How To Make MACARONI AND CHEESE...out of CAKE!! Orange velvet cake and cream cheese frosting!

**The Making of Cakerooni and Cheesecakes: A Unique Dessert Mashup**

To start creating our cakerooni and cheesecakes, we need to prepare the bottom half of our cake. We'll use a smaller cutter, three inches round, to cut out six circles from the bottom half of the cake. This will be the base of our pot, which is essentially a small cupcake liner made out of cake. Our goal is to create a perfectly rounded shape for each pot.

Once we have all six circle bases, we'll move on to cutting out the top part of the cake. We'll use a larger cutter, three and a quarter inches in diameter, to cut out the top half of the cake. This will be the finishing touch for our cakerooni and cheesecakes. The contrast between the smaller bottom circle and the larger top circle will add visual appeal to our dessert.

Next, we need to prepare our cream cheese frosting. We'll use a round tip, specifically number 805, to pipe a nice ring of frosting onto the cake at the bottom of each pot. This will create a smooth, even base for our jelly beans and other toppings. The cream cheese frosting is essential in balancing out the sweetness of the cake and adding a tangy flavor to our cakerooni and cheesecakes.

Now that we have our pots ready, it's time to add some color and fun to our dessert. We'll use jelly bellies, specifically white coconut-flavored ones, as a topping for our cakerooni and cheesecakes. The jelly bells will resemble macaroni, which is a playful twist on the traditional macaroni and cheese dish. To coat the jelly bells in a cheesy flavor, we'll drizzle them with a homemade ganache made from cream cheese.

To recreate the crunchy topping found in macaroni and cheese, we'll use vanilla cake to create bread crumb-like cubes. We'll butter each cube before adding it to our pot, creating a crispy texture that will add depth to our dessert. The combination of melted cheese, crispy bread crumbs, and sweet jelly bells will be a match made in heaven.

To take our cakerooni and cheesecakes to the next level, we'll use modeling chocolate to create a cheesy topping. We'll grate white chocolate and mix it with corn syrup to create a creamy, orange-colored mixture that resembles melted cheese. The grated modeling chocolate will add a playful touch to our dessert, making it look like a pile of cheddar cheese.

Finally, to add some extra crispy texture and flavor to our cakerooni and cheesecakes, we'll use a blowtorch to create a golden-brown crust on the top. This is where things get really exciting – the combination of melted cheese, jelly bells, and crispy bread crumbs will be irresistible. And to finish it off, we'll sprinkle some grated modeling chocolate on top for added visual appeal.

With all our components ready, it's time to assemble our cakerooni and cheesecakes. We'll place a small amount of cream cheese frosting at the bottom of each pot, followed by a layer of jelly bells, crispy bread crumbs, and melted cheese. The result is a unique dessert that combines the best elements of macaroni and cheese with the sweetness of cake. It's time to taste these creations and see if they live up to our expectations.

**The Verdict: A Delicious Mashup**

After taking a bite of our cakerooni and cheesecakes, we can confidently say that this dessert mashup is a game-changer. The combination of cream cheese frosting, jelly bells, crispy bread crumbs, and melted cheese creates a flavor profile that's both familiar and excitingly new. The modeling chocolate topping adds a playful touch, while the crunchy bread crumbs provide a satisfying texture.

As we take another bite, we're reminded of the joy of experimenting with flavors and textures. like we need to chop we need to put our chopped chocolate into a bowl chopped chocolate chopped chocolate chopped chocolate chopped chocolate and then we're going to take an equal amount of cream i'm going to do this in the microwave because it's so little i'm going to put it on for about a minute this is awkward i didn't think about what to talk to you about while i was waiting for the microwave can they see me i need a wooden spoon let me get that oh it's bubbling we're gonna pour the cream directly over our chocolate you just want to trap in the heat for about 10 minutes somehow magically 10 minutes is up now that our ganache has sort of started to melt we're going to stir it together gently just stir in the middle just add a little little bit of orange at a time i like to put like a drop on the side and then just stir it in imagine your favorite delicious creamy cheese sauce that's the color we're looking for here let's set our ganache aside to cool completely so we can put it on our macaroni later and in the meantime we'll take our cake out of the oven and we'll make some cream cheese frosting i chose cream cheese frosting for obvious reasons because it's cheesy and it's delicious it's actually really easy to make there's only four ingredients anyone can do it we're gonna start by adding cream cheese to our mixing bowl along with some vanilla and we're gonna put this on our mixer and beat it for a few minutes just to soften it and get out any lumps once the cream cheese and vanilla looks nice and smooth we're going to scrape down the bowl and the paddle and then we're going to add our butter and when you add your icing sugar have your mixer at the lowest speed and add it little by little otherwise it will be all over you i'm gonna scrape down the bowl once again make sure all of the sugar is in the mixture and now i'm gonna turn it up just a little bit higher to medium speed to really incorporate everything our frosting is looking nice and smooth and velvety which will go perfect with our orange velvet cake scrape it all into the bowl don't lose any frosting our cake is nice and cool we have our cream cheese frosting we're gonna take this baby out of the pan and we're going to level the top cut off the top with a ruler and a serrated knife i'm actually very curious to see how the color came out are you ready it looks like cheddar cake we are going to cut it in half so we have room for our frosting our cake is ready to be cut into circles because i'm actually going to present these cakes in little individual pots so i pre-measured these pots and i know i need a bit of a smaller circle for the bottom and a bit of a larger circle for the top so we're going to cut the bottom half of our cake with a smaller cutter which is three inches round we need six circles and then we're going to cut out our larger circle which is three and a quarter inches from the top half of our cake perfect you take your little pot and we're going to add the bottom circle of cake into the pot look how perfectly it fits it's like i'm measured and then we're going to put our cream cheese frosting into a bag fitted with a round tip what number is this it's a number 805 so we're just gonna pipe a nice ring of this onto the cake at the bottom of the pot then we're gonna take our top round cake just squeeze it down one down five more to go i almost did five more to go that's ten all of our pots are filled we're just going to top them off with a little bit of cream cheese frosting i'm going to use a small offset palette knife just to spread this cream cheese frosting a little bit you're probably wondering what jelly bellies have to do with macaroni but i tried to think of something that kind of resembles macaroni but that would be delicious to eat on a cake and i chose the white ones these are coconut flavor i'm gonna coat them in our cheesy ganache it's like i'm making oh my god i could have made macaroni out of fondant i could have actually put fondant through a pasta attachment but eating a pile of fondant is not that delicious so i thought jelly bellies would be way more delicious on our cakeroni and cheesecakes now we've got our macaroni ready we're going to top our cakes liberally with our little jelly bellies don't be afraid to get a little messy don't be afraid of some of the jelly beans hang off the pot if you baked macaroni and cheese for real it would be oozing out of the pot that's the best part do you guys think that's high enough because i think it's high enough i think it looks great oh look at the cheese dripping down our ganache has set up a little bit you can see they're not moving around the jelly bellies in my opinion all good macaroni and cheese needs to have bread crumbs and we're gonna recreate that here and instead of bread we're gonna use vanilla cake and cut a couple of thin slices of cake and then i'm gonna butter them the last time i put butter on cake was in my grilled cheese cake video which is really fun if you haven't seen it you should check it out you should just click right here at the end of my butter knife and now we're just going to cut some cubes i feel so free no ruler no symmetry symmetry symmetry now just pile a few cubes more than a few actually on each one of your pots just let the crumbs or the cubes fall where they may and then we're gonna grate some cheese so what i've made here is modeling chocolate white modeling chocolate which is just white chocolate and white corn syrup melted together and then it sets but before it sets i colored it orange so we're gonna take it out of the pan maybe it's like a slab of cheddar so let's grate our modeling chocolate into a pile and then we'll top off our cacao and cheese i want to put this on nachos cake nachos i have to write that down someone write that down and this cheese is freaking me out because it's melting just like cheese it's playing with my mind i'm not done with these babies they need a
