iOS 16 Changes, Secret ‘Mass Surveillance’ Tool Targets iPhones, iPhone 14 Plus Leaks

**Apple Watch Pro and iPhone 13 Series Design**

Whether or not we're gonna have a flat display on this Apple Watch Pro, and it's going to be interesting to see what Apple actually does here because it's really been kind of 50/50 both ways. So we do know for sure pretty much that a more rugged bigger Apple Watch is coming as a separate variation of the Series Eight. We just don't know for sure if it's gonna have those flat edges like the iPhone 13 series and presumably the iPhone 14 series as well.

**M2 MacBook Pros**

Mark German, recently said that the M2 Pro and M2 Max chips are "well into development" and that they can still be released as early as this fall. Of course, they can get pushed back due to supply chain issues, but as we know from the previous episode, mass production of these MacBooks will begin in the fourth quarter, so I would say that there's a pretty good chance we're gonna get those M2 MacBook Pros this year.

**Apple Care Lawsuit**

I talked about this before, but now payments are actually starting to go out, and what I'm referring to is the huge $95 million dollar Apple Care lawsuit against Apple. This lawsuit was filed several years ago, you know over sending users replacements that were basically just refurbished models, and not new models even though Apple said in their terms that they're gonna replace their device with a brand new product but it wasn't, and they got sued. So Apple was found at fault and after loyal fees, they're now paying between $63 and $68 million dollars, and it's going to be dispersed amongst customers who've had a device replaced via AppleCare since July 20th, 2012.

**Mass Surveillance Tool**

So if you ever got a device replaced since 2012, you're probably gonna get some free money. Those eligible are now receiving emails from the law firm Higgins Berman informing them of their payment ready to be collected, and the amount's going to vary based on the number of devices that you actually had replaced by Apple but it looks like it's gonna be $14.45 per device. But hey, it's free money, so go claim it.

**Secret iPhone Tracking Tool**

According to a recent report from The Associated Press, quote law enforcement agencies from Southern California to North Carolina have been using an obscure cell phone tracking tool at times without search warrants that gives them the power to follow people's movements months back in time. And they do this with a tool called Fog Reveal, which gets advertising identification numbers from apps like Starbucks and Waze, and from that they can see targeted ads based on a person's location and interests.

**Hoarding iPhones**

The latest development is that a new sealed iPhone 2G (the original iPhone) just sold at auction for over $35,000. And here's the listing of the completed auction, and you can see this is the rare non-iTunes store version which is the early batch of iPhone 2Gs they all shipped out without the iTunes store on there because it didn't exist.
