iOS 13.1 Beta 2! 25 New Features & Changes

The Name of the Game is Just Bug Fixes 13.1: A Closer Look at the Latest Update

The latest update to iOS, version 13.1, has been met with a mix of excitement and skepticism from users. The update promises a slew of new features and improvements, but one thing that's clear is that the majority of this update contains bug fixes. In this article, we'll take a closer look at the changes made in this latest update.

The Control Center: A New Look

One of the first things you notice when opening the Control Center is the new design. The Voice Memos quick action platter has been updated with some new icons, and the 3D Touch feature has undergone a significant change. In most cases, the platter now appears below the app, regardless of its position on the screen. This change may take some getting used to, but it's clear that Apple is trying to make the Control Center more intuitive.

Another noticeable change is the new border around apps when 3D Touching them. The border is slightly ugly and doesn't quite fit in with the rest of the design. It's unclear whether this is a bug or an intentional design choice, but it's certainly something that catches your eye.

In the Settings section, the quick action shortcuts have been updated, with the Bluetooth icon now being slightly smaller than before. The other icons on the screen have also been repositioned to make room for these changes.

The Share Sheet: Finally Working Again

One of the biggest takeaways from this update is that the share sheet is finally working again. However, it's still a bit buggy and may not always appear in the same place as before. The Airdrop menu has also been updated, with a new animation and some changes to its layout.

Other Changes and Fixes

There are several other changes and fixes that have been made in this update, including:

* The wallpaper adjustment bug has been fixed, allowing users to adjust their wallpapers once again.

* The triple swipe up feature in the app switcher now works as expected, allowing users to easily access multiple apps at once.

* The Google Hangouts crash has been fixed, and all activity can be resumed seamlessly.

* For those who had broken high message games, those features are now working again.

Geekbench Scores: A Performance Boost

In terms of performance, the Geekbench scores have been updated. The multi-core score has dropped by approximately 150 points, but overall performance is better thanks to all the bug fixes.

Conclusion

Overall, it's clear that this update is focused on fixing bugs and making some minor design changes. While there are some new features and improvements, they're not as prominent as one might expect from a major update like this. Still, with all those bugs fixed, users can finally enjoy a more stable and reliable experience. Stay tuned for the final release, which we expect to be around the 16th or 17th of October, and see you on the next one!
