The Deal with Prince of Persia and the Oregon Trail
So I'm up but I keep trying to configure the controller in the options of this game no stop it okay so I'm yeah I'll have to set this up and um get it working I'm going to escape out of here with oh let's try start and select nope so since I'm not able to escape I may have to just reboot the Raspberry Pi all right so I had to reboot the Raspberry Pi to get out of Prince of Persia. You'll run into a few problems running some you know running dos box but for the most part A Lot of these games work right off and they work very well for the last game I'm going to test and this is not a joke me saying this is one of the best games ever made in the history of gaming is Oregan Trail. Now I used to play this game in school I have played this game thousands of times I freaking love this game and for me to be able to play it on my Raspberry Pi is pretty awesome just even the logo brings back so many memories.
Okay so what we're going to do is travel the trail by pressing one the banker from Boston I think starts with 800 he starts with the most I'm going to be a farmer from Illinois I know I don't you know I know I work harder than the banker from Boston and I don't make as much money but I put pride in what I grow uhuh yeah and I provide for his family from my crops so let's do Randy Kelly Ron and Bill I don't know why for yes we're just going to leave in March just going to try to Breeze through this so I only start with 400 cuz I'm a bank cuz I'm a farmer but I'm a tough farmer and I can survive these elements I'm used to working outside don't have clothing let's do 10 pair of clothing ammunition yeah how many boxes do I want 25 25 and then spare parts Wagon Wheel I'm going to get two wheels two axles one tongue and perfectly I spent all my freaking money but I got my family and I feeling confident about traing traveling this Oregon Trail here let's get on the trail guys ready to leave it all behind maybe I can play this game L okay so I'm at the Kansas River Crossing I am not going to try to Ford this River there is no way you can make me do this no but look at the beautiful scenery here in Kansas guys I mean just to be sitting by that tree with a fishing rod that would be amazing but we cannot do that all right continue the trail oh man I do not want to I'm going to take the Fairy Oh I don't have any money am I going to be able to too oh my gosh just because okay let's float AC what the heck damn Billy and Kelly already died what the oh well I'm gonna hunt we're gonna hunt all right that's right everyone gosh where are my keys here oh man why can't I shoot what has happened there we go I don't know why I wasn't shooting before no I'm going to kill something oh got it I was unable to shoot any food I still got plenty of food so I want to keep on the trail guys gosh Big Blue River Crossing I I'm GNA look around oh man very nice imagine I'm St in that my let's continue down the trail all right it's only 4 point yeah 4.3 feet let's forward this rip on dang man Yes mine as well lots of nice people here we're all going to die we're going to die on the orgon trail Jesus Randy died WR died I don't even want to look around anymore this whole trip was a bad idea everybody in my family died baby oh my gosh we back to the we're 190 Mi away I'm not going to make it we're dead guys it's it's over no we've got to make it we're not going to make it yes we are I've lost all hope I died I freaking died oh well back out of here see if we can get out of this one well that's it guys that's the you know older Doss games running on the Raspberry Pi 3 with retro Pi 3.7 feeling a little down cuz I died really quick in the organ trail and I killed my whole family so I don't know what to do but anyway thanks for watching guys if you have any questions leave them down below if you have any comments also leave them down below or send me a private message you can send me a private message by going to my channel page clicking about and send message and like always thanks for watching

I'll be using dosbox here and I will also be using my keyboard to control the games um there is a lot of games that work with dosbox and there are a few games that need some configuration I'm not going to get into the configuration right now I will make a separate tutorial but right now I wanted to show you some games running on retro Pi 3.7 in dosbox first game we're going to try out is Duke Nukem 2 now these games are placed in the PC folder in your retro pi directory oh man we'll just start a new game here so I have not played this game in Forever we're going to see what happens here and I'm going to go with easier okay so my shoot is alt my jump is control left and right are my arrow keys let's see what we can get done here I used to play this game all the time woo oh what happened oh the green goo a and I ran right into it cool ah just about go this way here oh my gosh ah my hands are actually hurt hting from the way I have them on this keyboard no well that gives you an idea of how the game runs it runs perfectly under dosbox this is the Duke Nukem 2 one really really really good game for um old MS DOS Windows 95 I believe I used to play this on so we're just going to hit escape on our keyboard yes escape again why for yes okay next game I'm going to try here we'll try epic pinball and this is the wrong scraped image here it's showing me that it's Star Wars pinball I accidentally scraped um that game and I didn't mean to scrape any games at all so this was a really really good pinball game and I'm going to use cyborg girl girl all right so control is my shoot button um and my arrow keys are my paddles well that was horrible I used to play uh Adams Family pinball I used to love The Adams Family pinball game and I know there was a few of them I'm not sure what it was I was so young but uh or which version it was in the real arcades uh we had a beetle juu when I lived at the beach a Beetlejuice I'm pretty sure it was a Beetlejuice arcade game or arcade pinball machine man we wasted so many quarters in that I Lov playing that game so you see we have some screen tearing um when the screen moves down fast but I mean I can definitely deal with that playing this old pinball game yes know why I hit that wrong key again right down the middle Escape should bring us out yes why for yes escape again should bring us back to the emulation station front end Fallout uh I cannot get this to work this is this is actually the Fallout one demo and I'm going to be working on getting Fallout running on this I've heard rumors that it does run if you guys know how to run it let me know in the comments below Grand Theft Auto and GTA Doss I'm thinking this was the one I need to hit to play it I'm just using my keyboard in this there are ways to configure controllers like I said I will make another tutorial on I'll run this in High color I'll make a tutorial on setting up let's say world or not World of Warcraft Warcraft 2 cuz you need to mount a disc in in order for to play yeah and we'll just choose Travis all I got is Liberty City unlocked right here Gangsta Bang all right so I use my arrow keys here okay we go now I have to find what key will allow me to get into these cars here there has to be a way to do it it's just so hard for me to play these games with the older control scheme on the keyboard there we go it was just r ah Mo them down but the game runs surprisingly well most most of the games that I've tried run pretty decent um except for the screen tearing there has to be a way to set vsync on unless there is no way to set it on I'm not sure so we can get rid of that screen tearing but I'm on the Raspberry Pi and I am overclocked to 1.4 GHz this should run on Raspberry Pi 2 or Raspberry Pi 3 with no overclock should perform very very well but I was just going to drive around a little bit smash the cars up it's just pretty cool to see these older Doss games running now was there an option for motorcycles yes sweet you can getc oh think I died no oh that cop is after me getting this old Ford truck nope I'm not going to get in busted so Escape should bring us to the main menu of the game and then we'll escape again to get out to emulation station all right so little big adventure is a foreign game and I cannot read the text at all I'm going to try Prince of Persia and I haven't tried this so it might not even work all right what am I doing here so I have no controls right now I'm trying to hit every button no I have no clue what's going on with this oh my controller my controller works why am I ducking down ah okay so my controller Works my controller almost works I just keep ducking down I don't know what the deal is and he just stabbed me in the heart and I'm dead that's it the Prince
