I would say especially for your guest bathroom it turns out I've been opening mail wrong my entire life so what most of us do is we just take our letter and we try to open it at the seal there is an easier way to do it you just have to put your thumb under the opening on the side and then rip it around the top of the letter and it creates A Perfect rip and you can just slide your letter right out it is so much easier to do it this way and no other tools like a letter opener are required seriously try this the next time you open your mail.

going to fill up my laundry detergent cup and it's like taking forever I'm sitting here like hello why is it coming out so slow what you need to do is unscrew the little cap on the top to let air in and then press the button to dispense your liquid laundry Det and look how much faster it comes out I mean it's three times faster instead of you know pouring your laundry detergent and being left with a sticky goopy cap what you could do is toss the cap in with your laundry and it's going to get clean along with your clothes pull it out and it's sparkling clean again and it's not all sticky and gross for the next time you use it

we make a lot of pasta in the house so when the water is bubbling and it starts to overflow all you need to do is throw a couple ice cubes in there instantly the bubbles are going to dissipate another trick you can do is put a wooden spoon on top but I was finding that the pot was burning The Wooden Spoon you're hosting a party and you're serving something that needs to stay cool but you're outside what do you don't want things to spoil and go bad so this is my favorite little trick you pick up these aluminum roasting trays you can get these at the dollar store any grocery store then you want to put a little bit of water on the bottom and freeze a few of them then when it's time for your party you take another tray put your food your fruit your potato salad whatever it is in that and then put it Nest it on top of that Frozen tray so that is going to keep things nice and cool but there's not going to be any water or leakage getting into your food

another really annoying thing about serving food on hot summer days is the Flies the bugs they are swarming fly fans they keep the flies away but they have a soft blade so if you touch them they don't hurt you and the reflective light and the movement keeps the flies away from your food I got the ones that are you USB rechargeable they last for 15 hours at a time you just put them around your food you can hang them upside down or have them right side up and it will keep all the bugs all the Flies everything away from your food

if you have little drawer dividers in your drawers and they don't fit perfectly and they're sliding all around you can use Museum gel to Anchor them in place cleaning your eyeshadow palettes because they can get really dirty some of the Fallout from the eyeshadows looks messy so the easiest way to clean this is so effective is to get another little compact so this is my blush compact wrap it up in a baby wipe or a makeup wipe and then use that as essentially like an eraser on your eyeshadow palette it will clean up all of the Fallout definitely the easiest method to do this you don't have to go all around individually it just erases right off

use lemons so let's say you've used your lemon you've squeezed its juice out fill the inside with your dish soap and use that to scrub the bottom of your sink not only does this do a great job of cleaning all the gunk from the bottom of your sink but also it makes it smell really nice and fresh and then squeeze whatever is left over down into the disposal add some ice in there run your disposal and it's a really easy quick and effective way to clean your disposal and while we're discussing lemons two other quick tips in case you didn't know I microwave my lemon for 20 seconds before using it and it really helps get the juices flowing you get more juice another thing you can do is you can just poke the top of your lemon poke a hole in it with one of those wooden skewers and then just squeeze your lemon and it makes a natural lemon dropper and none of the seeds are going to come out okay I love this one this is one of my favorites so instead of purchasing those disposable disinfecting cloths that are not only expensive but they're a bit wasteful they're just onetime use you can make your own just get any type of a clear glass I put my sweet of dis cloths in here but you can put put microfiber cloths whatever cloths you have and then fill it with water distilled white vinegar a little dish soap and essential oils I will have all the exact measurements and recipes in the description box and then you can have this sitting on your counter or under your sink and whenever you need to do a quick wipe down you just pull it out ring out the excess liquid and then use that and you have your cleaning cloth ready to go and it's a lot more cost effective a little trick to make your whites whiter you can get dental tablets and soak your whites in a little bowl with warm water and a denture tablet before that combination like with your sheets your towels they will look so bright and white and new again so speaking of white sheets a summertime home hack is to switch over to Bamboo betting if you haven't already because bamboo sleeps naturally cooler it's between 1 to 3° cooler and not only is that more comfortable to sleep you fall asleep faster when you sleep cool and I have my own brand ours are otch certified without toxic chemical Les just the highest quality and also alongside with that instead of buying a new mattress which is thousands and thousands of dollars before doing that try getting a mattress topper and putting that on your bed because when you really think about it that is what you're sleeping on those first five in is primarily what you're feeling and so if your bed is not the most comfortable place on Earth if you're not obsessed with your bed try a mattress topper which also is my brand and they are 30% off just for the next couple of days it feels like you're getting an entirely new bed for under $100 so try using a mattress topper before getting a new mattress it just takes your bed to the next level and while we're here on the bed when was the last time you cleaned your pillows and a lot of people don't know that you can actually clean your pillows in your regular washing machine put them on a delicate cycle with an extra spin dry and then I like to dry them out in the sun the sun is a natural disinfectant anyway and then they keep their shape really random home hack but if you already have one of those Ultrasonic jewelry cleansers which work really well you can also use these to clean a variety of other things really effectively specifically I use it to clean my nighttime retainer put it in this ultrasonic cleanser add a little mouthwash and then turn it on and it is perfectly sparkling clean nothing grosses me out more than a smelly trash can and I recently found they're like little jelly stickers that you can put in your trash can on the interior and it just helps keep them fresh deodorize absorb some of those bad odors and it's one of those little things that I just very much appreciate it helps tone down the trash smell one of my all-time favorite cleaning tools that I own that I thought was a gimmick is my electric spin scrubber this does the work for you but my hack using this is don't just limit it to the inside of of your house I also started using it outside because we are using our outdoor furniture and going outside like our furniture and outdoor things are caked in pollen in dirt so this just makes it so easy to clean it without damaging anything I am like 40% happier when I'm Outdoors so here are some of my outdoor home hacks I found these outdoor solar lights specifically for steps so not only does this make your life easier they don't require any power or battery but it's also for safety especially at night outside you want your stairs to be illuminated these are so clever they make your stairs look nicer outside and they're also more safe so love these I highly recommend if you have any outdoor stairs and they have these outdoor solar fence lights that I just put around the perimeter it illuminates the yard it looks so pretty there is no power or cords required so could not be easier I don't really want wild life in my backyard just because I have kids a little thing that I did is I found this really cheap plastic outdoor garden fence and I use zip ties to attach it to the fence outside so Little Critters and little ducklings cannot enter the backyard also little hack I saw on 2020 years and years ago but I still do and recommend they found that the number one deterrent to burglar was not alarm systems and cameras it was dogs having a large dog so what you can do if you don't have a large dog you can kind of fake it till you make it with one of these beware of dog signs and I just attach it to the backyard with zip ties it's very easy and it's just a little extra security measure you can do another cleaning tool that I want to make sure you're getting the most use out of is your pressure washer I love using this thing I feel so powerful for some reason using it and I actually use this to clean rugs and upholstery I wanted to get our rugs and couch professionally cleaned and the quote I got was $700 $600 to $700 I was like no thank you I will try to figure this out it worked really well I wouldn't do this on something super expensive just in case it were to cause damage but for me it worked now if you follow me at all you probably know that my love in this life is reading so I wanted two prime outdoor reading spots so I found this ader Ronda chair which for me is the ideal reading angle because you're both reclining and propped up enough that it's just a very comfortable reading position but this one has a retractable automate so you can also have your Fe up which you know just sets The Experience Over the Top This is a small thing but makes a difference another little home Gadget that has come in handy more times than I care to admit is this little electric drill because power drills it's a little aggressive and anytime I have ever needed to use a power drill I will tell you it's not charged it's out of battery this thing the battery lasts forever and it's so Compact and has all the little bits that you need so whether you're building your own furniture or kids toys with a Million Parts this is incredible handy to have another thing that I got this was an Instagram ad but I was like you know what I really could use this and it's a bug catcher because yes I don't like to kill the bugs if I can avoid it I don't want to kill the bugs so you just take this put it on top and you slide the bottom and then you can put it outside let it be free in its own territory this way I don't have to come close to the bug and another little bug hack that I do find works is I put peppermint essential oil around the perimeter of the house and that is a natural spider and bug deterrent so I'm getting my kids a lot more involved in helping around the house as they should you know start them young so I moved all of our dishes to a lower drawer or lower cabinet depending on your setup so that they are able to put the dishes away because they had been up high so the kids couldn't reach and this couldn't help now they're down lower so Carter is my dish guy like he loads the dishwasher unloads it and puts the dishes away and now my life is basically complete also to facilitate this process switch to all non-breakable dish wear so it's not so heavy and if anything does get dropped it's not going to break and shatter everywhere and then also if you have kids to get them more involved I got these kidsafe knives so now they can help with meal prep with cooking in a safe way so this isn't so sharp that's it's going to cut them but they can do basic cutting or just kind of be on the side and have fun cutting things and just being involved in the cooking process and I also find that if they're involved in the cooking they're also more interested in the eating another thing I got for the kids but really for myself this is called a Splat topus and it's this specially designed spatula that gets every last bit of peanut butter or Jam from the jar and we just go through so much nut butter in my house so those are 20 or so of my new favorite home packs now we're going to go into the all-time best favorites that have stood the test of time I'm a big fresh herb girl the easiest way to pick them from the stock is just by using a cheese grater take the stem of your parsley and just pull it through your cheese grater which most of us already have
