A Day of Frustrating Car Issues

I was supposed to have a great day filming with my car tour group, but things didn't quite go as planned. We left the FF behind when we took all the other cars off on this tour because that rear left tire had a puncture which hadn't gone down too much more well it's probably lost about one bar so it's probably down to one bar but that wouldn't have been safe to drive on the tour yesterday.

The reason this video fell flat yesterday was because this happened yes genuinely in the same 36 hour period 48 hour period or so both of my cars got flat tires um fail right absolute fail. This one is another slow puncture we managed to inflate it cuz there was a compressor in the Porsche um we managed to inflate it a couple of times to get the car home so re-inflating driving re-inflating driving uh but this was quite a stressful evening as you can probably imagine.

our way from here near Monaco over to Marseilles with my three cars Cayman GT4 675 LT and the FF I've got some friends who have come down to drive them so it' be the first time we take all three cars together along with seen through glass in the ftype and supercars of London in the Gallard and also joined by its white noise in the Carrera RS you might remember Elizabeth from its White Noise with whom I did Gumball 3000 earlier this year in the 918 spider across America so it's awesome to have them down here especially with a car as cool as the Carrera RS which is just fantastic however like I was saying there has been a problem um we discovered over the weekend that the FF unfortunately picked up a puncture this rear left tire has a cut on the inside sidewall and that is a non-reparable puncture and and it needs a replacing um however the problem with that is in Monaco where you would think Ferraris are pretty much the norm and therefore tires would be quite easy to come by we have totally failed to find any anywhere and I've been up for about 5 hours already today running around trying to find a tire well obviously actually a pair of tires cuz you have to change them at the same time for all the traction and stability and the like um and I've got absolutely nowhere and have no new tires for that car so that's now going to have to stay here the problem with that is this was the car that had the extra seats and all the luggage space um so now we've got basically all the people and all the spots in every other car completely full um and we can't really go anywhere for the night so we've shuffled plans we're going to set off with the RS the GT4 the LT the ftyr and the guyardo and we're going to go for a little road route in the sort of local Hills area for the next four or five hours and basically have as much fun as we can have and I think we're not going to struggle there um it's just frustrating that the FF won't be able to join us until the new tires I've now ordered arrive in a couple of days time but I think that's enough talking before we get on the way this is still going to be absolutely awesome so we will set off in a couple of minutes with all the cars and get on the road all first checkpoint reached cars all just parking up ling up nicely we're going to go fill up the Porsche at the station just up there and grab a bikes to eat while we're up here we've had lunch we're going to set off I can't get in yet just going to wait a moment but for the second part today I'm going to be driving in the GT4 put Jason at the wheel of the LT everybody's kind of doing a lot of car swapping today right we can jump in now I can open the front good for luggage right let's get almost as soon as we left we found a really cool photo spot so we actually swwa around and I'm back in the LT although I think I might get back in the GT again afterwards um being super conservative as well because fuel in this car is basically out and we're totally in the mountains so fingers crossed we actually find something um but I'll be driving the LT while the guys take some photos um and then we'll see what happens w so this is a little bit different um we were coming down the road and this is why you have to be very careful we officially become the new sheep dog because as per that message um we have found a herd of sheep and I think they're waving us forward but I'm slightly sketched out go trying to drive through this um let's see what happens here the has become the new sheep dog hope someone out of the window taking some photos of us plowing through the Sheep this is absolutely hilarious he yeah M hey oh and we're away that was hilarious I just hope you guys behind to some photos of that because um that was ridiculous I've been a little bit rubbish with filming on today's adventure and as you can see it's now nearing the end of the day and most of the reason for that is because we've just spent the last forever looking for petrol um for all of the cars basically and with mileage running seriously low we've basically been driving different cars to different places to find petrol stations that are open and have the right quality of fuel 98 ROM that you need for cars like these um and aside from that I've also been driving so I haven't really been able to film very much and it's all been all over the shop with different people jumping into different cars um so for me that's basically meant it's been very very hard to make any decent video today but we've been having a lot of fun and I think one of the surprise packages is well I know how good it is cuz I've been driving it the last few days is Mr GT4 which is so so quick and I'm pretty sure the tires um the Pilot Sport cup 2os play a big part of that and I I think I've mentioned it before but on the McLaren I actually speced um when I ordered the car cuz I thought I was going to keep it in England and in England right now the weather is rubbish so I ordered it with pz standard pz there are three different tires you can have on this car the pz the corses and the trao RS um trao R is the car is the tire that hits crazy crazy lap times and stuff in 675 LT and the standard tire and the one I definitely should have got cuz when driving roads like this they're just too squirmy on the normal P Zeros um the car is light fast in a straight line but traction comes on all the time and around the corners it just doesn't have the reassurance um that you would want some very noisy tractor is coming past thank you that's really really loud um yeah so in a way I'm wishing I had the tra Wass and I might look into a way to do that although now I've got to buy a couple of FF tires I don't know if I can bother with changing tires on two cars um probably wait until I get the car back to England at some point in the future which might not actually be until even early next year um might keep it down in South France cuz the weather here is so much better so I don't really know what I'm going to do um I'm going to end up with way more tires than I want um but it's been quite a good day not going to complain we've had fun we've driven some amazing roads and we've still got more to come um and I'm very very pleased with both of the two cars we have been able to bring I just wish the um FF was able to drive with us as well today uh which would have been infinitely cooler um to have all three driving together there's like a missing spot right in the middle for it um but we'll get back get that sorted later in the week it will all end well in the end for now everyone else has basically just gone into this shop to buy ourselves some dinner to cook when we get home because the day is going past really quick quickly um but yeah I'm doing my thing of rambling way too much again so I'll wrap that one up um and we'll get back on the road magically we're back at the house and it's daylight again and there's a big reason for this yesterday's video literally I don't I don't even have words just frustrated with this so I'm going to go and try get this fixed up not having much luck today um we're back on the compressor filling this back up cuz I've had to order new tires so the Ferrari ones will come in a few days and the Porsche will come after that because it's basically new only 1,000 miles we're just going to change to one which it should be fine cuz normally you have more wear on the left side than the right anyway just because of roundabouts and things driving in England I'm going to pump this up take it back to the house put it away the fingers crossed I'm going to be able to get a replace the fire on pretty quickly because at the moment I've only my only working car is the matara oh man this is really frustrating but this hopefully it's going to hold some there the one thing I'm worried about is whether it will hold enough there even if I pull it back up to get me down here to change for both the Ferrari and this I'm in a couple of days time but I'm just going to have to Hope on that one my eyes on it pumping up we wait not ideal so as you noticed it quickly became night time again and that was one insane sounding Mercedes S63 but all the cars I sat here GT 4's tire is completely black back down to Flat the ff's tire is still actually holding up surprisingly good which must be down to that glue stuff um that we've gotten it um the FF tires arrive tomorrow the GT4 tires arrive in a few days um the is just fine sitting pretty at the end there right now in a puddle because it has been rather wet here today um and tomorrow is forecast to be even wetter so we're not up to anything desperately exciting um just chilling before I am flying to Germany in a day or two wait the day after this video goes out so that's not very long um but yeah yesterday was awesome the ARs are amazing apart from the puncture I'm going to wrap this one up now it's been another one of those days well frustrating days
