**Unboxing and First Impressions of the Carbon A6 Android Phone**
Let's start by unboxing this carbon A6 android phone. Upon opening the box, we find that it comes with one SIM card slot, which is located on the right side of the device. There's also a Micro SD card slot, which is placed on the bottom of the phone. Additionally, we have a 1450 mAh battery, which provides sufficient power for a full day of use. The back cover is removed to reveal the phone's internal components.
As we put everything back together and try to boot the device, we notice that it has a unique animation, which says "Carbon" and then boots up. Upon first glance, the screen looks bright and colorful, but the viewing angles could be better. We also see that the top of the phone features a 3.5 mm headphone jack, a Micro USB port, and a power button with haptic feedback. The volume rocker is located on the side of the phone, and there's no other buttons or ports.
**Boot Up and Lock Screen**
As we boot up the device for the first time, we're greeted with a weird lock screen that looks like Windows Phone 8, but runs on Android version 4.0 (IC). The home screens are visible, and although there seems to be some lag, it's still operational at this point. Let's take a closer look at the settings menu to see what information we can gather about this phone.
**About Phone Section**
In the About phone section, we find that the device is indeed the Carbon A6, running on Android version 4.0.3 (IC). The internal storage capacity is surprisingly low at only 104 MB, which might be a major con for users who like to install multiple applications. We also notice that there's no auto-brightness setting, so we'll have to manually adjust the screen brightness.
**Basic Browsing and Display**
Now that we're connected to our Wi-Fi network, let's test how well this phone performs in basic browsing. The keyboard seems fairly responsive, but I did notice a slight lag. As we navigate through the browser, it loads the website quickly, and the screen quality is quite good. However, when trying to pinch-to-zoom on images, there's noticeable lag, which might be an issue for some users.
**Pinch-to-Zoom Issue**
To test the pinch-to-zoom feature further, I decided to download the Chrome web browser, but unfortunately, it crashed with a compatibility error message that says "Your device isn't compatible with this version." This is a major disappointment, as even popular apps like Chrome should work on most Android devices. The display itself seems nice, but the pinch-to-zoom issue makes it difficult to use.
**Camera App**
Let's quickly take a look at the camera app, which claims to have a 5 megapixel shooter. While focusing is fast, snapping the picture takes around 3 seconds, and when I review the photo, it doesn't look particularly impressive. The lack of pinch-to-zoom in the camera viewfinder makes it difficult to capture high-quality images.
**Conclusion**
In conclusion, this carbon A6 Android phone seems like a decent option for basic use, but its performance issues with pinch-to-zoom and poor camera capabilities make it less than ideal. With such a low internal storage capacity, users may find themselves limited in terms of installing applications or storing files on the device. Overall, I'm not very impressed with this carbon A6 Android phone.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi there this is ranit from tas.com and in this video we're going to do the unboxing for this carbon A6 which is a budget oriented Android phone lately I've been getting a lot of requests to review some budget Android phones so this is the one uh and the specs looks pretty good and it's a fairly affordable Android phone it supports a 4in screen and as you can see it says that it's IPS screen it's a 1 GHz processor and again it comes with Android version 4 that's ICS and it also has a f megapixel rear facing camera and the price quoted here is 5,990 but Fel Communications quoted me a street price of 5,300 for this phone and I want to thank Fel Communications for providing this unit for review so this is the phone itself uh let me just keep it to the side for now and let's quickly look at what else do we get in the Box we get the handsfree kit the USB charging cable the charger USB charger the battery let's look at the battery the capacity of the battery is 1450 mamp and we also get some carbon A6 user manual and carbon Clinic that's the warranty so let's keep all these things to the side and let's look at the interesting thing that's the phone itself so this is the handset and uh let and the back actually it looks uh kind of rubber finish and it looks actually really elegant and the phone looks quite stylish I would say for a budget oriented phone let's open the back cover and as you can see it's a dual SIM Android phone we can H attach two sims let me add my SIM card to the same let's add one sim card like this the other goes in here and we can also add a Micro SD card so let me add a Micro SD card also and this is the battery which is a 1450 mamp battery and let's put back the back cover and let's try to boot the device we have the power button that's on the top and it gave me a haptic feedback and it says carbon smart A6 so the screen initial Impressions looks pretty bright and the viewing angles are also okay I would say till the time it boots let me give you a physical overview on the top we have the 3.5 mm headphone jack the micro USB slot is also over here the power button and here we have the volume rocker nothing else over here and on the bottom we have the microphone we have this white tone and we have these three touch type capacitive buttons so actually it's uh just booting and as you can see very weird animation earlier it said carbon and again it booted and this is a very weird lock screen that carbon has put in looks like Windows Phone 8 but it runs on Android version 4.0 that is IC and as you can see we have five home screens and I feel there is a little bit of lag but again it just booted so let's look at the Android version that we get and again we have these three touch type capactive buttons at the bottom that is menu home and back let's go to the settings and let's look at about the phone and as you can see it's the carbon A6 and the Android version running is 4.0.3 that's IC and let's also look at the storage uh this is the SD card storage 1.8 GB what is the internal storage again the internal storage is very limited and it is just 104 MB so one this might be a big con with this phone so if you are a person who likes to install a lot of applications this phone might not be ideal for you because the internal storage is very limited Also let's look at the display and let's see if it has auto brightness setting no we sadly do not have any Auto brightness settings so you have to manually adjust the brightness let me quickly just connect to our Wi-Fi network and let's check how is the basic browsing with this phone the keyboard was fairly responsive but I did notice a slight lag and now as it's connected let's fire up the web browser let's try to go to our website that's take to BU um it's loading it fairly quickly I would say again it rendered it fine and the screen quality that carbon has put is pretty good I would say again you notice the pinch to zoom gesture is a little bit laggy actually it's nothing great it's very laggy actually we are not getting any pinch to zoom GES that's amazing so we have to zoom in VI this that's that's such sure bad thing let me also quickly just download the Chrome web browser and check if this pinch to zoom again as you can see pinch to zoom simply is not working this has to be one of the weirdest Android phones that I have tested because I have tested even lower priced phones than this one and we had this s to zoom guesture but on this it's simply not working and actually I did try to download Chrome but I had a weird error let me go to the Play Store and uh search for Chrome and the error is it says that just read this message your device isn't compatible with this version so that's very weird and sad to see that even a popular app like Chrome is not compatible with this device so again uh the display is nice I would say but again uh as we have seen the pinch to zoom guesture was even not working on this phone and even as we tried the Chrome web browser it simply did not work as expected so I don't think so this is a great device and again carbon did uh preload some of the apps for example WhatsApp was pre-downloaded we have File Explorer we also have the camera app let's also quickly look at the camera app and uh they say it's a 5 megapix shooter let's it's focusing fast but just notice how long it took to snap the picture it's very poor it's almost taking about 3 seconds to take the picture so again uh camera performance again is simply not great and just look at the picture again again as you see again we don't have pinch to zoom gesture even in this so again I'm not very impressed with this carbon A6 again I feel that every android phone should have the pinch to zoom guesture uh by default so again this is a quick unboxing of this carbon A6 Android phone that's it for now this is ranit from tech.com and I hope to see you in my next videohi there this is ranit
