the perfect car to have a nice drive on this dike Road in a beautiful environment it's now Pina as you have probably seen we borrowed it from bear who have BMW they are real Alpena specialists we've driven the b5 Biturbo there recently which was absolutely amazing and today we are going to enjoy this Alpena b4s it's a convertible and it's oh it's absolutely gorgeous so today I'm going to show you around it and we'll take it for a drive along this beautiful road enjoy the weather and maybe I'll tell you some stuff about this gorgeous scenery but before we begin don't forget to subscribe and hit the notification bell to receive updates when we upload new video oh I'm I don't know if you noticed but I'm very calm myself as well because of this really nice day beautiful environment okay so as you can see it is super blue it is snapper rocks blue which is a Big W color with this silver Alpena pinstripe running across the side we've got an Alpina logo right there sort of an inlay in the lower part of the bumper which is all specific to the Alpena we've got 20-inch forged wheels by Alpena with Michelin Pilot Sport for s tyres Alpena brakes and at the rear we've got a very cool detail I don't know if you can see it on camera but there's an Alpina logo in the wind deflector as well which is awesome at the rear we've got a boot lid spoiler quad exhaust and a couple of logos these exhausts this is actually this exhaust is made by a crap of itch I hope you can see that Alpena logo a crap of H logo sound absolutely incredible and we've got optional Alpena badges in the headrests which is also freakin awesome so check out this engine this is the n55 3 liter turbo engine normally it has one turbo a single turbo but this Alpina has a conversion to a bi turbo as you can see so the the broth is recast to make room for an extra turbo the turbos are actually 10 percent bigger than the stock turbos and that means with a lot more cooling as well which means that it now delivers 440 horsepower and 660 Newton meters which is a lot I mean it's 9 horsepower more than an m4 convertible but it's a hundred and ten Newton meters more so that's pretty damn impressive another cool detail is that this car has the optional Alpina floor mat well boots carpet with this awesome logo with blue and green which looks really cool I mean it's details like this that make these cars so special I think I mean it's it's a small thing and you have to pay for it but I think it's just it makes you feel so much more special because you have all these details in the car that no one knows about but you we've got a Pina on the door sill as well and I'll peanuts badge right there with the number before as Biturbo convertible Alpina logo on the seats as well and on the key as well so it really is something else than a BMW so let's take it for a drive and see what's what let's start with what the difference is between Albina and BMW em I mean they basically do the same they they take a three series or four Series Convertible in this case and they they tweak it they they configure it and they adapt it the way they think it should be for BMW M that means that it's all super tight firm about lap times and super sharp high performance with Alpena it's more about sophistication comfort and speed and even though you know they basically do the same the results couldn't be more different because as I'm driving here now I'm going to switch it to Sport Plus I would have bounced off this dike Road in an m4 convertible because it's just so hard firm and yeah it's just the completely different experience this car has Alpena springs dampers anti-roll bars they have limited the camber as well oh so it's a lot more comfortable it's still ridiculously fast I mean it has a Viterbo inline six with 440 horsepower so it's faster than an m4 4.2 seconds to 100 compared to the 4.4 for an m4 convertible if you get an extra version Wow listen to that exhaust burbling away if you get xDrive ala nabina it does 3.9 so sup for seconds I mean that will put WM w m4 to shame so it's super serious about performance it will pound your organs just like an M car will but it will do so in an elegant way in a very sophisticated way and and that's just something that I absolutely love oh man listen to that sound it does have adaptive dampers so I have it in Sport Plus mode right now which means that they are at its firmest but it's still super comfortable Oh what an excellent sound it's absolutely perfect for for this car I mean it's there you hear it it's a beautiful 6-cylinder sound it's very pure its oh man you hear those turbos whistling away as well so as you probably know Alpena really tries to change the character of the car so they also changed the steering which feels absolutely beautifully judged I have to say it's it's not as heavy as in an m4 in Sport+ it's just right beautiful leather around the steering wheel this is covered in leather as well which is an option so you can really go to town on your car if you order it from Alpena you can basically do anything you want the dash is covered in leather by helping as well so let's talk about that engine because that is something special they could have just gone for an m4 engine the s55 but that's not but that's not the way Alpena does things that will be far too aggressive so they've taken basically a 435i that engine the n55 put it on a turbo on it and and made the character of the engine fit the car perfectly it's absolutely spot-on it's not too aggressive but if you want to this car is freakin Faust and I think that's the essence of Alpena I think that Alpena does thinks to BMWs that fit the BMW is better than sometimes when M does it you know I think an m4 convertible is is ridiculous I think you know it's not a good car in in essence the base of it you know if you think about what do you wanted for lap times why would you have a heavier less stiff convertible that just doesn't make any sense this does it's it's freaking fast but it's comfortable it's cool or man that sound is is absolutely delicious so while we're here as I said we're in the beautiful river lands of the Netherlands so am i right we've got fourth theorem which was built in 1844 I believe and served as a protection from the city of Holcomb which is over there they also dug a moat around it and well it's just beautiful on the wild river over there I hope you guys can see that that's I'll stop for you guys that's castle Luba Stein right there built in 1357 so it's super old built by a knight and he lived there and he also used it as a base for his raids and to collect illegal toll which is pretty awesome so this is the fort as you can see pretty cool right beautiful water here it's absolutely lovely we don't really come in this part of the Netherlands a lot so I always like it when I Drive through here because these little roads are really nice and it's just a lot of fun beautiful right guys it's always fun to show you guys how beautiful the Netherlands is okay so back to the car as I was saying I think that Alpena judges the purpose of the cars sometimes even better than BMW M so with the b5 touring the b5 Biturbo I also think that you should get an Alpina instead of a BMW M car I like the BMW m5 a lot but I like to be 5 Biturbo better so I guess it's just basically about personal preference but if I was in an m4 right now on this road I wouldn't be able to do anything I wouldn't be able to drive quickly because it's just too hard with this it's just the perfect combination of fast car that can handle roads like this I also want to tell you guys about our new words which I think fits really well in this car it's called the Lausanne it's an automatic it's Swiss mate we are super proud of it and we think that you know we have really stepped it up with this one so I hope you guys like it to click in the top right corner if you want some
