The Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 Edition Unboxing and First Look
As we take a closer look at this device, we can see that it has a very premium feel to it. The device feels really comfortable in the hand, with a glossy black finish that is both durable and attractive. The back of the phone curves out towards the edges, providing a sleek and modern design that is sure to turn heads.
The front of the phone features a 5.7-inch screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, making it perfect for watching videos, browsing the web, and enjoying your favorite games. The screen itself appears to be touch capacitive, allowing you to interact with the device in a intuitive way. Along the top of the phone, we can see the always-on display that is designed to show vital information such as time, date, and notifications.
On the left side of the phone, there are two volume buttons that allow you to adjust the volume levels easily. The right side of the phone features a power button, along with a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port. This means that you can charge your device quickly and easily using the USB Type-C cable.
The back of the phone is where things get really interesting. On the top left corner, we can see a 16-megapixel camera lens that is accompanied by an LED flash. The camera appears to be fingerprint-friendly, but it's also extremely smudgy - making fingerprints on this device a bit of a problem. However, for most people, the benefits of using a phone with a high-quality camera will far outweigh any minor issues with smudges.
One of the standout features of this device is its IP68 water protection. This means that it can withstand being submerged in water up to 1.5 meters deep without sustaining any damage. This makes it an excellent choice for anyone who enjoys spending time outdoors or engaging in activities that might expose your phone to water.
Inside the box, we found a SIM card tray and a microSD card slot. The SIM card tray allows you to easily insert your SIM card, while the microSD card slot allows you to expand your storage capacity up to 256GB. This means that you can store all of your favorite apps, photos, and videos on this device without running out of space.
The phone itself is powered by an Exynos 7880 octacore processor, which has a 1.9 GHz CPU. It also comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. While the amount of storage may seem a bit limited, the microSD card slot provides plenty of flexibility for expanding your storage capacity.
The device runs on Android 6.0.1, which is still a relatively new version at this point in time. It's clear that Samsung has done its best to optimize this software for performance and battery life, but it may be some time before we see an update to the latest version of Android.
One final feature worth mentioning is the adaptive fast charging capabilities. This means that you can quickly charge your device on the go, without having to worry about running out of juice during a long day out.
In terms of connectivity, this phone supports LTE and B- LTE bands. While it's clear that Samsung has done its best to cater to users in different regions around the world, we can't help but feel that more advanced features such as 4G or even 5G support would have been a nice touch.
As we move on to the camera capabilities of this device, we're pleased to see that it has a bunch of modes available. These include panoramic, hyperlapse, HDR night shot, and food shot - all of which offer unique features for capturing high-quality photos. The phone also supports beauty filters and other additional features.
In terms of video recording, the phone only captures 1920 x 1080p video at this point in time, which may be a disappointment for some users who were expecting 4K capabilities.
The overall UI is responsive and fast, with an intuitive interface that makes it easy to navigate through menus and access features. The device also comes pre-loaded with Samsung's Brieuff feature, which provides news updates and other information.
Finally, we'd like to mention the price point of this phone - 34,000 INR being the sticker price. While it may seem a bit steep for some users, the benefits provided by this device make it well worth considering for those who want a premium Android experience without breaking the bank.
As with any review, we'll be doing a full in-depth analysis of this device to determine whether or not it's worth the investment for the 34,000 INR price tag.
