How to Stream Mobile Games on PC With Streamlabs Obs on Android [2020]

**Adding Filters to Your Microphone Input in Streamlabs OBS**

In this tutorial, we'll cover how to add filters to your microphone input in Streamlabs OBS to remove keyboard sounds or make it sound better. This is a crucial step to upgrade your stream quality.

You can check out my previous tutorial on this topic by clicking the link below. It's packed with valuable information to help you improve your stream's audio quality.

**Adding an Alert Box**

The next thing we want to add is an alert box so people can see when someone follows you, subscribes to you, etc. To do this:

1. Click on the plus icon in Streamlabs OBS.

2. Double-click "Alert Box" and click "Add Source".

3. Then, click "Done".

Now, let's test the alerts by clicking on "Test Widgets". You'll see examples of follow, subscription, bits (donations), etc.

If you want to customize your alerts further or change their positions, I have a guide that covers this in detail. However, for now, let's move on to creating our Intermission Screen.

**Creating the Intermission Screen**

To create a new scene, go back to Streamlabs OBS and click on the plus icon. Name it "Intermission".

Now, add an image source by clicking on the plus icon again and selecting "Image". Browse to the "Intermission Screen" file in your overlay package and double-click it.

Resize this web cam box to fit the widescreen format by holding down the Alt key and adjusting its dimensions.

**Adding Game Capture**

To add a game capture, click on the plus icon and select "Game Capture". This will be the same source as in our previous scene.

Add this source and then resize the border of the game capture by holding down the Alt key and adjusting its dimensions. Make sure it fits perfectly within the Intermission Screen.

**Adding Webcam and Chat**

To add a webcam, click on the plus icon and select "Video Capture Device". This will be the same as in our previous scene. Add this source and resize the border of the webcam by holding down the Alt key and adjusting its dimensions.

To add a chat box, click on the plus icon and select "Chat Box". Add this source and adjust its position to fit within the Intermission Screen.

That's it! You've successfully created your Intermission Screen with game capture, webcam, and chat.

WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: en- Today we will be setting upa quality mobile live streamin Streamlabs OBS withyour mobile game capture, your webcam, your microphone, overlays, alerts, et cetera. What's up, everyone?Yeli here with The Video Nerd and welcometo the Streamlabs OBS master course. If you're not in the mastercourse playlist itself, make sure you go there bythe link in the descriptionbecause there are a lot moreguides to further enhanceyour live stream in that playlist. We will be downloadinga few programs to set upthis whole stream and all the linkswill always be in the description. The first program we willbe downloading in this guideis of course, Streamlabs OBS,so make sure you download itand then you log in withyour Twitch or Mixer account,et cetera, so we can goon with the next step. Then the second programwe will be downloadingis a screen capture programfor your mobile device. It's completely free andit sends your phone screenin a great quality to your computer. So let's just go ahead and download it.I can't pronounce thename so this is the name, but I will show you how to download it.I will put the link to theprogram in the descriptionso just paste it in your URLbar and then go to the website.Just scroll to the bottom and right hereyou can download it fordifferent operating systems.I am using Windows and it's 64 bits.If you're not sure, you can right clickon your Windows icon, clickon System and then right thereyou will see if your PC is 32 or 64 bits.Mine is 64, so I just click on this link. Then the download will start. Now, once the download isfinished, you have to unpack it,so get it into a separate folderand then just click Extract here. Then this file is what you wanna clickto launch the program, but itprobably will not work yet.If it does, great, but otherwise, you need to set your phonein Developer Mode andenable the debug mode. Now if you don't know how to do it,I will show it to you right now.So let's go to the settings, then scrollcompletely to the bottomand then click on About. Then again, completely to the bottomand there you will see Build Number. Now, you wanna click that five times. And then you will get a pop-upto to enter your password. So, I will enter my password right now.Click on Okay. Then the Developer Mode will be enabledand we only have toenable the USB debug mode. For that, go back one level, then clickon Options For Developers, then scroll a bitto the bottom 'til you see USB Debug Mode. Then you enable that, click on Okay, and then you're finished. Then, on your computer youcan now launch the program. So, just double click it,it will open, and boom.Your phone screen willappear on your PC screen. Now, of course it's in portrait mode, but when we open a gamelike Mobile Legends,it will go in landscape mode. You can control the phoneof course, on your phone, but you can also use this window. So it's not only screen mirroring. You can type in it, you canscroll, click, et cetera. So let's open Mobile Legendsand then you see itgoes in landscape mode. Now the next thing we wanna dois import this game into Streamlabs OBS.For that, let's open Streamlabs OBS,then right here in themiddle, we have the sourcesand it's right here that we wanna addour mobile screen capture. So click on the plus icon, then click on Game Capture right here. It's a good name so click on Add Source.Down here, as your mode, youwanna click this dropdownand you wanna selectCapture Specific Windowand then in Window, wewanna choose the window. So it's right here. The program name and thenone plus, so my phone name.Let's click that, and right here,it already appears on-screen.Now, I will move this window a bitand you see that we have a problembecause the borders aren't correct. Now, there's an easy fix for this,so let's click on Done, thenhold Alt on your keyboardand then you can just move theborders so it fits correctly.Like this and right nowthe borders are correct. And then we immediatelyrun into another problem.Let's grab this corner right hereand then make it bigger 'til it touchesthe other side of the screen.Like you see, we have a borderand that's because a phonescreen has a differentaspect ratio comparedto a normal PC screenbecause a phone screen iswider and because of that,we have this border right here. This can be a problem for your stream,so I created two overlays especiallyfor this video for you guys.So I will show you how to get it.In the description, there will be a link,so just click on that and you will getto this page right here on Gumroad.I made an overlay for whenyou are gaming in full screenwith your webcam andyour labels at the bottomand I also made one forwhen you have downtimeon your stream, so your webcam is bigger. You have your game capture, your chat, et cetera. So to download it, you canjust enter zero right here, click on I Want This and thenyou can download the overlay.Back into Streamlabs OBS, youwanna click on the plus iconof the sources, thendouble click on Image.Let's call it 'overlay'.Click on Add Source, then click on Browse, and then you just go to the overlay pack, which you just downloadedand then you havethe Intermission Screenand this widescreen phonefor just full-screen gaming. So let's double clickon that, click on Done. Then in the sources, rightclick on the overlay,go to Transform and thenclick Fit to Screen. Now the overlay is full screen, but your game capturedoesn't fit perfectly. So in the sources, let'sclick on Game Captureso you can see the bordersand then just adjust it'til you are happy withthe placement of your game. Now it fits correctly andwhen we click on somethingon our phone, you can see that it works.Or of course, on your computerwhile you are streaming.Just do it right here.It all works. Then the next thing todo is adding our webcam.Again, in the sources, click on the plus icon, then double click on Video Capture Device.Let's call it 'webcam'.Add source. And then right here, youwanna select your webcam.I usually use my camera as my webcam, but I'm recording this videoright now so I can't select it.But select your webcam right hereand it will appear inyour screen right here.Click on Done. It's black for me now, but foryou, it will be your webcam. So just position it somewherein the corner right hereand then I also did add awebcam border in the pack.Click on the plus icon, click on Image again, and then on the bottom, enable this one.Add a New Source Instead. Okay.Call it 'webcam border'.Click Add Source. Then again, click on Browseand then when you scrollto the bottom right here, you can see 'webcam border'.So just double click it, click on Done.Select it in the sources soyou can grab it to move it.Let's position thebottom-left corner right hereand then just drag the top-right corner'til it fits and we see thatit doesn't fit perfectly. To fix that, let's make surethe top line is connectedwith the webcam, thenhold the Shift buttonand then you can drag the right borderwithout moving everything. So just connect it likethis and it's done. Now right here on the bottom,we can see Recent Follow,Top Donation, and Recent Sub.So, here we need to add labels. In Streamlabs OBS, that's very easy.Just click on the plus icon in the sourcesand then on the right, you can see Stream Label. So just double click thatand let's call this one 'recent follow'.Click on Add Source andthen in this dropdown, you can just search forMost Recent Follower.Right here I have it. Just click it.Then you can choose yourfont family right here.Your phone style, you canchange the size right here, change the color, andthen just click on Done.On your screen on the top-left,you will see your mostrecent follower appearing. Now, I took a dummy accountto log in in Streamlabs OBS,so I don't have a recentfollower and maybewhen you're setting up your stream, you also don't have one yet. But, right here, let's click on Done. Now with our arrow keys, we can movethis right here, you see.And this will becomeour most recent followerwhen we have one. It's hard to move this right now,so just make it a bit bigger. Then just move it to the bottomright here and then make it small again. So for now, you can position it right hereand then when you have a recent followeror when you see one, you canposition it correctly right here. And you have to do the samething for the other ones.Top Donator, et cetera. You just add a new source, stream label on the bottom, add a new source instead, you give it another name, you click on Add Sourceand then in the dropdown, you just look for a RecentSubscriber and Top Donation. So let's cancel thisand delete this source. So now you know how to setup the labels at the bottomand then the next thing wewanna do is add our gaming soundto Streamlabs OBS because I don't knowif you have noticed it already, but the screen captureprogram we are usingonly transmits our video to our computerand not our phone audio. To do that, it's really simple actually. You just connect an auxcable to the headphone jackof your phone and then theother side of the cablegoes in the microphoneinput of your computer. So then we are actuallyusing through microphones. We are using this microphoneto talk to our streamand then our phone isthe second microphone. So to set that up in Streamlabs OBS,just click on the Settingsicon on the bottom-rightthen go to Audio, then as your MicrophoneAuxiliary Device 1, youshould select your microphone. This microphone isconnected through my laptop,so I can't select it righthere, but I can selectthe microphone of myheadset, which is this one. Then as your Mic Auxiliary Device 2,you should select the microphone inputof your computer to whichyou connected your phone. So let's just click on the dropdownand then for me, it's this one.Microphone high definition audio device. It can be a different thing for you,but this one is for me,so let's click on Done. And now our two devices are connected. So we have our headset, which is connectedto Streamlabs OBS and our phone. So right here on the bottom-right,you can see the Mixerwindow and there we seemicrophone of my headphones. When I move it very close to my mouth, you see that it's picking up the sound. And then the phone is also connectedbecause when I click on a button, you will see that it willmove into the yellow. You see.So they are both connected. Now, what else would you wantto connect to your stream?Maybe you wanna connectmusic, Spotify, for exampleand I have another tutorial for thatfor how you wanna do thattogether with a Spotify overlay,so if you wanna do that, clickon the course right thereso you can go to the Spotify tutorial. And then another very handytutorial I already madeis to add filters to your microphone inputright here in Streamlabs OBSto remove the keyboard soundsor to make it sound a bit better. So you might also wantto check out that, guys,if you want to upgradeyour stream quality. So I will link that also in the course. Then the next thing you reallywanna add is an alert boxso people can see whensomeone follows you, subscribes to you, et cetera. If you wanna add a reallysimple, basic alert box,you just click on the plus icon, you double click Alert Box.Right here, you click on Add Source, you click on Done, and it's added. You see when it's selected in the sources,we have a green border right here,so this is where your alertswill be displayed on the stream. On the bottom, you canclick on Test Widgetsand then you can test the alerts. For example, let's click on Followand you see darkripperz is now following.Subscription. Subscribed.Bits, a donation, et cetera. If you wanna do more with your alerts, you wanna add customalerts, change everything, different positions for alerts, et cetera,I also have a guide on thatso I will also link it in the course. But to be honest, the more easy wayis to just go to theStreamlabs OBS master coursethat I made because there areall these Streamlabs tutorialsare packed in one playlist andyou can just go through themand upgrade your stream asyou go through the videos. So I highly recommend that. Now the final thing to do is makingthe other scene that I created. The other scene that I didput in this overlay package. So that's this Intermission Screenand actually it's kind of the same, but there are two new elementsand that's resizing thiswebcam box right herebecause it's not Widescreen anymoreand it's adding our chatright here on the right. So let's just do that right now.Let's go back to Streamlabs OBSand on the left, you canclick on the plus iconto make a new scene.Let's call it 'intermission'.Click Done. Then in the sources, let'sclick on the plus icon.Double click on Image, add a new source instead.Let's call it 'overlay'.Add source. Browse. And then in the pack, righthere, Intermission Screen. This is what you wanna double click.Right click on the Intermission Screen.Transform and then where is it?Oh, here. Fit to screen. So now, that's this. Now let's set our game capture,so click on the plus icon, double click Game Capture. And now we do not needto make a separate sourcebecause it's the same sourceas in the previous scene. So let's just click onAdd Source. Here it is.Now to resize the border, hold the Alt keyand just make sure it connects like this. Then you can just make it smallerwithout holding any key andthen you can move it here.Make sure it fits and makesure that in the sources, the game capture is below the overlay. So let's move it below. So this makes sure that wesee all the borders perfectly. This works like that. Now add our webcam. So click on the plus icon, click on Video Capture Device right here. It's the same webcam as in the other sceneso also, don't make a new source.Just click on Add Source. Then right here, thisshould be your webcam. It's black because mywebcam isn't connected, but for you, it should work.Let's also move it below the overlayand then you just wanna move your webcamto the position that you want.Make sure that it fills the whole screenfrom top to bottom andthen hold the Alt keyand cut off the leftpart or the right part, depending on where you are in the screenso you can make sure thatit fits and like this. That should work. Then let's add our chat right here.So again, in the sources, click the plus iconand then right here we can see Chat Box.So just double click it, add source, and here you will see a previewof how the chat is looking. You have a lot of options right hereso just go through theoptions 'til you are happywith the chat that is createdand then click on Done. Then right here, this is the chat,so you wanna move it right herein the chat box that's just created. For example, like this. And then while holdingShift on your keyboard, you can move one borderto make it fit like this. Now to test the chat box,we can click on this arrowright here on the right so that we will gointo the chat of our stream. So we can just say, "Hi,hello. Nice stream."So you see that it's working like this. Now you will see some spaceon the left of your chat.Let's type something again.Right here, you see, butthis is for badges of people. So when people have morebadges, there's still room,so don't move your chat to the leftto make it connect withthe left chat border. No, just leave it like this.So make sure when you clickon the chat box in the sourcesthat the borders are aligning perfectlybecause then everythingin your chat will fit.So right now I'm editingand I just realizedthat I didn't go over the settingsto actually get your stream online. So that's what we'regoing to do right now.Let's go back to Streamlabs OBS.My webcam is still not linked. My phone isn't linked anymore, but it doesn't matter. We're just going to go over the settingsto get your stream online. On the bottom-left corner, click on the gear iconand then first of all,go to the video tab.So right here is yourBase Canvas Resolution. You should select yourhighest resolution possible. So for me, it's 1440p.Maybe for you, it's like1080 or I don't know.Select your highest. So this is the resolution of your screenwhile you are streaming. Then the Output Scaled Resolutionis the resolution thatyour stream will be seeing. So if you're streaming a slow-paced game,a mobile board game or things like that, you should select 1920x1080.This is 1080p quality and it's great, but when you're streaming fast-paced gameslike shooters, et cetera, you should considerlowering the resolution right hereto, for example, 1960because when you arestreaming fast-paced games, there's a lot more newinformation that has to be sentto the severs because everypixel is changing every time. When you're streaming boardgames or something like that,a lot of the pixels keep the same valuefor a really long time, sothen there isn't as muchinformation that needsto be sent to the server. So because of that, you can select 1080pand your footage willstill be high quality. You can select 1080p forfast-paced games, too,but it's recommended to lower it a bit.So choose what's best for you. Then as your Downscale Filter, you should select Lanczos,no discussion about this. Then FPS Type, leaveit at common fps valuesand then as your common fps value, you should select 30 or 60.With slow-paced games, you can select 30,but with high-paced games, racing games, shooters, et cetera, go for 60.And then let's go into the output settingsfor the real deal. Now, if you don't like all these settings, just go to Simple Mode, set your bit rateto 4,500 or 6,000 if yourInternet is pretty great.Use Hardware NVENC new as your encoderor if you don't have anNVIDIA graphics card,go for Software 264.That's everything for the Simple Settings, but I do not recommend this.I recommend you to goto the Advanced Settingsand then set up these ones.So the first thing, the encoder again, choose Hardware NVENC new if you havea NVIDIA graphics cardand if it supports it.If it doesn't, Software 264,but we will set up Hardware NVENC firstbecause this is what mostpeople will be using.Make sure you do notselect Enforced StreamingService Encoder Settings. Then as your rate control, you should select CBR,which stands for Constant Bit Rateand then we can select aconstant bit rate right here. Now, this depends on your Internet speed. You should do an Internet speed test.So I will go to speedtest.netand I will do a quick test.So the test just finishedand my upload speed is15 megabits per second. Now, in the settings in Streamlabs OBS,the bit rate right hereis in bits per second. So you should convertthe megabits per secondto bits by multiplying it by 1,000.So my upload speed is15,000 bits per second. So I can just make this6,000 and be done with it.Now, if your upload speed is slower, you should select aslower bit rate right hereand you can, for example,go to 4,500 or even 3,000,but when you're going that low,I recommend you to goto the video settingsand select 30 fps right here. Now, when your upload speed is slower, for example, if you're gettingthree megabits per secondright here, that's 3,000kilobits per second, but entering 3,000 righthere isn't a good ideabecause then you have no head room.I mean, if your upload speed is 3,000,you should select 2,500bits per second at mostbecause you still want a bit of head roomfor when other thingsare happening on your PClike Spotify or aYouTube video, et cetera. If you're not sure whatbit rate you should select, you can go to Google and then searchfor Twitch encoding chart. Then you go to the firstlink and right hereyou have a very clear chart. So we are setting up NVIDIA NVENC settingsand we are choosing 900p, wellit's 960, but let's say 900p.60 fps, so they're sayingthat we should selecta bit rate of 6,000 kilobits per second. Now, like I said, ifyour Internet is too slowand for example, you canonly select 3,000 kilobitsper second, then you see that you shouldselect 720p and 30 fps.So if that's the case, thenyou just go to your settingsand then you go to the video taband there you can select theOutput Scaled Resolution. So there, you select 720p and then 30 fps. Then you go to your output settingsand you select 3,000 as your bit rate. But since my upload speed was high enough,I see that I can handle6,000 kilobits per second,so I could go for 1080p or for 900p.In this case, let's sayI'm streaming an fps game.So in that case, I'mselecting 960 right here, then 60 fps and thenin the output settings,6,000 kilobits per second. Then the next one, the Keyframe Interval, you should set this to two. Then the Preset, youshould set it to quality, the profile to high, youshould disable Look Ahead, enable Psycho Visual Tuning, leave the GPU at zero, and set your max B frames to two.Now if you don't havea NVIDIA graphics cardand Hardware NVENCisn't available for you,you can select Software 264 encoding. Then you should disable EnforceStreaming Service Encoder Settings.Do not select Rescale Output right here.If you select it, yousee that you can selectyour output resolution, butwe are already doing thatin the video tab andit's much more efficientto do it right here becausethen your GPU will be usedto rescale your output, whereas,if you're doing it in the output tab, your CPU will be usedand most of the time, your GPU will have more power leftto do the rescaling than your CPU.So just disable thesetwo settings right here. Then as your rate control, select CBR,which stands for Constant Bit Rateand then as your bitrate, I explained thisfor the Hardware NVENC encoding settings. It's the same one right here.6,000 for me.You should select what fitsyour PC by using this chart.Next, just disable Use Custom Buffer Size.Oops.Set the Keyframe Interval to two. Then the CPU Usage Preset isthe most important settingwhen using Software 264 encoding. Now by default, it willbe set to very fastand the slower you go right here,so to the bottom, the more of your CPUwill be used so the CPUusage will be higher. Now, if you select ultrafast, this is the least taxingfor your CPU, but it'salso the lowest quality. So you should find the balance right here.I recommend you to set it to very fast, complete the othersettings, start your stream, start your game, startgaming, and by pressingControl + Shift + Escape on your keyboard, you can go to your task manager, then you can go to yourperformance right here. And then right here youshould click on Processorand then you see theusage of your processor. So then you start your game, your stream, you game a bit, you come back, and you see what your CPU usage was.Now if there's a lot more head room, let's say you were gaming, et cetera, and it was at 50 like this, then you have some head roomso then you can select, for example, faster. Then you start your game againand you look if you stillhave head room or not.So let's say you don't want to go above70 to 75 percent of your CPU usagebecause you want a bit of headroom for when it fluctuates. So then the next thing, profile, set this to high. And then your tune, just do noneand these are all the settings. Now if everything is set up,the last thing to do isadd in your stream key,but since you logged inwith your Twitch account,it will probably be already added. But, just to be sure, if it isn't,right here you can add your stream key.You can find it on Twitch in the settings. But again, since you have to log inwith your Twitch account these days, the stream key is automatically added. So then you can just click on Go Liveand then fill in this information. The title you want, thegame that you're streaming. You can also choose a tag for your stream. There are a lot of tags to choose fromso you can check this out.And then just click on Confirm. And then your stream will go live. Now, because you'restreaming a mobile game, you can have all kindof things on your screenand people will not be able to see itbecause they are only seeingyour mobile game capture. So, let's say, righthere, we move the gameto the top-right on ourscreen and then on the left, you can add all yourrecent events, et cetera. So when you go to the Streamlabs website, you just log in.I log in with my Twitch accountand then on the left, youcan click on Recent Eventsand that will open a screen with allthe recent events that you wanna see.So you can just move this windowto the left of your screen. Then your game right here on the top-rightand then right here in the open space, you can for example, add anotepad window with thingsyou wanna do or say onstream or things you wannawrite down during your stream, et cetera.People will only be ableto see what you're doingin this window right here.So that's an amazing thingwhen mobile streaming.Everything can be packed on one screen. If you have any questions on anythingthat I just explained right nowor questions about your stream, et cetera, you can ask them in the commentsor you can also join our Discord Channelwhere we are just a community of peoplewho are wanting to grow online. That Discord server is growing togetherwith the TVN community, so youmight wanna check that out.Remember that this wasonly one of the guidesin the Streamlabs OBSmaster course playlist. So I will put a link in the descriptionand there will also bea link in the courseif you wanna check thatout because that playlistis filled with Streamlabs OBS tutorialsthat are very useful. Thanks for watching and I hopethat I will see you in my next video.Have a good day.
