Nokia X3 - 02 Touch Type quick review

The Device: A Comprehensive Review

Our device of choice today is a sleek and modern smartphone from Nokia, designed specifically with touchscreen devices in mind. The phone boasts a 2.4-inch screen, a metal body, and a robust construction that makes it feel premium in the hand.

Customization Options

---------------------

One of the standout features of this device is its customization options. The user interface has been optimized for a touchscreen experience, with large keys and a numpad at the bottom of the screen that can be easily accessed. The layout is also fully customizable, allowing users to personalize their home screen with different widgets and shortcuts. Additionally, there are four quick launch buttons at the bottom of the screen that can be selected by the user, providing easy access to frequently used apps.

Menu Options

-------------

The device also features a standard full menu that has been optimized for touchscreen use. This menu offers a range of options, including calendar, contacts, music player, internet messaging, and photos. Users can quickly navigate through these menus using the touchscreen interface, which responds smoothly and intuitively to touch input.

Keyboard and Typing Experience

-----------------------------

One of the standout features of this device is its keyboard. Located at the bottom of the screen, the keyboard is large and has very nice and large keys that make typing a pleasure. Each row of keys is tapered at the bottom, providing an optimal thumb rest that makes it easy to type for extended periods.

Audio Quality

--------------

The audio quality on this device is somewhat disappointing. While the loudspeaker is not extremely loud, the sound quality is good. However, when listening to music or watching videos, the audio quality is subpar. The microphone, located next to the loudspeaker, can also be problematic when using the device in loud environments.

Camera Performance

------------------

The camera on this device is 5 megapixels and has a difficult time focusing. We were able to get some good pictures with proper focus, but apart from that, the camera's performance is lacking. The camera settings are available, including timer mode and effects such as grayscale and negative.

Battery Life

-------------

The battery life on this device is impressive, lasting around 4 hours and 30 minutes of talk time. Standby time is also good, with a duration of around 4 days. The device's compact size and robust construction make it easy to carry around, even for extended periods.

Conclusion

----------

In conclusion, our experience with this Nokia smartphone has been largely positive. While there are some drawbacks, such as the poor audio quality and camera performance, the device's sleek design, customization options, and good battery life make it a great option for anyone looking for a modern smartphone.

Full Internet Browser Experience

-------------------------------

The device features a full internet browser that can play YouTube videos directly on the device. However, there is one caveat - the browser only loads videos in mobile mode, resulting in pixelated video playback. Nevertheless, users can still stream YouTube videos directly from the browser and view them at full resolution.

Settings Menu

-------------

The settings menu on this device offers a range of options, including profiles, themes, date, call, phone accessories, data configuration, security settings, and restore to factory settings. Users can easily navigate through these settings using the touchscreen interface.

Store Downloads

----------------

The store downloads feature allows users to download applications directly onto their device. The application menu is comprehensive, offering a range of apps including alarm clock, calculator, gallery, extras, voice recorder, and more.

Video Playback Experience

-----------------------

We also put the browser through its paces by attempting to play YouTube videos on it. To our surprise, the browser was able to load videos directly without any issues. However, as mentioned earlier, these videos only played in mobile mode, resulting in poor video quality.

Final Thoughts

--------------

Overall, we were impressed with this Nokia smartphone's design, user interface, and customization options. While there are some drawbacks, such as the poor audio quality and camera performance, the device remains a solid option for anyone looking for a modern smartphone.
