The Silent AIR COOLED Gaming PC!

Hello Good People! I'm Dmitry and recently, I did a silent system build, which was an enjoyable experience. I had six fans in there, with a total DBA at load of under 35, which was amazing but today, I want to share with you my second adventure into the silent territory - the Silent Base 601.

The Silent Base 601 is a case that allows for maximum airflow and cooling while still being extremely quiet. The case features a sleek design and a variety of fan mounts, making it easy to customize your cooling setup. In this build, I used six fans to achieve an impressive DBA at load of under 35, which is perfect for those who want a silent system without sacrificing performance.

To start building the Silent Base 601, I removed the side panel and secured my CPU cooler using the provided stand-offs. I then connected the eight pin cable from my motherboard to the power supply, making sure everything was clean and tidy. Next, I installed my RAM modules, which fit perfectly into the case's RAM slots. I also installed my GPU, which was a bit of a challenge due to its size, but it fits nicely in the case.

Once all the components were installed, I closed the side panel and secured it with screws. To configure the fan profiles, I used the provided software, which allowed me to adjust the fan speeds and set custom profiles for different temperatures. After some tweaking, I was happy with the results - all my fans were running at approximately 1200 rpm, while still being incredibly quiet.

To test the Silent Base 601, I ran a benchmarking program that pushed my CPU to its limits. The CPU temperature reached an impressive 80 degrees Celsius, while the GPU temperature remained stable at 76 degrees Celsius. However, when I removed the front panel, I was able to drop the CPU temperature by 10 degrees, which is a testament to the case's excellent airflow.

In terms of aesthetics, the Silent Base 601 is available in several colors, including brown and black. The brown color scheme on the fans was initially off-putting for me, but when combined with the RGB lighting, it creates a unique and stylish look. If you're brave enough to experiment with different colors and settings, I highly recommend checking out the Silent Base 601.

In conclusion, the Silent Base 601 is an excellent choice for anyone looking to build a silent system without sacrificing performance. With its sleek design, maximum airflow, and customizable fan setup, this case has it all. Whether you're a seasoned PC builder or a beginner, I highly recommend giving the Silent Base 601 a try.

For those who are interested in building their own silent system, there are several key considerations to keep in mind. First and foremost, airflow is crucial for keeping your components cool while still maintaining silence. This means installing case fans in strategic locations and using a good quality CPU cooler. Additionally, it's essential to balance the need for cooling with the need for quiet operation - this may require some experimentation with fan profiles and settings.

Another important aspect of building a silent system is cable management. Keeping cables organized and secure is crucial for maintaining airflow and preventing dust buildup. I used a combination of zip ties and cable clips to keep my cables tidy, which made a big difference in the overall performance and appearance of the build.

Finally, it's worth noting that even with the best cooling solutions, some noise is inevitable. However, by using high-quality components and configuring your system correctly, you can minimize this noise and create a truly silent operating environment. In my experience, the Silent Base 601 achieved an impressive level of silence while still providing excellent cooling performance.

In the world of PC building, there's always something new to explore and discover. Whether you're looking for improved performance, increased aesthetics, or simply a more efficient system, there's sure to be a solution out there. In my next video, I'll be exploring some of these solutions in greater detail - so be sure to check it out!

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhello good people I'm Dmitry andrecently I did a silent system and theSilent base 801 enjoyable experience Ihad six fans in there the total DBA atload was under 35 which was amazing buttoday we're gonna try to do somethingdifferent and so in that system I usedall be quiet components to silent loop360 with silent wings 3 fans andsilent wings 3 fans for thecases well overall very happy withtemperatures and noise levels and thepump here is practically inaudible butpeople recommending hey if you want togo with silence why not try Noctua and since I have this nice collection ofcoolers over here including the nhd 15which is this massive Towerlots of cooling capacity for the 9900Kand the new NF 812 fans that I'll bereplacing inside the case so I'm reallyexited to see how quiet we can get thesystem to run all on air coolinggotta get those accessorieswell looks like all the components arehere let's start the build right afterthis so you're saying this is the mostcolorful way to cool I'm telling you themaster liquid ml 360 our RGB is the wayto gocooler masters new three sixtymillimeter all-in-one liquid cooler isall about performance in style with acustom low resistance radiator and dualchamber pump wood sleeve tubing for thatpremium look while being totallyflexible the fan strike your balance forair pressure and airflow withtransparent blades to perfectly matchthe colorful combination of the pumpthen you can sync via its own controlleror through various addressable and12-volt RGB connectors alright perhapsyou should check it out in the scriptionbelow alright so the interesting thingabout these two enclosures is the silentbase 601 and 801 are basically anidentical frame like I could literallyjust swap out this glass panel for hereand it would fit perfectly fine but the801 is slightly larger at the bottombecause of the included case feet so youcan take them off and I actually forgotabout this in my review you can pick itup by the bottom versus the keys feed onthe 601 are kind of built into the framewe still have the push button to releasethe side panel I love this approach it'sto us and like I said I could simply putthis panel on the 801 and it would fitand the other difference would be as theprice so the 601 is $30 cheaper so thisguy sells for $130 versus $160 for thewindow version of the 801 now theinternal is very similar both support eATX motherboards the 601 as you can seeslightly smaller because the 801allows you to invert the motherboardtray so there's a bit more heightclearance over here we also have anadditional intake fan on the 801 versushaving only a single one for the 601 anda single exhaust the power supply shroudis also different so this one is fullymetal with only the front modular piecesthat you can move here through mount afan or here to insert that your radiatorverses on the 801 so we have fourmodular pieces the front and thisplastic piece so it is slightlydifferent and I do prefer like the fullybuilt-in power supply shroud on the 601things of the back also look prettysimilar but the 801 has a fan controlfor six fans whereas the 601 does notand finally the i/o is pretty muchidentical with two USB 3 power resetbuttons audio jacks a single USB portand a little fan control over here butit is controlling the included fans andyou cannot add to it it is powered bySATA and we have no pwm fan control andas for noise reduction we have thisreally thick 10 millimeter noiseabsorbing foam on the rear panel and onthe front panel everything is dust proofprotected so a nice giant dust filterfor your front fans and removing thebottom dust filter from the front niceand convenient there's also the noiseabsorbing material for the top that iskept clear of your ventilation space atthe back as for a fan and radiatormounts you can do a 360 or 280 up topand the same thing goes for the front sopretty good water cooling and airflowoptions alright so now that we arefamiliar what this case is all about the601 is basically an 801 with a slightlyshorter power supply shroud and lessheight above the motherboard for allyour radiator stuff I think it's time todo our sideall right so I think that would be afirst for me you know having thatclassical relaxing music for a buildingmontage computer but that represents mymood perfectly with the silent bass 601say what you will about the brown Noctuaoffense but once they're all together inthe system and it's not just like onecooler it's all the fans in the systemit makes total sense and they kind oflike bring it all together I didn't haveto replace the front fan on the CPUcooler because the RAM modules areslightly too high for it and yeah yougot five fans in there let's make surethat this thing is running silent as forcable management as you can seeeverything is perfectly clean I'm notrunning multiple drive so I just stashedaway my SSD right in here I secured my24 pin and the PCI cables right behindhere also connected the eight pin soyeah everything is clean the side panelcloses without any force and we'veplenty of space over there for moregoing to need to close the mister windowbecause of that lovely constructionnoise outdoors I'm probably gonna haveto wait for after they're finished to domy DBA measurements but for now let'sactually go ahead and set this thing upand configure all the fan profiles sothey're just whisper quiet but also giveme the enough cooling because of thathot hot hot 9900K a few moments lateroh all right so after some tweaking I'mhappy with everything that I'veconfigured here all my fans are runningabout 1200 rpm and they're incrediblyquiet I'm impressed Noctua well doneexcept for the middle large fan that'srunning around a thousand rpm becausethat one gets slightly louder if youpush the rpm higher now my target DBAfor anything silent for my own sort ofpreference would be under 35 DBA at loadand so this system right now is runningabout 34 DBA at load this is with theGPU at 44 percent and the CPU running at4.7 gigahertz so very happy with theresult it is slightly just a tiny bitlouder than my silent base 801 system andI think that is because all the noise inthis system is coming fromback so all that exhaust air and if Ireduce the RPM of the rear fan thesystem is basically completely silentbut then we kind of lose on coolingbecause that is the only way to exhaustair versus on my silent base 801 machineI had three fans exhausting hair and Ithink the noise was there a little bitmore distributed versus here where it'sall kind of concentrated in that rearsection as for temperatures the CPU ranat 80 degrees Celsius this is the 9900Kat 4.7 gigahertz so it's bit hot I couldtweak around with the voltages to reducethat temperature there the GPU wasrunning at 76 degrees Celsius without44% fan speed so the system ispractically inaudible but it is slightlyhot inside of course I can increase thespeed of the front fans and thatdefinitely pushes a lot of that air outit helps with intake as well butinterestingly when I removed that frontpanel so when I remove this front panelyou can hear a lot more noise is beingescaped from the front but we droppedour CPU temperature by 10 degrees so itlooks like there's always that balanceof trying to make a machine silent whilealso perform good with airflow and youknow 10 degree drop with a simple panelremoval yeah I guess that is ourdirection when it comes to silent casesnow for all of you who are saying heythat brown color scheme on the fans isabsolutely ugly and I was one of thosepeople as well but Noctua makesblack fans and when they're all togetherthey can't make sense and they lookpretty good but if you're brave enoughto maneuver yourself into the RGBdirection definitely check out colororange that I think complements thebrown very well I'm not going overlycrazy but here's an example with theLian Li streamer cable something that isbecoming a lot more popular with thoseindividually colored 24 and 8 pin cablesso that's something to keep in mindalright so that concludes my secondadventure into the silent territory I'mhappy with the silent base 601 of coursecooling is a big compromise especiallywhen you remove that front panel noteven the best filter leave the dustfilter in but that front panel is amajor hindrance for air flow so you gotto balance out certain things when itcomes tomaking sure that your system stayssilent all right guys I'm Dmitry hopeyou enjoy this contentthere's more right over here our newboot sequence channel is over here tosnow is here the main and we'll see youin next video I guess I will concludelike last time as always stay quiet myfriends\n"
