The Samsung Z Fold 4 has been released, and it's packed with exciting features. The device boasts a stunning 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED display, which is larger than the one on the previous model. The camera array has also seen an upgrade, with the new wide-angle lens featuring AI processing to minimize shake and keep more things in focus. This is a significant improvement over the previous Z Flip 3, where the image sensor was left unchanged.
The device comes in a variety of configurations, including up to 512GB of storage. Samsung has also introduced new colorways, including Bora Purple, Graphite Pink Gold, and Blue. Additionally, there are bespoke editions available with exclusive color options for users who want to personalize their device. However, if you already own a Z Flip 3, this year's model may not warrant an upgrade, given the relatively minor updates.
Accessories have also been updated to complement the new devices. Samsung has released the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, which maintain the overall look and feel of the previous generation but with a slight reduction in size. The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro achieved the same playback time as the previous buds pro, with five hours and up to 18 hours with the charging case. The new earbuds boast 24-bit hi-fi audio, which Samsung claims is 256 times richer than standard sound, with an extra three decibels of noise reduction.
The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are available in White, Graphite, and the signature Samsung Bora Purple, starting at $229.99 USD. They are slated for release on August 26th.
Moving on to the watch segment, Samsung has released the Watch 5 series, which marks a significant shift towards the "Pro" moniker. The Watch 5 Pro has ditched the mechanical scrolling bezel in favor of a simple touch-sensitive one. However, don't worry – the classic model will still be available for legacy lovers.
The Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro have undergone some significant changes, despite their similar looks. The internals have seen substantial upgrades, including Wear OS powered by Samsung and pre-installed with eight new watch faces as well as 10 optimized favorites. The devices also support voice navigation through Google Maps, but users should be careful not to navigate themselves into trouble.
The Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro are both ATMs 5 and IP68 rated for the first time ever, providing improved durability against water and dust. Samsung has also changed the undercarriage shape to fit more wrists while maintaining accurate bioactive sensor readings. The devices now include a body temperature measurement feature, blood oxygen levels, sleep stages with a sleep coaching plan – a nice touch that sets them apart.
The Watch 5 comes in both 40mm and 44mm sizes, featuring larger batteries compared to last year's model, which should provide up to 50 hours of battery life on a single charge. The Watch 5 Pro takes it up a notch with the largest battery Samsung has ever fit inside a smartwatch – a 590 milliamp hour cell.
The Watch 5 starts at $279.99 USD for the Bluetooth version and finishes up at $329 USD for the LTE version. The Watch 5 Pro, on the other hand, begins at $499.99 USD for the Bluetooth version and only slightly increases to $499.99 USD for the LTE version.

foldable display which samsung claims is also 45 stronger than the flip 3. the big marketing push for the z flip 4 was the fact that they've reduced the hinge size and on top of that they've made the dimensions a few millimeters smaller in the closed clam shell mode honestly holding the flip myself i noticed a slight size difference but not really anything that would affect the overall size and functionality of the phone it's a bit more rounded off and they shaved off a tiny bit of metal but it doesn't really feel much different than the last flip the z flip 4 is still rocking the same 6.7 inch amoled 120 hertz display as the z-flip 3 of the same 1.9 inch outer screen as well but has some improved internals for example the qualcomm snapdragon 8 plus gen 1 is also going to be powering the z flip 4 replacing the old snapdragon triple 8 which is found in the z-flip 3. the phone also features a slightly larger 3 700 milliamp hour battery also features 25 watt wired charging which is a nice bump in charging speed compared to the z-flip 3 which was charging at 15 watt while they've updated the cameras on the z fold 4 were left a little bit confused by the z flip 4 as the decision to
