Unboxing the iPhone 4: A Closer Look
As I open the box, I'm greeted with a familiar sight - the original iPhone, my dad's iPhone 3G, and my own 3GS. It seems that Apple has decided to release an upgrade to their iPhone lineup, and I get to unbox it. The new device is called the iPhone 4, and as you can see, it comes in a sleek, slim design with a glass back.
The box itself is slightly smaller than the previous ones, but it still contains all the necessary accessories that come with an iPhone. There's the standard AC plug, USB charging cable, dock connector, and of course, earphones. But what catches my eye is the inclusion of Apple stickers, which are tiny and almost invisible in the light.
As I open the box further, I'm met with a sense of excitement. This is the first time I've ever held an iPhone, let alone unboxed one. The device feels sturdy and premium, much like the original iPhone. It's clear that Apple has made significant design changes to create a more sleek and modern look.
The front of the iPhone 4 features the iconic Apple logo, as well as the volume up and down buttons, which have been replaced by the traditional rocker buttons. The orientation lock is still present, but it now takes the form of a small circle with a plus sign in the center. One feature that's not immediately noticeable is the absence of storage capacity on the back of the device.
Moving to the sides, we see the antennas and the speaker and microphone outlets. It's clear that Apple has designed the iPhone 4 to be more visually appealing than its predecessor. The front-facing camera is also prominent, with a VGA resolution of 640x480. And, as expected, there's no Adobe Flash logo on the device - a nod to the company's shift towards HTML5.
The back of the iPhone 4 features a stunning glass design that catches the light beautifully. There are no plastic or metal accents to be seen, only sleek, rounded edges that make it feel like a work of art in your hands. The camera is a significant upgrade from its predecessor, with a 5-megapixel sensor and an LED flash for better low-light performance.
As I examine the device more closely, I notice the absence of a storage capacity label on the back. It's not a major issue, but it's a subtle change that highlights Apple's focus on design over functional details. The device also features a 30-pin dock connector, which is familiar territory for iPhone users.
The packaging itself is minimalist, with a focus on showcasing the device in all its glory. There are no unnecessary extras or clutter - just the essential accessories and a few Apple stickers to round things out. It's clear that Apple wants to create an unboxing experience that's as sleek and modern as the device itself.
Comparing the iPhone 4 to my own 3GS, it's clear that this new device is a significant upgrade. The glass back gives it a premium feel, while the stainless steel frame makes it more durable than its predecessor. One thing that does strike me is the lack of signal strength in the iPhone 4 - I'm not sure if this will be an issue for everyone, but it's certainly something to consider.
As I finish unboxing the iPhone 4, I have to admit that I'm excited to use it. The retina display promises to be a game-changer, and the front-facing camera is already generating buzz online. While it's not mine - my dad's iPhone will have to wait - I know I'll be getting one soon. And when I do, I can only imagine how amazing it'll feel in my hands.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enit is that time of year to unbox a new iPhone as you probably know Apple releases a new iPhone this time every year between June and July well it is July 2nd 2010 and now I'm here to unbox the iPhone 4 there it is down there I'm hiding it in the middle I know very clever right anyway as you can see I do have all the iPhone boxes one of these is mine that is the original iPhone this is my dad's iPhone 3G since I do not own the 3G and this is my 3GS box since I got this this time last year actually I think like a week from today maybe something like that here's a new iPhone 4 I should know that this is not mine this is my dad since I'm not fully eligible to upgrade yet since I got the 3Gs last year and quite frankly I don't feel like paying what $200 extra or something like that as much as I want the sexy Retina display the HD camera FaceTime front-facing camera all that stuff I just can't uh use that this year but that's okay at least I have my dad's to use so here's the Ione 4 box it's a little Slimmer than the other boxes and let's just get this open basic plastic put that down there and here we go now it would be funny if I open that and a Android phone was in there not really any here it is this is my first time even holding the new iPhone oh wow wow this thing has a nice sturdy feel to it I have to agree with a lot of people saying this feels like the original iPhone cuz it's a lot of metal and it's no longer the plastic back cuz we do have a glass back which looks amazing quite frankly I think the front I mean the back looks even better than the front uh so there's the front side no longer The Rocker buttons volume up volume down uh The Rocker I mean the uh orientation lock Now for iOS 4 no I mean sorry that's silence but you can use it for that uh the software I mean quick video jump there here's the back of the iPhone 4 this is now a 5 megapixel camera which is awesome and finally an LED flash no not a Adobe Flash thank God and here's the Apple logo and as mentioned the back is entirely glass so you'll definitely want to use a case for this you do not want to drop this and interestingly enough it no longer shows a storage capacity on the bottom I don't know why Apple went with that but it's really not a huge deal here's the micro SIM tray right there back obviously has a 30 pin dock connector which the iPod and iPhone and iPod touch and all of Apple's Portables basically are famous for and the uh speaker and microphone up here we have the onoff switch and sleep wake button and your standard 3 and a half millimeter headphone jack and on the sides here I should definitely note are the antennas so there's one there one up top there and yes of course the famous one down here for lefties because I know a lot of people are complaining about signal strength so I'll see if this phone has that issue and here is the front-facing camera VGA 640x480 I believe and there's obviously ly the um speaker also included is fingertips I've always liked that word selection apples done fingertips uh basically just a manual showing how to use the iPhone the iPhone's like insanely easy to use little kids can use it so but it's still cool that they include it um important product information guide for the iPhone 4 and yes I do include Apple stickers many Apple stickers I should say how tiny they are you really can't see them that well in the light plastic piece for protection get that over there your standard AC plug very tiny for USB charging your standard dock connector cable USB obviously and of course Apple does include earphones with the iPhone um and of course it has the built-in mic that we're all used to somewhere around there um um yeah right there duhh with the volume control as well and that is it it also includes a mini bookshelf that actually looks like the ibook's app a little bit doesn't it maybe not anyway here's the iPhone 4 again one last look and here's my 3GS for a comparison if you're interested in the uh the width of it the thickness and yes as you can probably tell an entirely new design everything is pretty much different and there you go guys an unboxing of the iPhone 4 again I should mention this is not my iPhone will I be getting one in in the near future we'll see because this is really going to torture me especially the retina display I cannot wait to see that in action I've heard it's amazing and the front-facing camera alone is a huge selling point for me so thanks for watching guys as always check out the Social Links under this video for
