Reading More of her books because I like the way she writes it grips you and it pulls you in and you don't want to put the book down which is what I'm looking for in a mystery if if I'm honest with you I'm not so looking much for like the gore but I'm looking for like the mystery aspect and like will this book suck me in and this book definitely sucked me in so overall I would recommend it if you're interested in mystery and thrillers especially if you're kind of new to the genre I definitely would recommend this book the next book I want to talk about is dating you hating you by Christina Lauren and this is actually two authors with their first names match up together and they have written a plethora of books together I think they wrote The Beautiful Bastard series I think which I have yet to read I honestly saw this book in Target one day and it caught my eye and I've heard a little bit about this author so I decided to give it a go and I have to say I really enjoyed it I honestly wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did it's not my favorite chick lith book that I've ever read but it's a solid one at that this follows two main characters Eevee and Carter and both of them are kind of Hollywood agents and I and they basically meet and they definitely fall in like but they learn that they're actually but they learn that they're both Hollywood agents and they work at competing firms so they're like not sure if they're romance will work out but they still try to give it a shot and start you know forming a relationship actually their companies merge so they're both kind of vying for the same job because there's only like one spot left and they both want that spot so they're kind of not they're not just co-workers but they're like fighting for a particular job so of course the romance kind of goes off course because they're like oh crap my career and it's really all about that I will say this does it is an adult book so it's got some steamy Parts in it but not too many steamy Parts which I enjoyed it was mostly about their career and how they're both Hollywood agents and how they struggle with dealing with that and their personal life and dealing with celebrities and like trying to find deals and signing contracts and you know signing and getting particular movies I really enjoyed reading about them and you know being agents whenever I think of Hollywood agents I may think of Ari Gold from Entourage and the like craziness of that character was and it's good to see that like not all Hollywood agents are like that but I really like the hustle and bustle of learning about Hollywood Life and how they juggle everything with being Hollywood agents and I love the romance in this book this book has alternating um point of views between Carters and Eevees and I really enjoyed it I like their chemistry I found this to be a fast-paced book and I just really enjoyed it overall it's a solid chicklet book and I would definitely recommended um if you're like me and wasn't really interested in like a book called Beautiful Bastard honestly because of the the title not going to lie to you this one I think is really good it's a solid contemporary chicklet read honestly I felt like I was right for this age range like you know the main character was like my first concert was Hansen I was like my first concert was Hansen I know they're around like the ages of 28 to 35 in this book and I'm 20 I'll be 29 in a few months so I really enjoyed like the age range of this book and I found it to be very you know relatable and overall like I said I just really enjoyed it it was a fast cute kind of sex re I guess I gave it a 3.75 I guess closer to four out of five if we're being technical but yeah I would definitely recommend it if you like kind of the romance chicklet kind of work kind of book I guess I enjoyed it and the last book I want to talk about is you were the one that I want by giovana Fletcher this is my first book by her she's written several others I want to say um and this one I like this one's probably my least favorite out of this Bunch if I'm honest with you I was surprised I thought I would like this book a lot more but then I'm not surprised because the plot doesn't immediately pull me in this is honestly a book kind of about kind of about a love triangle but not really is the best way to describe it it's about a girl named Maddie and the beginning of the book like the very first three pages she is walking down the aisle at her own wedding and she's walking to meet her groom Rob and she's been in love with Rob but she's actually also kind of in love with the best man Ben and they have all been friends ever since they were like 11 years old so this book starts off with them at the wedding and then it quickly goes back in time to like chronologically age so you kind of see and this this has alternating chapters between Maddie our main character and Ben the best man at the wedding not the groom and they kind of go cryic like say MADD age 11 and we'll say Ben age you know 12 and so it's all about really their life and how they grew up together and how they kind of fell in love and you know mad falling in love with Robert and not Ben but Ben really having all these unrequited feelings for man so it's kind of like a love triangle if you will I wouldn't say like 100% love triangle but so it's got that kind of mystery of like Will she end up marrying Robert or she end up marrying Ben um his best friend and her best friend it's honestly all about their relationship Maddie Roberts and Ben and how they all kind of you know felt how Robert and Ben fell in love the same girl and Maddie's really struggling with like she loves Robert but she also loves Ben and I just like this book I think the main thing I didn't like about it was the constant like wondering who she going to pick because I'm not honestly a fan of love triangles in general and I feel like ya is YA books are saturated with them so I wasn't really thrilled about reading an adult chicklet book about a kind of a love triangle but I also wasn't in love with the whole kind of plot of how it just kind of went I felt kind of dragged honestly I did like the writing style and I and I do want to read more of giovana Fletcher's books I can understand the appeal of it she writes very um simplistically she writes very simplistically and draws you in and you really care about these characters and you want to see what they you know Envision themselves as and what they want to be and you know you care about them and you want to see how their decisions pan out so I will say this wasn't my favorite chicklet read I've ever read and it was just a kind of okay one for me I would recommend it if you do like the genre of chicklet and read a ton of it but if you're just getting into the genre I don't know if I would recommend this one first up but I enjoyed it it wasn't a bad read by any means I think I just personally did not like it but of all the reviews I've it people kind of feel the same way they really recommend Billy and Me by her which I've already bought and plan on reading it because like I said I do enjoy her writing style so I gave this book a three out of five which just a solid middle of the road book for me so I would guess I would recommend it I'm not saying it's a horrible book by any means so there you have it my thoughts and opinions on these three books if you have read any of these books please let me know your thoughts and opinions you have the same feelings as me did you not did you love these books did you not love these books I would love to know your thoughts and opinions and I hope you guys are enjoying these Master reviews I really enjoy filming them I feel like it's just great to have one video to really talk about and delve into three books in one video it's easy I think it's just simpler and it's fun honestly so expect a lot of these this summer because this summer is going to be the summer of contemporary and chick lip books so a lot of matchup reviews will be coming your way I hope you guys are okay with that if you like this video be sure to give it a thumbs up and hit subscribe and I will see you guys in my next video byehello everyone today I'm here to do another match up review if you're unfamiliar with match up reviews I take two or more
