**A Deep Dive into My Upcoming Reads**
As I sit here with my TBR list, I have to say that I'm really excited about the books that are lined up for me over the next few months. It's been a while since I've had a bunch of new releases to look forward to, and I'm eager to dive into some of these stories.
First up is **"Her Secrets" by Monica Murphy**, which seems like a real page-turner. The premise is that the protagonist has a tutor who becomes her love interest, but things get complicated when she discovers that he's been sneaking around behind his best friend's girlfriend's back. I love the sound of this slow burn romance, and I'm intrigued by the fact that the protagonist knows all his secrets. There's something about knowing someone's deepest secrets that can be both exhilarating and terrifying.
Next up is **"Culti" by Mariana Zapata**, which has me a bit nervous but also excited. The premise is that the protagonist was once a huge fan of a soccer player, and she idolized him so much that she even had posters on her wall of him. But now, he's become her coach again, and things have changed. I'm not entirely sure what to expect from this one, but I love Mariana Zapata's writing style, and I've heard great things about her books.
I also recently picked up **"Long Way Home" by Jessica Hastings**, which has a beautiful cover that immediately caught my eye. The premise is that this book is part of the Lancaster crew series, and it seems like it's going to be a real drama-fest with some incredibly toxic characters. I love a good toxic romance, and I'm excited to dive into this one.
Last but not least, there's **"Daisy Hayes: The Great"**, which has a stunning cover that I just can't get enough of. The premise is that this book is the second in the Magnolia Parks series, and it seems like it's going to be a real page-turner with some great characters from previous books making appearances. I'm particularly excited to see more of Daisy and Christian's story.
**My Reading Experience with Mariana Zapata**
I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical about reading Mariana Zapata's books at first. While I've heard great things about her writing style, I didn't quite connect with her previous two books, **" Luca with Love"** and **"The Wall of Winnipeg and Me"**. But despite my initial disappointment, I'm excited to give her another try with **"Culti"**.
I think what's holding me back from loving Mariana Zapata's books is that they often have a very slow burn romance element to them, which can be a bit off-putting for me. However, I've heard that this one might be different, and I'm eager to see if it will win me over.
One thing that does excite me about **"Culti"** is the soccer aspect of the story. The protagonist was once a huge fan of a soccer player, and she idolized him so much that she even had posters on her wall of him. This sounds like a really unique premise, and I'm curious to see how Mariana Zapata develops it.
Overall, I'm excited to give **"Culti"** another try and see if it will become one of my favorite books by Mariana Zapata. Fingers crossed!
**My Book Buying Habits**
I have to admit that I'm a bit guilty when it comes to book buying habits. While I love reading and discovering new books, I can get carried away with buying too many copies of the same title. But despite my best efforts, I just can't seem to stop buying books.
Luckily, I've recently joined a book club, which has helped me to stay accountable and focus on finding more meaningful reads. Our first meeting is scheduled for February 1st, and I'm excited to meet some like-minded readers who share my passion for reading.
While I do try to pace myself when it comes to buying new books, I have to say that I just can't help myself sometimes. There's something about discovering a new author or series that gets me really excited, and before I know it, I've bought half a dozen copies of the same book.
Despite my best efforts, I don't think I'll ever be able to resist buying books entirely. But with the help of my book club, I'm hoping to find more balance in my reading habits and focus on finding the books that truly resonate with me.
