The Apple iPhone 8: A Leaked Breakdown of its Features and Specifications
The iPhone 8 is expected to be announced at Apple's event on September 12, which will also mark the release date for the device. The leak suggests that the iPhone 8 will have a slightly larger battery than the previous models, with one source stating that it is only slightly smaller than a 4.7-inch iPhone. This increase in battery size is attributed to the L-shaped design of the logic board, which allows for more room inside the phone for a larger battery.
The Apple A11 processor will also be used in the iPhone 8, and it is more power-efficient due to its 10nm process. Additionally, the OLED display will be more power-efficient than an LCD display, making the overall device more energy-efficient. Furthermore, the Face ID technology, which is expected to be released with the iPhone X, may also be available on the iPhone 8.
Storage options for the iPhone 8 are expected to include 64 gigabytes and 256 gigabytes of storage, with some reports suggesting that a 512 gigabyte option may also be available. However, it's unclear why such a large storage capacity would be necessary, as most people store their data in the cloud or use external hard drives for larger files.
Release Date and Pre-Order Information
The release date for the iPhone 8 has been confirmed to be September 12, with pre-orders starting around the same time. The leak suggests that the price of the iPhone 8 will be around $999, which is slightly higher than the previous model's base storage option. However, some analysts believe that prices may be lower, starting at around $800-$900.
Other features and specifications of the iPhone 8 are not yet confirmed, but based on past leaks and rumors, it's possible that the device will include a number of new and exciting features. Whether or not these rumors are accurate remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: the iPhone 8 is expected to be an impressive device with a range of innovative features.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the leak on the iPhone 8 suggests that the device will have a slightly larger battery than previous models, thanks to its L-shaped design. The Apple A11 processor and OLED display will also make the device more power-efficient, while Face ID technology may be available for added security. Storage options are expected to include 64 gigabytes and 256 gigabytes of storage, with some reports suggesting that a 512 gigabyte option may also be available. Release date and pre-order information has been confirmed, with prices expected to start at around $999.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enso this is it the video you've all been waiting for the iPhone 8 is two weeks away by the way and it's actually been a full year since I started my league summer series on the iPhone 8 this was the first episode and actually made this back in August 2016 so in case you want to go back to this video I think it would be pretty interesting to see what we need in August 2016 on the iPhone 8 and what we know now in August 2017 and as it's been my tradition for so many years now it's time for another final leaks & rumors episode this time on the iPhone 8 so I'll be covering everything you need to know about the iPhone 8 everything from the design display full specs camera special features battery storage options price release date and so so so much more so yeah this this is the video so grab some snacks some drinks whatever you wish and get ready for this really in that video and yet of course enjoy okay so at number one starting off with not the design but the actual name so how is this phone going to be called well the iPhone has actually turned ten years by the way in 2017 so this is why Apple is making this this very big change to the iPhone lineup and everyone including myself have been calling this the iPhone eight obviously for consistency purposes but since Apple is also releasing the iPhone 7s on which I have done a final exam rumours episode as well by the way calling it the iPhone 8 might just kill all the iPhone 7s sales so some other naming possibilities will be the iPhone Pro the iPhone Edition the iPhone X or simply just the iPhone now I would say that the iPhone Pro would be the most likely option since Apple seems to be using this naming scheme much more often now so with the MacBook Pros with the iPad pros and more recently with the new iMac pro as well and call engages the iPhone is also a pretty possible choice and this is what Apple has been doing with the iPad lineup so the 2017 iPad pros are just called the iPad pros and the 2017 iPad air 5 so to say that's just called the iPad so yeah I've also done a video a review end of review on that as well in case you're curious let me know the comments which naming option do you guys think would be the most suitable one for the new 2017 major iPhone redesign next up we have the design so design wise this is Apple's biggest departure from the original iPhones design back in 2007 so the home button is getting removed entirely so say goodbye to the home button and also say goodbye to the side bezels and the bottom bezel and the top bezel well almost so why this major design change well the reason for this is because the iPhones have always had a massive footprint so they're relatively large devices with a fairly small screen screen size that's that's what I mean so if you take a look at the Samsung Galaxy S a plus versus the iPhone 7 plus there are almost the exact same size yeah the Samsung Galaxy S a plus comes with a much much larger 6.2 into the display versus the 5.5 inches that we have on the iPhone 7 plus so this is why Apple had to redesign the interior from scratch I think then again it's also turning ten years so that's also one of the reasons but yeah it's definitely needed a full redesign but wait there's more the sides will now be made out of stainless steel instead of aluminum cell same as on the iPhone 4s and the iPhone four back in the day and the back will also be made out of glass so again very similar to the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s now when it comes to the actual dimensions the iPhone 8 is getting thicker so 7.57 millimeters thick versus 7.1 which is what we had in the iPhone 7 and 7.3 which is what we had on the iPhone 7 plus so it small difference and in terms of the height actually it's a pretty big difference so it's going to be 144 mm your stall versus 138 which is what we had on the iPhone 7 or 158 which is what I have on the iPhone 7 plus and now when it comes to the actual width of the phone it's 70 94 millimeters wide versus 67.1 on the iPhone 7 or 78 on the iPhone 7 plus so compared to the iPhone 7 plus it's significantly easier to hold in the hand since it's not as wide as the iPhone 7 plus but it's also not as tall as the iPhone 7 plus and when compared to gave on seven well the 4.7 inches iPhone it's not really that much larger okay now when it comes to colors we are getting three colors on the iPhone 8 instead of the six colors that we got to the iPhone 7 so we're getting the iPhone 8 in black silver and then there's also a new color which is going to be called most likely blush gold which actually looks pretty pretty good I think it kind of reminds us of the brown leather cases for the iPhone but I think it looks pretty good I wouldn't personally pick the blush goal just because you know you can get a black one and just get a case but still looks pretty good moving on to the display so when it comes to the display size we are getting a really really big improvement here so a five-point eight inches display versus the 4.7 one that we had on the iPhone 7 success and f-16 and 5.5 inches that we had on the plus models so we were getting a larger display than even the iPhone 7 plus in a form factor that's almost the same size as a 4.7 inches iPhone how awesome is that and then the resolution is also getting improvement finally so it's going to be increased to either 24 36 by 11 25 that would be for the entire five point eight inches display and this would actually translate to a PPI of 462 or the second option is the same resolution but only for the active display area and then 2,800 by 12 42 for the interactive display area plus the function bar which would actually translate to a PPI of 528 which would actually be almost the same as the 531 which we have on a Samsung Galaxy s8 plus but a biggest display improvement by far is when it comes to the display panel so we're finally getting an O LED display panel finally so the only Apple product that actually uses and all the display would be well this one the Apple watch so an OLED display has so many advantages over LCD I mean her contrast better viewing angles not even to mention those perfect black levels since basically the pixels on an all of the display they provide above the color and the backlight so you don't actually need a backlight so you can turn on individual pixels off and on whenever you wish so you can actually get that really that basically perfect deep black levels and then an only display also consumes less energy so the only downsides your an already display would actually be burnin and also the fact that you it can actually get as bright as an LCD display but you don't really care about that and smart phones this is mostly an issue with TVs so overall LED this is the biggest display improvement that we're getting on the iPhone 8 now uttering that the refresh rate might also be getting an improvement so on the new 2017 iPad pros for example we have a pro motion display which can actually go up to a hundred and twenty Hertz so what does this all mean well it means that the iPad pro can actually display up to 120 frames per second up from 60 frames per second which is basically what every single Apple device can do right now so promotion might be coming to the iPhone 8 as well and not only would this mean that everything you did would be basically twice more fluid including games but also promotion display would consume less battery since the refresh rate is dynamically adjustable so for example if you're let's say you're watching a Netflix movie it would actually switch to 24 Hertz if you're watching a YouTube video it will automatically switch to 30 Hertz since most YouTube videos are 30 Hertz including this one and if you're playing a game or scrolling through a menu it would actually switch to 120 Hertz and make everything so so more fluid but what you're all probably really curious about is this top display area so basically the sensor bar so this thing is actually needed for the front-facing camera for the earpiece and also a couple of more sensors which I'm going to cover in a second but a good news here is that Apple won't actually be trying to hide this sensor bar so there has been an image found in the latest on performer showing this exact design for the iPhone 8 and as you can see the top sensor bar isn't hidden by a black LED bar like we previously believed so basically the content and everything you do will actually scroll until the very top so in some apps and some games and you know most video apps this will probably would not be the case because you will have a black bar so that it doesn't really interfere with the content but when it comes to web browsing and the general menu and the home screen and so on you will have this section here pretty much all the time okay so we've seen the design the display now what about the specs so when it comes to the specs we are getting some pretty big changes here as well so Ram wise we're still getting three gigabytes of RAM by the way so same as only iPhone 7 plus but it's not really an issue since RAM management on iOS is just so so good I've actually done a few ultimate speed tests comparing the iPhone 7 and Gavin 6s which come with two gigabytes of RAM verse that the Samsung Galaxy s8 in this samsung galaxy s 8 plus and the s7 which come with 4 gigabytes of RAM and by the way the iPhones actually won by a mile even with half the amount of RAM so veronica's RAM management iOS is just so so good but a biggest performance improvement is actually going to be in terms of the processor so we are getting the the new Apple 811 processor which is actually based on a smaller 10 nanometer process this is down from the sea the nanometer which we which was what we had on the Apple a 10 ship so what does this all mean well it means that it's smaller in size it also consumes less energy and it's also much more powerful than the Apple a10 processor which was already a monster now there have been some leaked Geekbench scores from about four different sources all showing scores for the Apple 11 ship between 4,500 for a single core score and about 8500 for the multi-core one which is just crazy high obviously it's it's pretty high it's crazy so this not only smokes every single smartphone processor out there by a mile including the Exodus 1895 which was which is what we had on the s8 so this one actually scores about 90 1966 for the silver core and about 6500 for a multi-core and by the way even a two hundred point difference in the single core performance is a lot by the way the Apple 11 processor is 2500 points higher not 200 2500 points higher which is the words so the Apple 11 processor would be even more powerful than the 2017 13-inch MacBook Pro but a 2.3 carats Core i5 processor tabulated by the way and it's also very very close when it comes to the single core performance to the top-of-the-line 15-inch MacBook Pro 2017 so the one that comes with an Intel i7 7920 HQ processor so this is this is a capillary processor and this processor is by the way the most powerful processor you can get in any laptop computer so in any laptop this is the fastest laptop processor that you can get 7920 HQ and the Apple 11 chip is pretty close to that and the same core performance which is just crazy so hopefully this gives you a pretty good idea of how insanely powerful the iPhone 8 is going to be ok so what about the camera well camera wise there's a lot to cover and since I really don't want to make this video two hours long I mean I would but I don't think you would I've actually included the link to my full camera specs and features video in the description box down below and in case you want to get a more detailed look at all the camera features and camera aspects yeah definitely check out another video but yeah long story short the biggest changes are in terms of video so we are getting 4k video at 60 frames per second which by the way alongside with HIV cm coding which is by the way supported in iOS 11 so with each EVC or h.265 support for iOS 11 this would actually occupy 40 to 50 percent less space than what they did in iOS 10 but a cool thing here is that not just the back facing camera will be able to record 4k at 60 but also the front facing one so we're actually getting a massive increase from 1080p 30 which was what I had before to 4k 60 on the front facing camera obviously alongside a resolution bump from 7 megapixels to around 9 to 12 megapixels on a front facing camera so a lot of changes especially on the front facing camera and then all three camera modules are getting larger apertures larger sensors so overall improve the low-light photography from the iPhone 7 now speaking of the iPhone 7 and especially the iPhone 7 plus we are finally getting optical image stabilization on both camera modules on the back not just the main one the white another one so basically what I'm saying is that the zoom lens on the Samsung on the iPhone 8 would be much better in low light since it's also going to come with a larger aperture so between F 2 point 2 2 F 2 point 4 from F 2 point 8 which was what we had on the iPhone 7 plus then another big change is in terms of slow motion so we're finally getting 240 frames per second into ATP from 720 which is basically a double 2x increase in resolution which is pretty cool and yeah these were basically the main features the main changes when it comes to the camera but if you want to know more about the camera check out that detailed final camera specs and features video if you want to know more about all the features and all the specs of the cameras on the iPhone 8 speaking of features let's talk about all the special features that the iPhone 8th is going to come with and there's a lot of them so I'm gonna make this as quick as I can so release charging is going to be the first one it's coming to the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 7s however it's not going to be true while they're charging like we expected at the beginning so instead it's actually going to be an induction based while the charging system so you would actually need to buy a separate charging dock which by the way Apple will be selling you for a really nice price of $100 or 70 to 80 pounds in UK so yeah it's not gonna be cheap and by the way the charging speed would actually be slower than on the Samsung Galaxy s8 for example since it's only going to come with key charging 1.2 so yeah and you won't be able to buy third-party charges from Amazon because those won't work because apples are gonna have a chip inside so there's that okay what else well we are getting a 3d front-facing camera and then also a ton of sensors on that sensor bar on the front so an iris scanner an infrared transmitter an infra receiver and all of these sensors would actually be used to recognize her face and they would also be used for face ID okay so what's face ID well as you probably know Apple is removing touch ID from the iPhone 8 completely and it will be replaced by face ID so face ID will be handling all the upload payments well actually that's the per layer and unlocking the iPhone will also be done for face ID Arjun - we're also getting a smart home button because well the home button is also going away so it's going to be replaced by a virtual one which would allow you to use gestures for activating multiple features such as the control center multitasking and going back home but it's still going to come with full haptic feedback support so same as on the iPhone 7 maybe a tiny bit better actually so an improved version of that that haptic feedback only f-18 and apart from this other special features include a small camera that will be able to detect multiple scenes and then adjust its settings according to those scenes so similar to how a DSLR has multiple shooting modes offering that improved water resistance from ip67 5d 68 and much much much more so same as with the camera by the way I've also done a final features video in case you want to know more about all the features that a iPhone is going to come with and then much more detail moving on to the battery any battery improvements well quite a few so the battery life is actually getting some pretty big improvements and why is that well one of the reasons would be a much larger battery so we're actually expecting to see a 2700 M his batteries or something around 2,700 and they'll be a pretty big improvement from the 1950 that we got on the iPhone 7 and 2900 that we got on the iPhone 8 on the iPhone 7 plus sorry and considering the size of the iPhone 8 which is only slightly larger than a 4.7 inches iPhone the increase in battery size is quite significant now this is because of a number of reasons by the way one of them being the L shaped badly so the logic board is actually made out of two stacks two parts stacked on top of one another basically and it's actually linked by a few connectors so because of this there's actually more room inside the iPhone for a larger battery which is what we are getting with the iPhone 8 now on top of all this the Apple a 11 processor is also more power efficient since it's based on a 10-meter process and among with this the OLED display is also more power efficient than an all-city display much more proficient then we also have the promotion technology which might be coming as well so overall battery life should actually be the same at least as on an iPhone plus maybe just maybe a tiny bit better but most likely just the same as on the iPhones one plus which is pretty impressive in such such a small device again when you compare this to get its own plus ok so what about the storage options well most of the leaks and sources have pointed towards a 64 gigabytes and 256 gigabyte storage options now this is definitely going to be the case but we've also seen a couple of reports suggesting a 512 gigabytes as the third and highest and model for the iPhone 8 now I personally don't see the point in having a 512 gigabytes iPhone especially now since pretty much most of the data is stored in the cloud but if you're the kind of person that would use your iPhone 8 for I don't know video production for example so if you go on a long trips with just your iPhone and no laptop no external hard drives to transfer your footage then maybe just maybe the 512 gigabytes iPhone 8 would be the best option not really because you can just take a camera and multiple SD cards just saying but anyway maybe just maybe probably not okay so what about the release date when is the iPhone 8 going to be released well it's going to be announced on temporary 12 which is well yep at the Apple event and speaking of the September 12 Apple event have actually done on in the video on this as well covering everything you can expect from the Apple event so yeah September 12 announcement and then release around September the 22nd and that would be when the pre-orders would actually start so speaking of pre-orders how much is the iPhone 8 I'm going to cost well most reports have stated a price of around nine hundred ninety nine dollars and that would be around nine hundred and seventy pounds in the UK and that would be the price for the baseline sixty four gigabytes iPhone eight now this would actually be a bit more expensive than the 256 gigabytes iPhone 7 plus now I personally do believe prices to be a tiny bit lower so starting at around the same price as a 128 gigabytes iPhones home plus so around eight hundred $69 or eight hundred and twenty pounds in the UK and obviously then the prices would go up by a hundred dollars or 80 pounds depending on the storage options so there you go final these rumours on the iPhone eight so feel free to check out my previous findings in rumours episodes on the iPhone 7s for example which is also going to be announced and released alongside the iPhone 8 in case you're curious about the iPhone 7s and they've also done one on the iPhone on the Apple watch series three so yeah check out those episodes in case you're curious on the a power series three in the iPhone 7s and even a guy Phone 7 and the iPhone 6s and the iPhone six check out those previous episodes it would be kind of interesting to see how many things I got right in those videos and how many things I got wrong so yeah feel free to check out those videos and also subscribe for more final leaks & rumors episodes also don't forget to enable applications on my channel you can simply do that by tapping on that Bell icon and you'll be notified whenever I upload a brand new epic video or in that if you have enjoyed this video feel free to give it a like to let me know took a really really long time to make so every single like is really appreciated and then finally let me know in the comments how many of you have managed to make it until the end of this really really long video and then finally how many of you are getting an iPhone 8 what do you guys think about the iPhone overall but and this was pretty much it so yeah thank you for watching until the end and congratulations to those of you that made it until the end and finished your popcorn thank you for watching I'm Daniel and I'll see you guys in my next one another pretty awkward ending it's enough that I knowso this is it the video you've all been waiting for the iPhone 8 is two weeks away by the way and it's actually been a full year since I started my league summer series on the iPhone 8 this was the first episode and actually made this back in August 2016 so in case you want to go back to this video I think it would be pretty interesting to see what we need in August 2016 on the iPhone 8 and what we know now in August 2017 and as it's been my tradition for so many years now it's time for another final leaks & rumors episode this time on the iPhone 8 so I'll be covering everything you need to know about the iPhone 8 everything from the design display full specs camera special features battery storage options price release date and so so so much more so yeah this this is the video so grab some snacks some drinks whatever you wish and get ready for this really in that video and yet of course enjoy okay so at number one starting off with not the design but the actual name so how is this phone going to be called well the iPhone has actually turned ten years by the way in 2017 so this is why Apple is making you're curious let me know the comments which naming option do you guys think would be the most suitable one for the new 2017 major iPhone redesign next up we have the design so design wise this is Apple's biggest departure from the original iPhones design back in 2007 so the home button is getting removed entirely so say goodbye to the home button and also say goodbye to the side bezels and the now when it comes to colors we are getting three colors on the iPhone 8 instead of the six colors that we got to the iPhone 7 so we're getting the iPhone 8 in black silver and then there's also a new actually display up to 120 frames per second up from 60 frames per second which is basically what every single Apple device can do right now so promotion might be coming to the iPhone 8 as well and not only would this mean that everything you did would be basically twice more fluid including games but also promotion display would consume less battery since the refresh rate is dynamically adjustable so for example if you're let's say you're watching a Netflix movie it would actually switch to 24 Hertz if you're watching a YouTube video it will automatically switch to 30 Hertz since most YouTube videos are 30 Hertz including this one and if you're playing a game or scrolling through a menu it would actually switch to 120 Hertz and make everything so so more fluid but what you're all probably really curious about is this top display area so basically the sensor bar so this thing is actually needed for the front-facing camera for the earpiece and also a couple of more sensors which I'm going to cover in a second but a good news here is that Apple won't actually be trying to hide this sensor bar so there has been an image found in the latest on performer showing this exact design for the iPhone 8 and as you can see the top sensor bar isn't hidden by a black LED bar like we previously believed so basically the content and everything you do will actually scroll until the very top so in some apps and some games and you know most video apps this will probably would not be the case because you will have a black bar so that it doesn't really interfere with the content but when it comes to web browsing and the general menu and the home screen and so on you will have this section here pretty much all the time okay so we've seen the design the display now what about the specs so when it comes to the specs we are getting some pretty big changes here as well so Ram wise we're still getting three gigabytes of RAM by the way so same as only iPhone 7 plus but it's not consumes less energy and it's also much more powerful than the Apple a10 processor which was already a monster now there have been some leaked Geekbench scores from about four different sources all showing scores for the Apple 11 ship between 4,500 for a single core score and about 8500 for the multi-core one which is just crazy high obviously it's it's pretty high it's crazy so this not only smokes every single smartphone processor out there by a mile including the Exodus 1895 which was which is what we had on the s8 so this one actually scores about 90 1966 for the silver core and about 6500 for a multi-core and by the way even a two hundred point difference in the single core performance is a lot by the way the Apple 11 processor is 2500 points higher not 200 2500 points higher which is the words so the Apple 11 processor would be even more powerful than the 2017 13-inch MacBook Pro but a 2.3 carats Core i5 processor tabulated by the way and it's also very very close when it comes to the single core performance to the top-of-the-line 15-inch MacBook Pro 2017 so the one that comes with an Intel i7 7920 HQ processor so this is this is a capillary processor and this processor is by the way the most powerful processor you can get in any laptop computer so in any laptop this is the fastest laptop processor that you can get 7920 HQ and the Apple 11 chip is pretty close to that and the same core performance which is just crazy so hopefully this gives you a pretty good idea of how insanely powerful the iPhone 8 is going to be ok so what about the camera well camera wise there's a lot to cover and since I really don't want to make this video two hours long I mean I would but I don't think you would I've actually included the link to my full camera specs and features video in the description box down below and in case you want to get a more detailed look at all the camera features and camera aspects yeah definitely check out another video but yeah long story short the biggest changes are in terms of video so we are getting 4k video at 60 frames per second which by the way alongside with HIV cm coding which is by the way supported in iOS 11 so with each EVC or h.265 support for iOS 11 this would actually occupy 40 to 50 percent less space than what they did in iOS 10 but a cool thing here is that not just the back facing camera will be able to record 4k at 60 but also the front facing one so we're actually getting a massive increase from 1080p 30 which was what I had before to 4k 60 on the front facing camera obviously alongside a resolution bump from 7 megapixels to around 9 to 12 megapixels on a front facing camera so a lot of changes especially on the front facing camera and then all three camera modules are getting larger apertures larger sensors so overall improve the low-light photography from the iPhone 7 now speaking of the iPhone 7 and especially the iPhone 7 plus we are finally getting optical image stabilization on both camera modules on the back not just the main one the white another one so basically what I'm saying is that the zoom lens on the Samsung on the iPhone 8 would be much better in low light since it's also going to come with a larger aperture so between F 2 point 2 2 F 2 point 4 from F 2 point 8 which was what we had on the iPhone 7 plus then another big change is in terms of slow motion so we're finally getting 240 frames per second into ATP from 720 which is basically a double 2x increase in resolution which is pretty cool and yeah these were basically the main features the main changes when it comes to the camera but if you want to know more about the camera check out that detailed final camera specs and features video if you want to know more about all the features and all the specs of the cameras on the iPhone 8 speaking of features let's talk about all the special features that the iPhone 8th is going to come with and there's a lot of them so I'm gonna make this as quick as I can so release charging is going to be the first one it's coming to the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 7s however it's not going to be true while they're charging like we expected at the beginning so instead it's actually going to be an induction based while the charging system so you would actually need to buy a separate charging dock which by the way Apple will be selling you for a really nice price of $100 or 70 to 80 pounds in UK so yeah it's not gonna be cheap and by the way the charging speed would actually be slower than on the Samsung Galaxy s8 for example since it's only going to come with key charging 1.2 so yeah and you won't be able to buy third-party charges from Amazon because those won't work because apples are gonna have a chip inside so there's that okay what else well we are getting a 3d front-facing camera and then also a ton of sensors on that sensor bar on the front so an iris scanner an infrared transmitter an infra receiver and all of these sensors would actually be used to recognize her face and they would also be used for face ID okay so what's face ID well as you probably know Apple is removing touch ID from the iPhone 8 completely and it will be replaced by face ID so face ID will be handling all the upload payments well actually that's the per layer and unlocking the iPhone will also be done for face ID Arjun - we're also getting a smart home button because well the home button is also going away so it's going to be replaced by a virtual one which would allow you to use gestures for activating multiple features such as the control center multitasking and going back home but it's still going to come with full haptic feedback support so same as on the iPhone 7 maybe a tiny bit better actually so an improved version of that that haptic feedback only f-18 and apart from this other special features include a small camera that will be able to detect multiple scenes and then adjust its settings according to those scenes so similar to how a DSLR has multiple shooting modes offering that improved water resistance from ip67 5d 68 and much much much more so same as with the camera by the way I've also done a final features video in case you want to know more about all the features that a iPhone is going to come with and then much more detail moving on to the battery any battery improvements well quite a few so the battery life is actually getting some pretty big improvements and why is that well one of the reasons would be a much larger battery so we're actually expecting to see a 2700 M his batteries or something around 2,700 and they'll be a pretty big improvement from the 1950 that we got on the iPhone 7 and 2900 that we got on the iPhone 8 on the iPhone 7 plus sorry and considering the size of the iPhone 8 which is only slightly larger than a 4.7 inches iPhone the increase in battery size is quite significant now this is because of a number of reasons by the way one of them being the L shaped badly so the logic board is actually made out of two stacks two parts stacked on top of one another basically and it's actually linked by a few connectors so because of this there's actually more room inside the iPhone for a larger battery which is what we are getting with the iPhone 8 now on top of all this the Apple a 11 processor is also more power efficient since it's based on a 10-meter process and among with this the OLED display is also more power efficient than an all-city display much more proficient then we also have the promotion technology which might be coming as well so overall battery life should actually be the same at least as on an iPhone plus maybe just maybe a tiny bit better but most likely just the same as on the iPhones one plus which is pretty impressive in such such a small device again when you compare this to get its own plus ok so what about the storage options well most of the leaks and sources have pointed towards a 64 gigabytes and 256 gigabyte storage options now this is definitely going to be the case but we've also seen a couple of reports suggesting a 512 gigabytes as the third and highest and model for the iPhone 8 now I personally don't see the point in having a 512 gigabytes iPhone especially now since pretty much most of the data is stored in the cloud but if you're the kind of person that would use your iPhone 8 for I don't know video production for example so if you go on a long trips with just your iPhone and no laptop no external hard drives to transfer your footage then maybe just maybe the 512 gigabytes iPhone 8 would be the best option not really because you can just take a camera and multiple SD cards just saying but anyway maybe just maybe probably not okay so what about the release date when is the iPhone 8 going to be released well it's going to be announced on temporary 12 which is well yep at the Apple event and speaking of the September 12 Apple event have actually done on in the video on this as well covering everything you can expect from the Apple event so yeah September 12 announcement and then release around September the 22nd and that would be when the pre-orders would actually start so speaking of pre-orders how much is the iPhone 8 I'm going to cost well most reports have stated a price of around nine hundred ninety nine dollars and that would be around nine hundred and seventy pounds in the UK and that would be the price for the baseline sixty four gigabytes iPhone eight now this would actually be a bit more expensive than the 256 gigabytes iPhone 7 plus now I personally do believe prices to be a tiny bit lower so starting at around the same price as a 128 gigabytes iPhones home plus so around eight hundred $69 or eight hundred and twenty pounds in the UK and obviously then the prices would go up by a hundred dollars or 80 pounds depending on the storage options so there you go final these rumours on the iPhone eight so feel free to check out my previous findings in rumours episodes on the iPhone 7s for example which is also going to be announced and released alongside the iPhone 8 in case you're curious about the iPhone 7s and they've also done one on the iPhone
