Hey Guys: Exciting Book Club Announcement

Hey guys, it's Reagan and today I am filming a very exciting announcement video so stay tuned. So basically my friend Sasha over at A Book Utopia and I decided to make a book club a monthly book club where we pick a book, we read a book, you guys can read it along with us, and then at the end of the month we have a live show where we talk about the book and all of its spoilery details which just sounds so much fun.

This book club is gonna be monthly there's gonna be one book every month and you're free to read it with them. August is going to be our official first month, so we came together put our heads together and we decided to pick for the first book "Rook" by Sharon Cameron. Now we decided to pick this because it seems like a great mix of what we both love, both of us are deep lovers of Waia fantasy and this is a Why-ya fantasy dystopian novel.

It's set in an alternate Paris and Colonial America so it has kind of a historical fiction feeling but with a twist. Essentially, it follows two characters: one of which is an aristocratic girl whose family is kind of in financial ruin, so she's been arranged to marry this guy to save her family. He seems a little bit more than he seems, um and but so is she. Within this world, overshadowing the whole thing, there is this character called Rook who is sort of an outlaw that's a champion for the innocent and kind of fights against the aristocrats.

And of course, because of that, he is very much a wanted man. So amongst her marriage and everything else that's going on, there's this overlay of Rook and all of the cat and mouse going on with that. This sounds like a really, really fun fast-pacing adult read that I personally haven't seen anything about it on BookTube. It sounds really fun so we thought this would be a great pick for our first book club pick.
