# Unboxing the LG Optimus L9: A Comprehensive Review
## Introduction
Welcome to this detailed unboxing review of the LG Optimus L9, also known as the LG P765. In this article, we will take you through every aspect of the phone, from its packaging and physical features to its software capabilities and performance.
## The Unboxing Experience
The LG Optimus L9 comes in a sleek black box, with an option for white as well. Opening the box reveals the phone itself, which feels light and thin. Alongside the phone, you'll find a startup guide in English, a warranty card, the battery (already sealed), a charger, earphones, and a micro USB to USB cable. The charger is both compact and stylish, with a USB port at the back and LG branding.
## Phone Features
The LG Optimus L9 boasts a 4.7-inch IPS screen, offering vibrant colors and sharp visuals. Its dual-core 1 GHz processor ensures smooth performance for everyday tasks. The phone also features a 5-megapixel rear camera and a front-facing camera for video calls. The back cover is made of flexible plastic, similar to Samsung phones, allowing you to insert both a SIM card and a microSD card for additional storage.
## Software Overview
Booting up the LG Optimus L9, we notice it runs on Android 4.0.4 (ICS). The interface is user-friendly with seven customizable home screens and an app tray. The phone supports dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), making connectivity reliable. We also found that LG has included useful apps like Polaris Office, FM radio, file manager, and a task manager for multitasking.
## Web Browser and Performance
Navigating the web on the LG Optimus L9 was smooth with quick load times. The wide keyboard makes typing comfortable, and features like pinch-to-zoom work seamlessly. Although we encountered some internet connection issues during testing, overall performance remained stable.
## Camera and Display
The 5-megapixel camera captures decent photos quickly, though they lack sharpness in indoor lighting. Outdoor shots are expected to improve this aspect. The display brightness is adjustable manually, with a sufficiently bright screen for various viewing environments.
## Pricing and Availability
Priced at around $177 (INR), the LG Optimus L9 offers great value for its features, making it an attractive option in India's smartphone market.
## Conclusion
The LG Optimus L9 is a solid choice with impressive specs and good software integration. While there are areas like camera quality that could improve, the phone overall delivers a satisfying user experience at an affordable price.
