How to Make Cute Panda Onigiri

Hello Lovely: A Guide to Making Little Panda Onig Gidi

Hello lovely! It's Emmy here, and I'm excited to share with you a little kind of recipe that I found when I was in Los Angeles. This recipe makes Little Panda onig gidi, which are little rice balls that are the Japanese equivalent of a sandwich. So many kids and folks have onig gidy for lunch, which are just seasoned rice balls.

The kit includes a little mold panda mold and a nuan or seaweed puncher that makes the actual face. Let's go in the kitchen and I'll show you how it's done. It's really really simple and really easy. Begin with assembling your mold and then carefully filling it up with cooked rice. Cook suer rice works best, but in this case, I use Jasmine it seemed to work fine. Don't forget to fill in the ears as well after you fill your mold.

Place the plunger on top and give everything a good press remove the plunger and then invert it onto a plate and carefully press your rice ball out next carefully wiggle off the black portion of the mold and you should have a very cute panda shaped oniy. The next part's really simple just take your Nori and slide it into the Nori punch and press on top. You should have a pair of ears and a pair of eyes and a little nose and mouth then just stick them onto the onti and you're all set.

So, just lay a bed of lettuce in your bento box then place your two Panda oties inside for some additional color I'm using this little silicone cupcake wrapper you can use anything you like. Then pop in a few cherry tomatoes for color and if you want some extra cuteness add some of these cute skewers so you can make onti without one of these puncher kits. I have a couple of videos I'll put the links down below where you can make onti the Triangular shape onti just with your impeccably clean hands.

Here's the finished ento ta, so very cute and very very very simple. Um, I made them plain but you can of course put a filling in there if you like. Here's Little Panda hi everyone and now he's going to be consumed here we go it's the doy malls and it's good, it's nothing surprising, it's just a little bit of it's just rice with a little bit of nori but again you can make it as complex or as simple as you want. I would truly recommend this kid.
