**Supporting Sustainable Tech**
As we continue to explore the world of technology, it's essential to acknowledge our impact on the environment and adopt sustainable practices that benefit not only ourselves but also future generations. By taking part in initiatives like "Right to Repair" and supporting companies that prioritize sustainability, we can contribute to a more eco-friendly tech industry.
For instance, the Framework laptop is designed with user serviceability in mind, allowing users to easily replace components such as screens or batteries with just a single screwdriver. This design philosophy not only makes technology more affordable but also reduces electronic waste and promotes a culture of repairability. As an investor in this mission-driven company, it's clear that they share our values and are committed to making technology more sustainable.
**Sleep Tracking Made Easy**
When it comes to sleep tracking devices, few options stand out from the crowd like the Oura Ring Gen3. This innovative device not only monitors sleep patterns but also tracks heart rate, body temperature, and other vital signs, providing users with a comprehensive understanding of their overall health. By seamlessly integrating with Apple Watches, users can access all their data in one convenient place.
The Oura Ring Gen3 has been a game-changer for Jenna Ezarik, who finds it to be an incredibly useful tool for optimizing her sleep and overall well-being. With its advanced features and user-friendly interface, this device is sure to become a staple in many households.
**A Year of Upgrades**
In 2021, the tech world saw a mix of upgrades, updates, and innovative new releases that left us wondering if it was truly the best year for gadgets. Faisal Alsaif, however, takes a more nuanced approach, acknowledging that while there were certainly exciting developments, many of them built upon existing technologies rather than introducing something entirely new.
For Faisal, the lack of semiconductors and the resulting shortage of high-end devices meant that 2021 was not exactly the year of groundbreaking innovations. Nevertheless, he believes that SuperSaf TV will still be a great resource for finding the best tech to carry into next year.
**Best of Tech: Laptop Edition**
For TomThe Tech Chap, the MacBook Pro 16 and 14 were clear standouts in 2021, representing a significant upgrade over previous models. With their powerful M1 Max chips and stunning 120Hz mini LED screens, these laptops set a new benchmark for performance and display quality.
Tom's affection for these laptops is no secret, and he can't help but gush about the incredible features and design that make them his top choice for laptop enthusiasts. Whether you're a casual user or a hardcore gamer, the MacBook Pro 16 and 14 are sure to impress.
**Gaming Laptop Glory**
Ashwin from C4ETechon takes center stage when it comes to non-smartphone tech, with the Gigabyte AERO 15 2021 earning his top spot as the best gaming laptop of the year. With its impressive specs, including a 3080 and 11980 HK combo, this device is a powerhouse on the battlefield.
Ashwin's enthusiasm for this laptop is contagious, and he can't help but rave about its 4K OLED panel and solid build quality. While some may have noted the hinge's wobbly design, it hasn't deterred Ashwin from enjoying countless hours of gaming on this incredible machine.
**Gadget Matchmaker**
Finally, Michael Josh from SuperSaf TV takes a closer look at his favorite piece of tech from 2021, not a smartphone. The Oura Ring three earns his top spot, but he knows that other viewers may have already discussed it in depth. As a result, Michael gets a second pick and chooses the VanMoof X3 as his alternative.
This e-bike is not only a stunning work of design but also boasts impressive security features, making it an attractive option for those who value their belongings. With its sleek look and advanced safety features, the VanMoof X3 is sure to turn heads on any bike trail or commute route.

SuperSaf TV.- What's up YouTube? It's Jaime Rivera fromPocketnow here on SuperSaf TV.- Hey guys, this is Linus on SuperSaf TV.- What's up guys, Saf here on SuperSaf TV,and welcome to YouTube Tech Rewind 2021.We've been doing this forabout seven years now.You guys know the drill.I've invited a bunch of my friendswho also happen to be someof your favorite YouTubersto share with us what theirfavorite piece of techof the year has been. And we've already hadpart one for this video, which is our favorite smartphones, the ones we choose to use, that video will be linked in the cardsand in the description, you can see that after this video. In this video, we're goingto be looking at tech, not including smartphones. So I'm going to go aheadand kick things off.My favorite piece of tech of 2021.This is a very, very tough one,but I think it's going to have to bethe M1 Pro and M1 Max MacBook Pros. Now I'm somebody who usesboth Windows and Mac OS.I have a Windows desktop PC,but I think this year in particular,Apple has done a tremendousjob with the new MacBook Pros, the M1 Pro and the M1 Maxmean that you've got excellentperformance with efficiency.I can go on my MacBook Pro all day long, and it pretty much handlesanything that I throw at it.The SD card slot isalso back, which I mean, shouldn't have gone inthe first place anyway, but we've got an excellent120 hertz display, amazing speakers. It's just an overallgreat all around package. So that is my choice.Let's see what the others have to say.- What's up guys, it'sJustine on SuperSaf TV.My favorite piece of techthat was not a phone this yearis actually this ring right here. This is the Oura Ring, and thisis a sleep tracking device. Not only does it track your sleep, but it will track your heart rate.It tracks your blood O2,and it's really coolbecause it does have an appthat goes with it.So when you connect the ring to the app,it'll give you all kindsof really in-depth dataabout how you were sleeping, how you were recovering. This ring has actually changedmy relationship with sleep, and it's made me realizehow important it is.And I feel like if you'rewatching this video right now, probably a really good chanceyou're not getting enough sleep. So this ring is so awesome. And I have been really enjoyingthis over the past year.- My favorite piece of tech for 2021,I'm a little biased, but I would have to sayit's the electric vehiclethat I'm making myself. You might've seen this1995 military Humveeon my channel already. And it might seem likeit's moving fairly quickly, like, the project in general, but I've actually been planning thisand working on it for the last two years.I'm using 18 Tesla battery modulesto move this massive truck.I have it taken aparta little bit right now.Well, (laughs) there'sall the guts over there, but we have the electricmotor, the inverter, the power steering, the DC to DC converter. All of this tech is stuffthat's been introducedrelatively recently. So this Hummer behind me,while I am slightly biased,is my favorite tech of 2021.- What's up YouTube, it's Jaime Riverafrom Pocketnow, here on SuperSaf TV.Favorite product of 2021 has to bethis 14 inch MacBook Pro.To have a beast that can chewup complex renders in minutes, all while barely sippingon 30% of the batteryon a cross-country flight, and giving me all theports I need on a displaythat is probably second to none. And at a price that's half whatmy previous piece would costall in a package that fits my sling baghas been my dream for at least a decade. As always, Saf, thanksso much for having me.- Favorite tech of 2021came from the last bitsof the pandemic lockdown kind of thing. And we were all still reallyinvested in the screenin front of us, and soa dual screen laptopis the one I had to pick. The Zephyrus Duo 15, Ithink is the actual name, the ASUS laptop, the gaminglaptop with two displays.I had to give it back becauseit was a review sample. And I wish that I didnot have to give it back, because I think it costs$5,000 in that configuration. But having two screenswhen you're working, having two screens when you're gaming, and having it all fold upinto something relativelyportable, you just can't beat it.Even if you use a MacBookeveryday like I do,which is great. It's just not as excitingas the Zephyrus Duo,which is, I think, the name.- What's up guys, JonRettinger on SuperSaf TV.And my favorite piece of techof 2021, it's kind of small. It doesn't even look like tech,is this guy on my ring finger. It is the Oura Ring Gen3.I've got sleep issues, this has been amazingfor sleep tracking, formonitoring my health, for knowing what's going on with my bodyand sort of betterunderstanding what I can do.- Hey guys, Colonel Singala here again. And welcome to SuperSaf TV.Honestly, this year, myfavorite piece of techis my seventh wife. And you're wondering, my wife?Yes, I'm talking about the LG WashTower.I mean, that baby is sexy.Combination wash and dry at the same time, does better cleaning thanall my seven wives combined.(grunts) I'm telling you.You know, I can check outthe app, it's fantastic.Unless you can tell them otherwise, let me go and get dirtyfor the LG! (laughs)- What's up, this is AustinEvans for SuperSaf TV.And today I'm talking aboutmy favorite piece of techfrom 2021, which has actuallybeen the M1 MacBook Pro.I'm just going to keepthat nice and smooth, now that I Linused it.I did drop it, it's fine.Look, I know that the newMacBooks are coming soon, but the thing is,this has been such an absolutelyrock solid device all year.I don't care if everyone'sgoing to make fun of me.This thing has been incredible.I'm going to miss the touch bar.I'm going to miss the battery life. And yes, the 14 is on the way,but this has definitelybeen my laptop of the year.- You take my sunglasses,I take your glasses.- Okay, we're going to swapthat back one more time.- This is not working.- I can't see.I couldn't see, that's why I dropped it.- This doesn't work, there you go,this is much better, this is much better.- This is whatI do for SuperSaf TV.This is how much I care.- Drop test.Well, now we know it survives.- It survives. It survives.- It survives!- Excellent,excellent.- Brilliant. Now, before we move on,I'm going to quicklyinterrupt to remind youif you haven't already andyou're new to the channel, then maybe consider subscribingfor more collaborations like this. But more importantly, Iwanted to let you knowthat as a thank you to all of my friendsfor taking part, the adrevenue from this videoas well as the previouscollaboration videowill be going to charity.Last year, we managedto provide 5,000 mealsfor families in need. And this year the ad revenueis going to be going towards Team Seas. Now, if you haven'talready heard of Team Seas,it's an amazing initiativestarted by MrBeastand Mark Rober, and involves thousandsof other creators with the aimof removing 30 million pounds of trashfrom our oceans, rivers, and beaches. So if you'd like to take part, then do share this video and use the linksdown in the description to donate.Right, back to the video.- I'm going with rightto repair more broadly, and since I can't choose a smartphoneand steam deck shipmentsare delayed until 2022,I'm going to take theFramework laptop specifically. It's designed from theground up for every componentto be easily user serviceablewith just a single screwdriver. So in just a few minutes, you can replace a brokenscreen or a dead battery, and even swap out a full keyboardif you accidentally spill a cup of coffee. It is a huge step towards makingtechnology more affordableand more sustainable. And I love their mission somuch that I became an investor.- Hey guys, what's up?This is Jenna Ezarik on SuperSaf TV.And my favorite tech of 2021that was not a smartphonehas to be this right here. This is the Oura Ring Gen3,and this is a sleep tracking device, but it does so much more. This can do heart rate aswell as body temperature,as well as your sleep trends. So it'll kind of tell youso much about your bodywhile you're sleeping, aswell as when you're awake. It works with your AppleWatch so that all of that datawill also import, and it's just been a really cool deviceto kind of help me figure out me.- What is up, guys, this isFaisal Alsaif on SuperSaf TV.Best of tech, 2021,well, I don't think itwas the best of yearsregarding an actual gadgetor a piece of technologythat you would love and carry, and say that this is somethingthat is unique about this year. We're mostly upgrades, updates. Some nice tech like the Samsung Sero, the DJI FPV,but I didn't see something that is, like,so unique to this year.Is it the lack of semi-conductorsthat led to a lack of super gadgets?I dunno, so SuperSaf is,like, the best of the gadgetswe'll carry for next year. That's the only answer Ican come up with, yeah.SuperSaf, you're the coolestgadget to take to next year.So I just categorized you as a gadget.- What's up guys, I'm TomThe Tech Chap on SuperSaf TV.This is a tricky questionbecause there was so much good tech. And actually, for me personally,I bought a Tesla Model 3 this yearand also an a7S III, thiscamera I'm shooting it on,neither of which came out in 2021.But for me, they're mysort of tech of the years. What did come out this year, though,I think is going to bemy choice, is this guy,the MacBook Pro 16 and also the 14.I know lots of people are goingto be saying this as well, but in my eyes, this is thebest laptop in the whole world. And it's a pretty revolutionaryupgrade for the MacBook Pro.And so for me, it's my number one choice. With the M1 Max, with this120 Hertz mini LED screen, the battery life, the performance, just as an all around package. It is incredible, I love it.It's my best friend, don'ttell my wife. (laughs)- What is up, guys, thisis Ashwin here from C4ETechon SuperSaf TV.My favorite non smartphone piece of techfor the year, it's got to bethe Gigabyte AERO 15 2021.It's been the best gaminglaptop I've ever used.Gigabyte's gotten so much right here. The 4K OLED panel onthis is a thing of beautyand the specs, you can'treally complain about a 3080and 11980 HK combo, right? It's solid, the hinge,if you've noticed by now,it's a little iffy, it's a little wobbly, the screen, as a result, but that's not stopping mefrom having a lot offun gaming on this one.Like I said, it's probably the best laptopI've used to date.So it's my pick for nonsmartphone tech of the year.Once again, thanks for having me, Saf.- Hi guys, I am Michael Josh, your gadget matchmaker on SuperSaf TV.My favorite piece of tech from 2021that's not a smartphoneis the Oura Ring three. But I know other peoplehave already talked about itin this video, so I guessI get a second pick, and that would be the Tesla of bikes, the VanMoof X3.Apart from the fact thatthis bike is a looker,I really love its security features. It has Apple's \"Find My\" built in.It has a unique locking system, which makes it difficult to steal. And if someone tries to, thisis how it will sound like.(alarm blaring)Here in New York, thebest way to get aroundis to walk or to take the subway. But with its built inmotor, the VanMoof X3has allowed me to go even further, and to places that I've never been before.- Sit down, everyone,it's Mr. Q from Raqami TVhere on SuperSaf TV.And what's my favorite bit of tech?I almost said the MacBook Proand I still think it's prettyawesome, great battery life, okay, well, I'm not goingto go into that tangent.I'm sure other people musthave said a MacBook Pro,but for me, I thinkwhat stood out the most, the thing that I was mostexcited for and I used a lotis the FX3.It's the a7S Mark III,but in a simpler body, you can say, I lovekeeping things minimal. And the fact that it hasbasically a cage built in,so I don't need to addanything extra and bulk it out. It's pretty awesome. The fact, of course, you'vegot that nice flippy screenas well, now, the fact thatyou've got a smart hot shoeso that you can just goahead and plug in your mikeswithout having extra wires.I just love it all.And of course, indicator, and so on.And of course, thefocus, it's really greatwhen it comes to auto-focus and tracking. So yeah, that's what I choose, the FX3.Who's next?- What's up guys, it's anothergeneric white tech YouTuberhere on SuperSaf TV.And if we're talking aboutwhat my favorite piece of techthat was not a smartphone this year was,it's probably going to be the same answeras a lot of people on here. And that's the new MacBook Pros. Now, usually, I edit myvideos on a Windows PC,and that's because I don't use Final Cut.And so in DaVinci Resolve, the program that I use,I really needed a computer withreally good graphics power. And so that always made me turn to a PC,but the new MacBook Pro,like, 14, for example, which is what I am now usingas my daily editing machine, surprised me and kind of made me madbecause it can edit myfootage and then some, even at the lowest spec model, the $2,000 MacBook Pro 14.And on top of that, notonly edit the footage, but have more battery life by the end, have an SD card slot, anda ton of ports that I need. It's actually just kind of crazy.- Hey, what's up, MKBHDhere on SuperSaf TV.Okay, we're talking favoritetech of the whole year.I'm going to go a little biggerthan probably some otherpeople, what they're saying.I'm going to go Tesla Model S Plaid. The refreshed triple motorModel S performance for 2021.And I'm saying that, Imean, we all know it's fast. It's been a fast car,but it is so much fasterthan we were expecting. And so much faster than otherperformance electric cars, that it's actuallybending the way we thinkabout the future of performance cars.It might actually be electric. You know, you got up to60 miles an hour before, and then started to slow down, there wasn't nearly asmuch hit at highway speeds. This car, it's just built different. It hits different. If you've ever got thechance to drive in oneor feel acceleration in one,ask the driver to punch it.'Cause it does feel likeyou're getting punched.- And there we have it, guys,YouTube Tech Rewind 2021.Some of the best tech of the year,as chosen by some ofyour favorite YouTubers. What is your favoritepiece of tech of 2021?Do let me know down in the comments below, remember, this is parttwo, part one of this videois the best smartphones of 2021.The ones that we choose to use, that videois
