**Experia Z Gaming Experience Review**
We recently had the opportunity to test the Experia Z's gaming capabilities and share our thoughts on how it performs in various games.
**Display Concerns**
One issue we noticed with the Experia Z's display is that it can be quite saturated depending on what you're looking at on the screen. While this might not be a major concern for everyday use, it could be an issue for those who play games with bright colors or high-contrast graphics. However, it's worth noting that the Experia Z's display isn't the crispiest from Sony's stable, which may affect gaming performance.
**Gaming Performance**
When we put the Experia Z through its paces in various games, including Temple Run 2, Dead Trigger, and Nova 3, we were impressed with its overall performance. The device handled these games smoothly, with fast processor speeds and ample RAM availability allowing for seamless gameplay. In fact, we didn't experience any lag or slowdowns even when playing demanding games like Nova 3.
**Touchscreen Response**
The Experia Z's touchscreen response was consistently fast and accurate in all the games we tested. Whether it was tapping on buttons, swiping through menus, or controlling characters on screen, the device responded quickly and reliably. This is especially important for gamers who value precision and responsiveness when playing their favorite titles.
**Gaming Controls**
One minor issue we encountered with the Experia Z's gaming controls was that the home screen buttons were positioned in a way that could cause accidental presses while playing games. Specifically, the power button and volume controls were located on either side of the screen, which sometimes resulted in unintended button presses. However, this was not a significant enough issue to detract from our overall enjoyment of the device.
**Speaker Phone Concerns**
We also encountered some issues with the Experia Z's speaker phone, particularly when playing games one-handed while holding the device in landscape or portrait mode. **Gaming Performance (Specific Games)**
* **Temple Run 2**: We were pleasantly surprised by how well the Experia Z handled Temple Run 2, one of its most demanding games. The device's fast processor and ample RAM allowed for seamless gameplay, with smooth animations and no lag or slowdowns.
* **Dead Trigger**: Dead Trigger was another game that we enjoyed playing on the Experia Z, thanks to its responsive touchscreen and excellent graphic performance. We didn't notice any lag or slowdowns even when playing at high difficulty levels.
* **Nova 3**: Nova 3 was one of the games that impressed us most with its performance on the Experia Z. The device handled the game's demanding graphics with ease, providing smooth gameplay and zero lag.
**Additional Notes**
One thing to note about the Experia Z is that it can get a bit hot during gaming sessions, particularly on the back side of the device due to its glass body. However, this heat dissipation issue was not severe enough to cause any battery drain or performance issues.
In conclusion, our experience with the Experia Z's gaming capabilities was overwhelmingly positive. While there were some minor issues with the display and speaker phone, these were not significant enough to detract from our overall enjoyment of the device. smartphone from Sony and it's been launched in India today uh the great thing about this device is that it comes in this beautiful All Glass design so you got a front glass and you got a rear glass and although there have been some complaints about the display uh we feel that the display can be rightly saturated depending on what you're looking at on the screen uh however it's not the crispiest display from the Sony stable so gaming performance may not be as great as it was in terms of uh the viewability on some of the other Sony devices and some of the other competition devices available in the market one more thing that we would like to highlight is the fact that the location of the speaker phone is really inconvenient so whether you're holding the phone in landscape or in portrait and you're playing a game one-handed you will notice uh that uh the speaker phone comes in the way and your hand will almost always cover the speaker phone and give you a muffled sound simply because of the fact that it always is in the way if you're holding it in landscape or portrait as you can see over here so let's start off with Temple Run 2 you can see that the device is uh fairly capable of handling game like Temple Run 2 thanks to its uh super fast processors and lots of ram availability for a game like Temple Run 2o another fact is that the the device has a good amount of inbuilt storage so you can download heavy games and uh good graphic games like Nova 3 Asphalt 7 Etc directly onto the device gameplay for Temple Run 2 is really nice and uh smooth although the audio levels could have been a little bit higher that's thanks to the poor speaker phone not only is the location of the speaker phone poor but the audio quality from the speaker phone is also poor it could have been much much louder maybe it's restricted on the device that we are holding or maybe it's just been restricted by a patch it can be tweaked up but only if the device is holding the device with one hand is a little difficult that's uh due to the form factor of the device it's slightly squarish and a little big for a hand even like mine so playing games like Temple Run 2 with one hand is a little difficult moving along if we look at Dead Trigger you can see gamep play is really smooth and we have no complaints with the game like dead trigger touchcreen response is absolutely fast and we have seen that the graphic performance of this game is usually a little low on some Android devices with the xedia Z is more than capable of handling it and we quite enjoyed playing dead trigger on this device moving along to Nova 3 we can see that Nova 3 Performance is great as well touchcreen response is good the only difference is that the home screen buttons are almost in the way and you might end up tapping them causing you to end the game uh without you actually wanting to end the game also one thing that you need to look at is the fact that the gaming controls are a little further away from the screen that's thanks to the lower bezel and then the buttons for the OS that come in the way so the controls on the right of the screen are a little further away from what you are usually used to uh but the gaming performance is great and we saw Zero lag while gaming even on games like Nova 3 let's move along to Asphalt 7 now playing this game with the acceler ra meter was absolutely great but I personally prefer playing this game with the onscreen controls and as you can see the gameplay performance is excellent you'll thoroughly enjoy gaming on the xedia Z simply because I did not experience any lag in whatever games I played whatsoever and the device is quite capable of handling all sorts of gaming on the screen using the processor and everything works out great the phone does heat up a little bit on the back side and that's usually due to the fact that it has glass so the heat kind of passes through versus a polycarbonate body or a plastic body where the heat does not pass through so nothing to be alarmed about because it does not drain the battery as in in many other cases two downsides of the xeria Z are the fact that the display is not very Vivid in terms of the colors and the location of the speaker phone is really awkward for uh the device if you can get over that the device is more than capable of playing high graphic games we have a nice full HD display so you get good graphic renders and the overall device performs great in terms of gaming so we are quite happy with the xeda Z when it comes to gaming you can take your call and you can decide whether
