New Features and Software Run Through on the iPad 2

Hey guys, how's it going? It's Brandon here from BBZod Touchup, and today I'll be giving you a little software run through and some of the new things on the iPad 2. So, uh, the first thing you'll notice is on your homepage, you have FaceTime camera and photo booth. These are three things that we have not seen on the previous version of the iPad and, uh, let's just go ahead and get into the first thing which is FaceTime.

FaceTime is basically where you just can video call with other people with iPads or iPhones or iPod Touch 4GS as well, but you have to have your Apple account linked up and you can add contacts and things like that. I don't use it, but some people do, and you know if you have somebody like in the Navy or something that'd be cool to video chat from a far way away if you know what I mean. So, um, that's something new.

The next thing is the camera, which something you're also familiar with from the iPhone or the iPod touch but this again is something new for the iPad and it's just camera, not really going to do much on its own. But, uh, you can switch it around front and back right there, you can see my camera in my hand right there, and you have the autofocus and everything like that as well with the iPad. And, um, the last thing on the front page is photo booth which is something that I haven't seen on anything with a camera yet, but that comes stock on it.

So, here's just a little um effect that I was running at first, but if you click down here in the bottom left, you'll see you can choose from all these effects. Just like on the uh computer there's no more, just just these these ones right here. Just like on your computer, your Mac if you have a Mac, you have a photo booth app and you can basically just get a bunch of different um know effects on your picture, something just cool to play around with. You could switch it around down here in the bottom right, you could switch it around from front to back camera, uh with ease.

So, as you see, it's nothing so it's going to turn white because it's X-ray and you snap a picture down here, snap that picture there, you go then it shows it right here at the bottom. You can go to it there, you can obviously send it places email it whatnot just your uh basic stuff and then I'm just going to delete that just because I don't have a use for. And, um, that's pretty much all the new things on the iPad 2.

The Safari web browsing is terrific, I really like the web browsing, I'm uploading a video right now so that's why it was uh going pretty slow you see some of the uh marks right there but um it it is really fun browsing around on. I was already browsing the web on it and it is uh super fast um really liking it so far. You're probably saying oh it's super fast cuz you just got it it's brand new that's true but it's also going to be very fast you know once I start putting stuff on as you see I already have a couple of apps on there, I will be reviewing those pretty soon can't really see them but those are uh notability and Thief looping uh those are two apps I'm going to be reviewing pretty soon here probably after my iPad 2 review so.
