FALL DECORATE WITH ME _ LIVING ROOM _BRAND NEW THEME THIS YEAR_ SPOOKY FALL

**Fall Decor Inspiration: A Cozy Autumnal Retreat**

As I embarked on my fall decorating journey, I knew exactly what I was looking for - a cozy and inviting atmosphere that would perfectly capture the essence of autumn. My goal was to create a warm and welcoming space that would become the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

To start, I decided to incorporate a navy blanket as the centerpiece of my living room decor. Not only did it add a pop of color to the space, but its full queen size ensured that it would be a plush and comfortable addition to our chilly fall evenings spent snuggled up by the fire. The blanket's navy hue perfectly complemented the rich tones of the plaid throw pillows that I had carefully chosen to add an extra layer of visual interest to the room.

Next, I turned my attention to the wall decor, where I decided to hang a beautiful piece featuring crows perched amongst autumnal leaves. The combination of these two elements was a stroke of genius on my part, as it seamlessly blended natural and urban themes to create a truly unique and captivating visual statement. The black crows added a touch of sophistication and elegance to the room, while their presence also served as a poignant reminder of the passing of time - a fitting theme for the autumn season.

But what really made this space come together was the addition of seasonal elements such as pumpkins and twinkle lights. I opted for a simple yet effective approach, using a single pumpkin as the focal point in our cozy living room nook. The warm glow of the pumpkins perfectly illuminated the area, creating a sense of warmth and welcome that was simply irresistible. And let's not forget the showstopper - a beautiful basket filled with an assortment of autumnal treasures that added a touch of whimsy and magic to the space.

One of my favorite aspects of this decorating project was the way it allowed me to experiment with different styles and themes. As someone who tends to favor lighter, more neutral color palettes, I knew that introducing pops of orange and other warm autumnal hues would be a bold move - but one that ultimately paid off in spades. The result was a space that felt fresh, exciting, and utterly autumnal.

For me, the true beauty of fall decorating lies not just in its visual appeal, but also in the way it allows us to connect with nature and tap into our own sense of wonder and curiosity. As I look around my living room now, I am struck by the way that each element seems to come together in a harmonious celebration of the season's many charms - from the soft glow of the pumpkins to the rich tones of the plaid throw pillows. It is a truly magical space, one that feels like a warm hug on a chilly autumn evening.

**The Story Behind My Fall Decor**

As I sat down to record this episode, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. For me, decorating for fall is always a fun and rewarding experience - a chance to let my creativity run wild and bring a little bit of magic into our home. Over the years, I've developed a number of signature styles and themes that have become hallmarks of my approach to seasonal decor.

One year, I decided to take a bold new direction with my fall decorating - incorporating rich, jewel-toned hues like emerald green and sapphire blue into my color palette. The result was a space that felt fresh, exciting, and utterly unique - but also one that left me feeling a little uncertain about how to style it all.

**A Tour of My Autumnal Living Room**

Now that the decorating is complete, I'm thrilled to take you on a tour of my living room - a space that feels like the perfect retreat from the stresses of everyday life. As we make our way through the room, be sure to check out some of the many seasonal elements that have been carefully curated to bring the outdoors in.

From the beautiful crows perched amongst autumnal leaves on the wall to the cozy plaid throw pillows scattered throughout the space, every element has been chosen with care and attention to detail. And at the center of it all is my trusty navy blanket - a plush and comfortable addition that adds a touch of warmth and coziness to our chilly fall evenings.

**The Final Touches**

As I step back to admire my handiwork, I'm struck by the way that each element seems to come together in perfect harmony. From the soft glow of the pumpkins to the rich tones of the plaid throw pillows, every detail has been carefully considered to create a space that feels truly special.

One final touch that adds a touch of whimsy and magic to the space is the twinkle lights - a beautiful and affordable way to add some extra sparkle and shine to our autumnal decor. And as I look around my living room now, I know that this decorating project has been one for the books - a true celebration of the season's many charms and a reminder that sometimes, the simplest elements can be the most magical of all.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi guys today's video i'm going to be focused on decorating my living room for fall this year so if you're new i typically do dollar tree hauls but then the days that i don't post dollar tree hauls on this channel i like to do like decorating hauls and decorating so for fall i've already decorated my entryway a guest bathroom my master bedroom and my media room so i'll link those spaces down below if you want to see them individually once i get all the other spaces decorated like today's video and the kitchen etc there will then be a full fall tour of the house i will link my fall playlist down below in case you want to see what was going on in this house last year so this is my second year decorating here and i do have a very different style plan for the living room this year last year it was very neutral creams greens some sunflowers that was about it this year though i am gonna implement a lot of color into the living room we're gonna have pumpkins we're gonna plaid so i'm very excited plus i have a brand new piece of furniture that came in from amazon it's just for my everyday decor but i'm gonna obviously decorate and add a little bit of fall touches to it so let's go ahead and get started i want to just back up and show you guys the space in which we are working today if you're new so we're going to be decorating this console table here and the fireplace end tables we're going to do some new pillows over here and some decorating here as well i popped in halloweentown just to make it a little bit more fun so that's a tip if you start decorating a space definitely listen to like movies and music that just kind of like gets you going for the season it's always so much more fun and this is the piece that i got from amazon i really love it it's like a vintage piece i think it's actually currently out of stock i mentioned it uh where did i mention it i think in a fall haul and i don't know if you guys sold it out or like what happened but hopefully it comes back in stock and it's so cute has these uh pull out drawers and then this opens as well so i thought it would be fun to like stack some books and some blankets in here and then i bought some decor pieces for the top as well so originally i was gonna put this ladder over there which i might still do but what i did was i just kind of moved it caddy cornered and then put that in its space because the ladder was right here by itself so anyways you know just a work in progress but i wanted you guys to kind of see what we're working with today for me i decorate with main focal pieces in mind first meaning what's the biggest um space that's going to draw the most attention i actually feel like i have two so it's going to be the fireplace so i'm going to do that first and then the second space is going to be the pillows once i get those two done then i can do like these smaller details and i will base the smaller details off of my focal pieces so i wanted to walk you guys through how i take uh my original pieces and transition transition them for holidays and seasons so like this one for example is like a faux window pane i got this from a lady who like made it off of facebook so this is exactly how she made it with this wreath and then you can see the ribbon is actually screwed in at the top so what i do is i just simply unscrew it and remove this wreath and then i will add a command hook to the glass part and then i will add whatever wreath i'm doing so i've done this for christmas and for fall etc so i'm going to go ahead and do that now i ended up having to put it in the center i forget how i actually did it for christmas last year i think i tied a piece of like twine and then pulled the twine towards the back or i think i actually added it to i left the nail and then i i roped the twine around the nail at the top i think that's how i did it so we'll see if this works because it's not very wide right here to hold this command hook but the wreath isn't very heavy so we're gonna go ahead and try it i'm gonna go ahead and add the wreath now before i lift it back up um on the fireplace so i'm just gonna find the best position here's the wreath i probably should have done the twine and roped it at the top of the screw like i mentioned because you can see the command hook there but if it bothers me i'll fix it later it probably will but let's go ahead and move on now i'm going to add garland to the ledge so all right so i really like where this is going but it needs a little bit more and i'm going to add these black crows so these are going to be like my main piece that's really going to kind of take this from just like cutesy fall to maybe a little bit more on the spooky fall side and that's really kind of where i was going i wanted it to not be like dark fall but just late afternoon fall i don't really know okay but we've got these gorgeous crows so i'm just going to place one maybe right over here all right so here's the fireplace for now this is really again my main focal point so i'm going to revisit this section later i want to go ahead and move on to what i think is my next focal point and that is going to be the couch so i want to go ahead and get the pillows on here and it will really help for me to see you know how i'm doing with all of the orange going on so we're gonna get these off and get this turned into fall so i wasn't actually planning on keeping the navy pillows but i'm really liking where this is going for two reasons one is a plaid that i'm going to use for that console table and you'll see why and the other one is because it really does tie in this chair right here so once i do like a nice big overshot i think the navy will be a really great addition plus it does have that darker color you know because i'm going for that spookier fall look all right so i wanted to show you guys that i have these pillow covers right here they came in a set of four from amazon i'll link them down below uh those pillows i think were from tj maxx and so were the plaid pillows i believe for home goods i don't remember it's in a haul video if you if you need to know exactly where so what i've done is i just put the little orange or the pumpkin one in the center just to kind of feel out if i want a pumpkin one or if i want one with like the word in the center but i'm really liking the pumpkin one so that's the one i'm going to use so i have a pillow for that all right so here is the chair i decided to go with the leaf pillow just to bring in some orange to this side and then over here this is what i'm going to go with for the pillows on the main couch i removed the green blanket so one of the things that i don't have right this second while i'm filming is some more blankets that i want to use for the couch you'll see some other blankets but they're for different locations so i might end up popping over like tj maxx or something and maybe grabbing like a navy blanket or another fall blanket but honestly just the way that it is without a blanket here i think works because there's already a lot of colors and patterns and prints going on so i think it does a really great job of looking like fall so we're going to move on from this section for now and the end tables will be last so now what i want to do is i want to work on this piece right here last year what i did was i actually kept these here but i switched out my tulips for some green sunflowers i did the the white and the green pumpkin deal so but for this year i'm actually gonna remove uh these all together i'm just gonna store them away and then we're gonna do a garland effect so i just nestled that in there i didn't remove the existing green i really like how it looks and then i did the same thing to the other one as well and then i have another one of these that matches the one that we put up on the fireplace mantle so and that's another thing that i like to do with decorating i want to make sure that it's cohesive and that i do tend to want to be matchy matchy so yeah already i'm not sure that these two mix very well i know that you can't see um from back there but um i'm not sure that this is where i want to go so i'm going to go ahead and try something else so i might add a little bit more i have this arrangement right here also from hobby lobby and so i'm thinking about just like picking you know them off one by one because i'm also going to use this in my kitchen decor so that will be another upcoming video so i'm just thinking about like kind of maybe adding it to the ends here and maybe even throughout so i've been trying to tuck them into like the bare spots and also at the end because you can see there's like that loop right there so it's not that pretty so i'm just using these to like cover those up as well and so all i'm doing is just kind of like tucking them in where i can so now what i'm going to do is i want to add crows to this part as well as it turns out i really love the smaller crows on here i think they're so cute and i added all of them so in case you're interested i'll also link them down below because they're from amazon and yeah let me just back up so you can see what the contrast of the birds with the garland look like now let's go ahead and move on and decorate this piece right here so so as you can see i decorated the top i wanted some just everyday pieces this is obviously not fall related but it should be here you know the majority of the year because this is a brand new piece and so i didn't get it specifically for fall then i found this cute little typewriter this is from amazon so i'll link it down below and then these little flowers are actually from dollar tree but they match the ones exactly that are on the wreath up there so i like how it all kind of ties in together and it brings a little bit of autumn to the top and then in this little slot here i added some books facing out and then i was specific in picking the ones that had like fall colors so some like black trim white and then some orange there and i think that one back there is kind of like yellow i know it's kind of hard to see because of the glass so i'm just going to go ahead and open it and this fall blanket is also from amazon i kept it folded up because when it came to me you can kind of see the indent where they had like the ribbon tied around it so all i did was remove the ribbon but i kept it intact so like even the cardboard you know that they keep and the blankets still there just to kind of keep it standing up and then i nestled a little orange pumpkin in here just to give it some more fall flair which i really love i can't wait to continue to like use this piece for decorating i thought that it was missing that piece so i went ahead and added it back in but what i did was i went to the bottom drawer so that i could move the orange of this furthest away from the orange here so that's just kind of like a balancing act of orange and then i tucked it over on this side instead because there's orange here and then orange here i just kind of like that it looks more even because had i done orange all the way down here you know and nothing over here i don't think that it would have looked as good so we're gonna keep that little piece in for now i might end up changing it out for like the leaves just so that it looks like it's all the same stuff that's kind of growing out so i'll just have to pick some up from hobby lobby and then for this piece i actually did not have anything planned i don't know what i want to do with it quite yet obviously i can take this wreath out and do a fall wreath or i could add in some of like those leaves into there but at the same time i'm thinking to myself okay there's a lot of orange going on i don't want to put orange and absolutely every nook and cranny so like for example this mirror right here i don't have any plans to add anything fall to it i'm just going to leave it as is because we're going to be decorating the end tables next next up is going to be this section right here i have a console table and some decor on this back wall um next to the kitchen so this year i think i definitely want to do something very different from what i did last year i'm going to go ahead and get everything taken off with the exception of the lamps from the table itself and start getting some fall pieces staged in here all right so i'm gonna decorate this bottom part first and i can't believe i'm about to bring out this item right here it has been in yeah it's been in so many of my like previous houses that i've lived in if you guys follow me for a while then you've like seen all the different houses and i still have this piece so in the last house it was in my office and i do have a bigger luggage to it but i'm just going to use a small one because the bigger one won't fit under here and it is this piece right here so if you've been with me for a while then you definitely recognize it i'm just gonna go ahead and slip it under here plan to do next was take this scarf i got it last not last year a few years ago from amazon and this isn't the second reason why i kept the navy pillows so the first reason as i explained was because of the navy chair and then there is a navy in this plaid maybe like cover a corner because originally this was what i had planned and actually that still kind of works you can actually see it pretty well all right so here is the current look i really love how this turned out uh this just gives it more of a fall feel with like the darker piece of furniture and then that plaid again just makes it so much more festive i added some pumpkins over here still trying to keep some of my existing decor as well so i don't have to put up you know absolutely everything and then this is a piece i had in the kitchen i had some tulips in it but then i decided to put these mums so these are new this year at hobby lobby they have not been in one of my hauls i just recently got it they come in i think like yellow and red maybe but i opted for orange because that is my main color this year i decided to make a quick trip to home goods and i scored two amazing blankets so the first one on my list i knew that i wanted navy and then the second one i just kind of wanted it to be something fall that i just knew would fit well with what i was trying to do here so i did find a navy blanket and it's perfect what i also love about this is that it's like a full queen so it'll be a nice proper blanket to you know cuddle under and watch movies because the blankets i have downstairs are more like throw blankets you know they just don't always fit i think the navy blanket is gonna work out perfectly the second blanket at first i wasn't quite sure but then i realized this is actually probably perfect so not only did i find a plaid but i found a plaid that just look at this it just goes so well with all the colors there's black in it for the crows alright guys i think i'm done decorating so let's go ahead and do the tour over here i really love how this console table turned out this year it's definitely an improvement from my decorating style last year but also you know two different styles it's been really fun to add some color in this year and i really like how the pumpkins turn out here and especially this piece at the bottom there's something about the trunk aspect that just makes it more fall maybe it's just because of the leather details and the fact that it's dark brown it just like you know those earth tone colors so i really like how much more fall my myspace is looking because i do obviously use a lot of lighter colors to decorate so bringing in like these orange and fall colors um have contributed i think to making the space look more like autumn so uh yeah so anyways i really like how it turned out i liked keeping some of my pieces and then the faux mum there and then of course i love this plaid here and i also love that there's navy in it like i mentioned earlier because then it's just such a nice transition to the navy that i'm using here which i'm honestly pleasantly surprised because i'm telling you when i was um figuring out how i was gonna decorate the space navy was not in the color palette at all this just happened while i was decorating so we've got the nice big blanket here i could have folded it one more it just would have been a little too chunky so it just works out like this over here you saw that i kept it ultra simple i just added one pumpkin left it at that i honestly feel like that's all this little space needed i am going to be changing things up for halloween so i don't want to you know overdo it in this section i decided to leave this wreath as is this piece is by far my favorite um also something i did off-camera i added a little twinkle lights they are from dollar tree and it's just perfection we've got some books and some plaid and some pumpkins super super cute i love it but honestly the showstopper for me comment down below and let me know like what your favorite part is the pillows is it just like the color palette or is it the crows mixed with the the leaves but really for me the showstopper are the way the black crows inter integrate with these leaves it just really feels like my house is like has no roof you know and like nature's kind of growing on the inside so i really love that aspect and honestly pleasantly surprised also that these crows ended up working out and then over here we've got the basket let me just step back so you guys can see as much as you possibly can i'll give you another wide shot in a minute but here's what this little nook looks like but yeah so cute um these crows from at home are just absolutely fantastic i just wish that they were in different body positions so i didn't really have much of an angle to work with with that guy so they kind of look like they're twinning which is which is fine but it's nice to have like different body positions because then it looks effortless i guess i don't know you know what i mean but anyways so this turned out so pretty in my opinion and i actually loved last year's two last years i thought was very very pretty is my first time doing anything like i did with the green and stuff so definitely go check out my living room last year um because this is like completely different i i feel like i can't compare the two really comes down to you know like your style and your preference but i just really am loving all of these pops of orange um but here is the wide shot so that you guys can see as much as possible from a camera angle but i hope you guys have been enjoying the fall series on my channel if you have please give this video a thumbs up as always i will link my fall playlist down below so if you just need more fall in your life that playlist should help you thank you so much for decorated the top i wanted some just everyday pieces this is obviously not fall related but it should be here you know the majority of the year because this is a brand new piece and so i didn't get it specifically for fall then i found this cute little typewriter this is from amazon so i'll link it down below and then these little flowers are actually from dollar tree but they match the ones exactly that are on the wreath up there so i like how it all kind of ties in together and it brings a little bit of autumn to the top and then in this little slot here i added some books facing out and then i was specific in picking the ones that had like fall colors so some like black trim white and then some orange there and i think that one back there is kind of like yellow i know it's kind of hard to see because of the glass so i'm just going to go ahead and open it and this fall blanket is also from amazon i kept it folded up because when it came to me you can kind of see the indent where they had like the ribbon tied around it so all i did was remove the ribbon but i kept it intact so like even the cardboard you know that they keep and the blankets still there just to kind of keep it standing up and then i nestled a little orange pumpkin in here just to give it some more fall flair which i really love i can't wait to continue to like use this piece for decorating i thought that it was missing that piece so i went ahead and added it back in but what i did was i went to the bottom drawer so that i could move the orange of this furthest away from the orange here so that's just kind of like a balancing act of orange and then i tucked it over on this side instead because there's orange here and then orange here i just kind of like that it looks more even because had i done orange all the way down here you know and nothing over here i don't think that it would have looked as good so we're gonna keep that little piece in for now i might end up changing it out for like the leaves just so that it looks like it's all the same stuff that's kind of growing out so i'll just have to pick some up from hobby lobby and then for this piece i actually did not have anything planned i don't know what i want to do with it quite yet obviously i can take this wreath out and do a fall wreath or i could add in some of like those leaves into there but at the same time i'm thinking to myself okay there's a lot of orange going on i don't want to put orange and absolutely every nook and cranny so like for example this mirror right here i don't have any plans to add anything fall to it i'm just going to leave it as is because we're going to be decorating the end tables next next up is going to be this section right here i have a console table and some decor on this back wall um next to the kitchen so this year i think i definitely want to do something very different from what i did last year i'm going to go ahead and get everything taken off with the exception of the lamps from the table itself and start getting some fall pieces staged in here all right so i'm gonna decorate this bottom part first and i can't believe i'm about to bring out this item right here it has been in yeah it's been in so many of my like previous houses that i've lived in if you guys follow me for a while then you've like seen all the different houses and i still have this piece so in the last house it was in my office and i do have a bigger luggage to it but i'm just going to use a small one because the bigger one won't fit under here and it is this piece right here so if you've been with me for a while then you definitely recognize it i'm just gonna go ahead and slip it under here plan to do next was take this scarf i got it last not last year a few years ago from amazon and this isn't the second reason why i kept the navy pillows so the first reason as i explained was because of the navy chair and then there is a navy in this plaid maybe like cover a corner because originally this was what i had planned and actually that still kind of works you can actually see it pretty well all right so here is the current look i really love how this turned out uh this just gives it more of a fall feel with like the darker piece of furniture and then that plaid again just makes it so much more festive i added some pumpkins over here still trying to keep some of my existing decor as well so i don't have to put up you know absolutely everything and then this is a piece i had in the kitchen i had some tulips in it but then i decided to put these mums so these are new this year at hobby lobby they have not been in one of my hauls i just recently got it they come in i think like yellow and red maybe but i opted for orange because that is my main color this year i decided to make a quick trip to home goods and i scored two amazing blankets so the first one on my list i knew that i wanted navy and then the second one i just kind of wanted it to be something fall that i just knew would fit well with what i was trying to do here so i did find a navy blanket and it's perfect what i also love about this is that it's like a full queen so it'll be a nice proper blanket to you know cuddle under and watch movies because the blankets i have downstairs are more like throw blankets you know they just don't always fit i think the navy blanket is gonna work out perfectly the second blanket at first i wasn't quite sure but then i realized this is actually probably perfect so not only did i find a plaid but i found a plaid that just look at this it just goes so well with all the colors there's black in it for the crows alright guys i think i'm done decorating so let's go ahead and do the tour over here i really love how this console table turned out this year it's definitely an improvement from my decorating style last year but also you know two different styles it's been really fun to add some color in this year and i really like how the pumpkins turn out here and especially this piece at the bottom there's something about the trunk aspect that just makes it more fall maybe it's just because of the leather details and the fact that it's dark brown it just like you know those earth tone colors so i really like how much more fall my myspace is looking because i do obviously use a lot of lighter colors to decorate so bringing in like these orange and fall colors um have contributed i think to making the space look more like autumn so uh yeah so anyways i really like how it turned out i liked keeping some of my pieces and then the faux mum there and then of course i love this plaid here and i also love that there's navy in it like i mentioned earlier because then it's just such a nice transition to the navy that i'm using here which i'm honestly pleasantly surprised because i'm telling you when i was um figuring out how i was gonna decorate the space navy was not in the color palette at all this just happened while i was decorating so we've got the nice big blanket here i could have folded it one more it just would have been a little too chunky so it just works out like this over here you saw that i kept it ultra simple i just added one pumpkin left it at that i honestly feel like that's all this little space needed i am going to be changing things up for halloween so i don't want to you know overdo it in this section i decided to leave this wreath as is this piece is by far my favorite um also something i did off-camera i added a little twinkle lights they are from dollar tree and it's just perfection we've got some books and some plaid and some pumpkins super super cute i love it but honestly the showstopper for me comment down below and let me know like what your favorite part is the pillows is it just like the color palette or is it the crows mixed with the the leaves but really for me the showstopper are the way the black crows inter integrate with these leaves it just really feels like my house is like has no roof you know and like nature's kind of growing on the inside so i really love that aspect and honestly pleasantly surprised also that these crows ended up working out and then over here we've got the basket let me just step back so you guys can see as much as you possibly can i'll give you another wide shot in a minute but here's what this little nook looks like but yeah so cute um these crows from at home are just absolutely fantastic i just wish that they were in different body positions so i didn't really have much of an angle to work with with that guy so they kind of look like they're twinning which is which is fine but it's nice to have like different body positions because then it looks effortless i guess i don't know you know what i mean but anyways so this turned out so pretty in my opinion and i actually loved last year's two last years i thought was very very pretty is my first time doing anything like i did with the green and stuff so definitely go check out my living room last year um because this is like completely different i i feel like i can't compare the two really comes down to you know like your style and your preference but i just really am loving all of these pops of orange um but here is the wide shot so that you guys can see as much as possible from a camera angle but i hope you guys have been enjoying the fall series on my
