As I sat down to read my library haul, I couldn't help but feel excited about the prospect of diving into three new graphic novels that had caught my eye. Beyond the Bookshelf, which is actually not a graphic novel, I realized that it's just another book at the library and I can choose whether or not to read it. I said I'm going to try reading the first couple of chapters but I like it because beyond it's not that's the library it shall go either way.
I realize the cover on its way and it's a book that appeals to me because I'm a sucker for why a contemporary let's be real here last three books I got a graphic novel so ever since I read a nimona by Noelle Stevenson for the booktubeathon a love of graphic novels have sparked in me. I want to read like all the graphic novels that's just a three that kind of appealed to me the most being relished by Lucy Kenneth Lee, I want to say actually one of you guys recommended this to me in my booktubeathon video you said I think you like this author and I can definitely see why this is. I have another one of hers on hold it's checked out right now um but this is like almost like it's a graphic novel also almost like autobiography as well because Lucy Kinsley herself is a daughter of like a foodie and a chef's and this is literally her story about food, he realizes how its progressed of how she's grown up with swimming how a relationship to food is so it's kind of different for most graphic novels like I've never seen graphic novels like written like this before usually literally seen them at box forms but a lot of purse are not like that. It also has recipes in it so either way I'm really looking forward to this one.
Other than these, other one that I had checking out becomes available it's all about her planning a wedding which somebody recommended to me and I was like over that so a wedding photographer so I can't wait to get that one so I'm hoping to do that one soon. So I could read these back-to-back but this seems like right up my alley and she's written a plethora of graphic novels so I'm going to read this one and see how it goes.
This one summer by Julian Tuck - mucky and Mariko Tamaki for a lot about this is about a girl named Rose and her parents always go to this summer place for summer to summer getaway. This summer is different for her, this summer is very different from her previous summers, her parents are fighting things are not going well, and she and her best friend Wendy have gotten caught up in a like tragedy in the making in this small town that they go to.
I've heard really really amazing things about this all I know it's also kind of like not in color - it's got like kind of bluish pages but either way I've heard amazing things about this one so I'm excited to read this one. But don't have to read the soon because all this is officially the last month of summer, so I need to get on this.Laughs behemoths, I got I'm not expected to be this huge hits blanket by Thompson. I've heard also a lot about blankets. Have you ever hear anybody like recommend wrapping novels? I always hear people talk about pieces.
I had to get them I do not expect you to a degree method like this thing is like it is nowhere 500 pages, it's also not in color at all. I should just let you know in case you're interested in it and also actually I know there's a lot of graphic adult things in here I listened to it the other day and I was like whoa so just so you know there's a lot of sexual things in this. So you're for watch this one is very big description. It takes place like I think in the winter which I don't know I'm talking about in summer in Wisconsin is about two brothers that are kind of growing up finding the relationship finding their religion and things of that nature but either way I've heard nothing but good things about this book so I kind of to read these three graphic novels.
I'm hoping to get probably to these two I think this one I might have to say for literally whatever it's about winter, the way that was my library haul.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enlove everyone stationed here to do a haul video but not in typical Hall today doing a library hall let's leave these past couple months being July August I have not bought a single book which is amazing I will pat myself on the back for that because it's been very very tough but you know sometimes when life is hard when funds are hard the library is always there so I recently join a new library that is not currently in my city I joined it to an adjoining sitting next to me and their library is so much better well my city library is decent you know I have the OP I have the opportunity to you know check out books and request books from other libraries within my city to be sent to the library that's closest to nature books there's not an abundance of books like they are they're not really good under releases or not really good with Y at all like their bio section is very very slim so that's why a lot of times I buy books because my library more often than not will not have the book see that next to me that kind of is close to me is a much bigger city and I paid a little bit of a fee a very very minuscule a very very miniscule fee to actually you know get a library card and pay for a library card there that way I can you know request books from other libraries in that city and if you sent to the library that's close to me it was my plan involved but anyway their book selection is so much more vast like there has not been a book I looked up yet that that has not been available not unless it like just came out last week or something by their life their books are just amazing so all these books come from the library and these are books I'm all interested in there's about seven or eight I'm going to show you now this doesn't necessarily mean that I'm going to read all of these these are books that I'm genuinely interested in that's why I check them out so my hope is to read at least two or three of them sometimes you know how goes a library like sometimes you read all of them sometimes you read notice' always shouting my love for the library you know off the rooftops I think they're amazing I think they're very quite essential honestly and I think a lot of people don't even use them a lot of people take them for granted I highly recommend you use your library especially you know if you're a booktuber in your life I don't know that in my own eyes I'm there with you right now the library is a great resource you know they have so much more than books too they have DVDs they have different classes I think my son's library wants to offer him to peruse around so just take advantage of your library there's a lot of people that work hard at library you know sometimes I don't think libraries gets funded as they need to so I just saying take your libraries like use your libraries because they are awesome so with us this puts it super long intro I'm sorry let's get on to show you what books I checked out from the library or you know what's in my libraries I used to college because you see them all the time of my channel the first book I checked out is summer unscripted by Jen Kwan I check this one out solely for the reason because I rent her other book shuffle repeat this month and I loved it so this is our newest release that just came out in June I was a librarian is that - actually there you have it obviously my city's library would not have I'm not playing my city's library issues I live in a small city ok this is all about a girl named rate rainy I want to say she's not a passion like a lot of her friends do like her a lot of her friends know what they're going to do in college what they want to be in life they have a passion the thing that drives them she does not she kind of just afloat subject to subject kind of you know things that interest her and then she hears a guy speak at her graduation ceremony named Tucker and she decides a Tucker it's going to be her passion and so she decides to kind of a role in his classes or something of that nature and then she meets another guy was in that so she's like oh I'm kind of torn so it's got that love triangle kind of vibe to it I don't know if this is actually about it but I mean it clearly shows let's turn it upside-down a love triangle going on sometimes I don't like my triangle sometimes I do either way I really want to read this one because I like shuffle repeat so much so I'm hoping to read this you know I will read this I'm probably going to start this as soon as I finish the book I'm currently reading you're just rooting for your third book the next two books the next two books I checked out are actually from the same author because I'm really getting into doing my author Pacific videos I've done a few of them I've done tiffy Kinsella I've done Sarah Dessen I've just recently done Casey West I want to do more of them but sometimes I have learned that I've read the majority of the author's books but not at all I just got two books from Frederick Backman I hope we pronounced that right he's a Swedish author I read his book a man called uma a few years ago I loved it I just recently read Burt Rose here I like that one I won't say it loved it as much as a man called uma but there are three books of his that I still have yet to read so I checked out two of them from the library because I only one of them the first one is a very very short and very very doable and that is and every morning and every morning the way home gets longer and longer it's like a little almost a novella honestly it's only it's only 76 pages this one it's going to take me a minute to read not because who the length because it's only 76 pages because of the content it's about grandpa and Noah and they're sitting on a bench quote essentially this takes place during this whole you know them sitting on the bench I think it's each morning and you know Rand Paul is telling know about his life and his love for his grandma that he's lost and you can see that he's kind of losing his memory so this book is all about kind of watching him kind of slowly fade with the memory that he has been trying to hold on to them it's also you know we can't like really hashing into the relationship with his friends on Noah and the reason I had told for me is because I have a son named Noah and he has two grandpas in his life my dad of course but he's not super close to my dad because we have kind of rocky relationship but he's he's pretty close to my on my husband's dad and he's quite older so it just makes me think of you know my father-in-law and my son and it just makes me want to cry honestly I don't know it's disappointing to know what and my son's name's Noah either way I'm sure I'm going to love this book and it's going to make me cry I'm already almost crying just thinking about reading it so yeah I'm glad it's only 76 pages because if it's any longer it's going to be soft s 2017 up in here the other one I checked out for Frederick Bachman is bear town and this one is the newest release this will came out in April this is all about a place called bear town and it's very desolate it's kind of like in the middle of the woods and the woods are kind of slowly encroaching on this town and the only thing that this town has going for them is this huge ice rink in the middle of it and they have this junior hockey team that's doing really really good and they're going to make the Nationals and it's kind of all about that I think a lot of who will receive this book as a hockey book probably not a lot of a lot of his books kind of have that kind of have a sports thing in it Brett Murray was here had kind of a little emphases on soccer but it wasn't all about that this is mainly I think going to be about the town and the people that reside in it and I do know that there are some triggering bangs in here such as rape I believe so I don't that swelling you I've just heard it myself so I just want to say put that out there before you decide to check it out I do know cuz I listen to the sample of this audio book that the first page said late one evening toward the end of March a teenager picked up a double-barrel shotgun walked into the forest put the gun to someone else's forehead and pull the trigger this is the story of how we got there so this seems like it's going to be a very intense novel much more intense than those other two books that I've read Frederic Bachman kind of has like a lighter like he writes about heavy things but I got to put this like a lighter spent on them right this one what I've heard a lot of people say is it's a very very dark intense book so I'm interested to read it I've heard amazing things about it and I really do enjoy his book so I need to read these two as well as my grandmother asked you to tell me I'm sorry and then okay film my office specific weird with Bachman and that's what I got is a white book and it is I see London I see France by Sarah Mills is no good sorry this was also came out recently in July mister peres Culebra has these and this really wasn't on my radar and probably it's up in the air if I'm going to read it or not honestly but is a contemporary book and I'm a sucker for those so you know libraries are also great as a try it before you buy it so let's say I did want to buy this and I bought it I did enjoy it in the library to read like 50 pages amounted to it see that's like a right on back library for that matter sense book it's literally the title it's about a girl named Sydney who's going on a trip all across Europe she's travelling for four and a half weeks to their best friend and then her ex-boyfriend shows her cheating ex-boyfriend shows up at the flight to London and she ends up songs for the ex-boyfriends huge best friend so that's what this books all about I've heard me do things above honestly I don't know like I said I'm going to try reading the first couple of chapters but I like it because beyond it's not that's the library it shall go either way I realize the cover on its way and it's a book that appeals to me because I'm a sucker for why a contemporary let's be real here
