Building and Shooting my new Custom AR15 Sporting Rifle

**A Beginner's Guide to Firearms: An Honest Review of a Sporting Rifle**

I want to start off by saying that I don't know a lot about rifles. My father was a weapons instructor and he trained me to shoot, but that's about it. I've never really been into firearms before, so when my friend asked me to review his sporting rifle, I said yes without hesitation. Little did I know what I was getting myself into.

**The Rifle: A Sporting Rifle**

So, let's take a look at the rifle in question. It's a sporting rifle, which means it's designed for hunting and target shooting. My friend told me that this rifle is a "badass" and he wasn't kidding. The first thing I noticed was the tactical Ambos lower parts kit that came with the rifle. This kit includes everything you need to build or upgrade your own AR-15 lower receiver. It's a great resource for anyone looking to customize their rifle.

**The Lower Profile Gas Block**

Next, we have the lower profile gas block. This is a key component in any AR-15, as it allows us to attach our upper receiver and barrel. The fact that this one has a lower profile makes it easier to install and removes, which can be a real pain when you're not used to working with firearms. My friend told me that it took some effort to remove the gas block from the rifle, but he managed to do it eventually.

**The MFT Forgrip**

Now, let's talk about the MFT forgrip. This is what attaches to your lower receiver and provides a comfortable grip for shooting. I was impressed by how well it fit into place and how easy it was to install. My friend told me that this forgrip is designed to reduce recoil and improve accuracy.

**The Magpole ACSL**

Next up, we have the magpole ACSL. This is an adjustable and locking stock that provides a comfortable grip for shooting. I was impressed by how well it fit into place and how easy it was to install. My friend told me that this stock is designed to reduce recoil and improve accuracy.

**The Vortex Spitfire Optic**

Now, let's talk about the optic on the rifle. My friend chose a Vortex Spitfire, which is a great red dot sight with a 1X magnification. I have to admit, I was skeptical at first when he told me that this was a 1X optic. But after using it for a while, I realized that it's not just about the magnification - the quality of the optic is what really matters. The Vortex Spitfire is a great example of this.

**Modifications and Upgrades**

My friend also told me that he had to make some modifications to the rifle before shooting it. He had to use a Dremel to remove the gas block from the lower receiver, which was a bit challenging. But after that, everything went smoothly. He also added a pistol grip and installed a 30-round magazine, which is the maximum capacity for rifles in California.

**California Regulations**

As you know, California has some of the strictest gun laws in the country. One of the regulations that we had to follow was the use of a "bullet button" on the rifle. This is a block that prevents the mag from being released too quickly, which can be a safety hazard. My friend told me that this feature is designed to prevent quick reloads and reduce the risk of accidents.

**Shooting the Rifle**

Finally, it's time to shoot the rifle! I have to say, I was impressed by how well everything came together. The rifle handled smoothly, the optic was accurate, and the stock provided a comfortable grip. We spent some time rapid-firing at targets, and not a single jam or malfunction occurred.

**Conclusion**

Overall, my experience with this sporting rifle was incredibly positive. My friend showed me that even if you don't know much about firearms, you can still have fun shooting and modifying them. I also learned that the key to a good rifle is understanding its mechanics and making adjustments as needed. If you're new to firearms like I am, I would definitely recommend checking out this rifle and learning more about how it works.

**Evolution Sports and Amazon**

As I mentioned earlier, my friend purchased all of these components from Evolution Sports in Redland, California. They have an amazing selection of firearms and accessories, and their staff is extremely knowledgeable. If you're looking for a good place to buy firearms or accessories, I would definitely recommend checking them out.

**Final Thoughts**

That's it for today's article! I hope you guys enjoyed reading about my experience with this sporting rifle. If you have any questions or comments, please don't hesitate to reach out. And if you're from California, make sure to check out the regulations regarding firearms and accessories. Until next time, stay safe and happy shooting!

video was doomed before it even started hey what's up guys jay2 here over on the Vlog Channel Jay says and I said on Tech Tok the other day I was building my very first AR-15 and you guys wanted to see it so I sitting here with prototype somebody who has been on the channel before has helped me on quite a few projects including when we beat the out of a computer with a bat 20,000 subscriber special we're at 161,000 that was a while ago it's been a long time so this is Jake with Evolution Sports in Redlands California and actually that's where we picked up all of these parts not a sponsor didn't pay for this I just want to give them a plug because they have I've actually known these guys since they started before they started their business um so I just wanted to go ahead and say that's where everything is from here Evolution Sports so uh go ahead and talk real quick about the lower we're using we're going to put together some parts you guys will see some cool Montage and then we'll talk about the gun at the end of this video well to start out we have the ATI Omni hybrid lower receiver here so basically this is going to be a polymer receiver where it's strengthened with aluminum right at the buffer tube and that's why it's a hybrid yes I was really worried about buying this lower but I did a lot of I did a lot of reviews on this it's steel no I heard it was aluminum it doesn't matter it's reinforced bottom line um I I great reviews on this it's lightweight and uh you know what's funny is is Taylor over at Evolution Sports I asked him I said does is polymer really going to live up to the to the standard he's like look scars are polymer he's like there's so many guns out now that are polymer like MTAR or travars or tars they're all polymer he said the reason why the AR was built out of aluminum was because when they designed the M16 those were the only materials they had at the time so this is actually an advancement of the platform yes so what we're going to do now we're going to go ahead and put together the the the the weapon here the rifle and we're going to have some fun with the videography and then we're going to talk about the gun at the end of the video all right so see you guys soon and he knows more just as much if not more about guns than I do computers that's why he's doing it and I'm not cuz I I'll probably poke an eye out with a spring trying to put something together it's true I I suck at this he going he all right guys so we went ahead and built the rifle last night actually I should say uh Jake here built the rifle actually really impressed with your efficiency skills and the way that you I it's it's almost like you had four arms there well I do what I can that's crazy all right I'm going to be honest here guys I've already said this I don't know a lot about rifles I mean I was trained to shoot my father was a weapons instructor he trained me to shoot but I don't know much about the modern sporting rifle and this is a sporting rifle I just want to point that out uh so what I'm going to do is I'm going to hand it over to Jake here he's going to tell us about the parts we chose why we chose them and uh we're going to go have some fun shooting this badass uh sporting rifle remember it's a sporting rifle so Jake go and tell us what we got here all right so just to start off um the stuff you can't see in here we uh we went ahead and threw in a tactical Ambrose lower parts kit we also have a lower profile gas block here this will let us accommodate the utg pro free floating rail okay this will also have our mft forgrip here we're going to be having a Bravo Company pistol grip and we went with the magpole acsl and that's going to be the adjustable and locking stock that's a badass little stock it doesn't wiggle or anything and it's got storage compart for snacks and then for the Optics we went ahead and went with the Vortex Spitfire it's a very nice red and green dot reticle and it's this is the 1X but they do have a 3X version as well yes um again with a few modifications that we did this was a very hard gas block to remove we actually ended up needing to cut and hack and get it up and running I I had to break out the Dremel and take it to my brand new upper and the a block or the gas block a a post front sight what whatever you want to call it to my brand new Barrel add to dremel on it before it even got shot but as you can see nothing stops US yeah and then besides that just did a quick polish on the Trier or the trigger I love Trier polishes but other than that it's a very great firing weapon can't wait to shoot some more all right so let's go ahead and have some fun shooting w n n a oh he California guys we do have some restrictions I want to address that real quick um is you notice I cannot get the mag out the button right here is actually not a button it's called a bullet button and it's basically a block that causes it so that you can't push the release for the mag they call it a Bullet Button cuz it's designed to take the tip of a bullet stick it in there and then you can release the mag basically it's designed to restrict quick reloads problem number one was California but hey I digress number two this is a 30 round mag from magpol however you can see there's a rivet right here and I'm using my middle finger for a reason uh this actually limits the capacity to 10 Rounds so really that's what it takes to make this in California legal 16 1/ 12 in Barrel 10 round magazine and a Bullet Button now that's not going to stop me from shooting this thing I mean we had a lot of fun out here today uh I got to I got to say I love everything about this gun the adjustable stock uh we did some rapid fire with it not a single Jam or malfunction of any kind uh it's absolutely fantastic now Optics it took some it takes a while to get used to this type of optic for me I was training to shoot on Iron Sites and I was training to shoot on a 8X and 20x Scopes so the whole idea of a red dot was really new to me and I but I had a lot of fun I mean we were killing bowling pins and and whatnot so guys you guys wanted a video about the AR here it is um thank you Jake Evolution Sports Redland California if you guys are local go and check him out everything you see here with the exception of the optic that was Amazon sorry but they do a carry Optics was actually bought purchased background checked everything was done at Evolution Sports so again not a sponsor I just really like these guys and as you can see we put together one hell of a rifle so guys thanks for hanging out today jent over on the blog channel tell me what you guys think about this if you guys have ARS or you live in the beautiful uh United States of America tell us what you're shooting and uh most of you guys will probably be in a in a Southern state where you can have like 40 round mags son of a but I'm going get the hell on out of here let's go shoot some more all right take it easy see you guysyou can go and start at anytime now remember to look at the L I get I still look up there sometimes I don't okay we're never going to get through this no I this this video was
