Miniature Sweets Making Kit ガブリチュウ _ Whatcha Eating #126

Hi there, lovelies! Welcome back to another episode of What You Eaten? I'm Emmy, and I'll be making skuru gabu gabu today. Skuru gabu gabu is a type of grape candy that you can find in Japan. I ate it a long time ago, and I'll put the link down below if you guys want to try some too.

I love the combination of flavors and textures in this candy. It's similar to Taffy Candy, but with an eraser attached to it. The set I got was called "waffle," and it came with a special mold that I'll show you later. The box also included four different colors of chews, which are basically the main ingredients in skuru gabu gabu.

To make these adorable desserts, I used the molds and the chews to create miniature versions of popular Japanese treats. It's really easy – just roll a piece of brown and pink together, put it in the mold, and fill it up. Then, I closed the top and gave it a good squeeze. The result is this adorable waffle cake that looks like it was made by a professional.

Of course, the real fun begins when you get to decorate your creations. I used a skewer or toothpick to cut off any excess candy, and then I carefully pried the pieces out of the mold. And what do we have here? A little sunde base! This is basically a tiny sponge cake that's been molded into the shape of a waffle cone.

As it turns out, this kit came with a few embellishments – like little strawberries and fun decorations – but I decided to treat them like polymer clay and make my own. I mixed together equal parts of blue and yellow to create a green color, and then I used that to make a teardrop shape. This is going to be the "icing" on top of my waffle cake!

Now it's time to add some pink filling – which is basically just a layer of grape-flavored candy goo – and then I'll put a little yellow on top. Voila! My waffle cake is complete, and it looks almost too cute to eat. Almost.

Speaking of food, I was thinking about how much I love ice cream, and how this kit would be perfect for making tiny toppers. Since the mold didn't come with one, I just swirled some pink and blue together to create a fun design. And there we have it – my very own ice cream cone!

I have to say, this kit was a little bit incomplete because what they gave us in the box didn't really allow us to make something entirely cute. But that's okay – I think if you guys were to get this yourself, maybe getting two kits would be a good idea so you can get multiple molds and decorate your creations even more.

I also found this kit while I was in Los Angeles, and it was at a Japanese grocery store. You might be able to find it online as well – just keep an eye out for it! And if you're a fan of artificial grape flavor like me, then I think you'll really love this kit.

Finally, the best part: getting to taste these adorable little treats! As most of you guys already know, I'm a huge fan of artificial grape flavor, and conquering grape is my absolute favorite. But even though all these different colors have the same flavor, it's still so delicious. The texture is just like high chew candy, and it's really intense.

In short, if you're a fan of grape or polymer clay – or both! – then I think this kit is a must-have. It's easy to use, adorable to decorate, and delicious to eat. And who knows? Maybe next time you're in Japan, you'll be able to find these kits for yourself and try some out!

And finally, the last thing I want to do is share one more little secret with you guys: serving it hot over a scoop of vanilla ice cream or yogurt makes all the difference! It's like a little taste of summer – just make sure to save me a bite (or two).
