**The Convenience and Cost-Effectiveness of Home UPS Systems**
In today's world, where power outages can occur due to various reasons such as natural disasters, grid failures, or maintenance, having a reliable backup system is essential. One such system that has gained popularity in recent years is the home UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) system. These systems provide a safe and convenient way to protect your electronic devices from power surges and outages.
**The Importance of Choosing the Right Router**
When it comes to selecting a router for a home UPS system, there are several factors to consider. Firstly, the router should be able to handle the power requirements of the system. Most routers come with 19-volt DC output, which is sufficient for most household devices. However, some high-end routers may require more power, and in such cases, it's essential to check the specifications before making a purchase.
**The Resonate One: A Convenient but Expensive Option**
One such router that has been recommended by many users is the Resonate One. This router is known for its convenience and reliability, with a built-in battery that can power devices for up to 12 hours. However, it's worth noting that this router comes at a higher price point compared to other options, with a cost of almost two thousand rupees. While it may be convenient and reliable, it's essential to consider whether the added cost is justified.
**The Zinc One: A More Affordable Option**
Another option that has gained popularity is the Zinc One. This router offers similar features to the Resonate One but at a lower price point of 500 rupees less. The reviewer had been using this router for over a month without any downtime, which suggests that it's reliable and performs well. However, it's worth noting that the reviewer experienced some issues with the product after three weeks of use.
**The Octa One: A Flawed Product**
Unfortunately, the Octa One has received mixed reviews from users. The reviewer had an initial positive experience with the product but later encountered major problems after a complete battery drain. This suggests that the product may not be as reliable as some other options on the market.
**Things to Consider Before Purchasing a Home UPS System**
Before purchasing a home UPS system, it's essential to consider several factors. Firstly, you should assess your power requirements and choose a system that can handle them. You should also consider the cost of the system, as well as any additional features or benefits that may be important to you.
**Conclusion**
In conclusion, home UPS systems can provide a safe and convenient way to protect your electronic devices from power surges and outages. However, it's essential to choose a system that meets your specific needs and budget. The Resonate One and Zinc One are two options that have gained popularity in recent years, while the Octa One has received mixed reviews. Ultimately, the best option for you will depend on your individual requirements and preferences.
**Recommendations**
Based on our review of these products, we recommend considering the following:
* If you're looking for a reliable and affordable option, consider the Zinc One.
* If you're willing to pay a premium for convenience and reliability, consider the Resonate One.
* However, if you experience any issues with a product after purchasing it, be sure to investigate further before making a decision.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi guys this is ranjit and in this video let's talk about uh what is a ups for your wi-fi router and that's sort of become important now because of work from home if you have a broadband connection also if power goes even let's say if you have backup power in your building or something uh generally it comes with back after a minute or two hence your router reboots so you have to wait and interrupt your work so a small ups that you can attach to your router does make a lot of sense and i've been actually testing quite a few products for example first i had purchased this octa one uh then this resonate uh router ups had a hard purchase and just recently even the zinc one that i've uh purchased so let me give you an idea and i'll divide this broadly into three parameters uh who is this especially for uh second who is it not for because if you're a certain user group it might not be for you or even if you have a different kind of router for example i have some high-end routers that simply do not work with this one and third will be the conclusion i love these products which one i can recommend and guys uh i purchased these products i have actually tested them i had purchased this octa1 sometime in around the march period from amazon as you can see from the screenshot uh then this resonate one if i recall i had purchased in me so i had used it for almost two months and uh about just last month i had purchased the zinc one and in fact my router is currently working on that one so i'll share my experience because uh there are a different price point but does it to make sense to buy the most expensive one we'll also answer that but first let's have a closer look at these uh the physical aspects then we'll move to the later part of the video so guys here are the products uh this is the octa one this is the resonate one and uh this is the zinc one the zinc one is currently connected to my what do you say a wi-fi router so i won't disconnect it because my daughter is having some online classes uh so the result comes in this fancy box i would say the packaging this is the best this is the zinc one i don't know no longer have the packaging of this one i'll just keep that to the side and they're very similar i would say if let me just zoom in to give you an idea this is the resonate one but if you notice the zinc one is exactly the same uh so we have led light over here in fact i'm going to shut off the main power from the switch and now actually it is now on ups power uh so the power is not that it is powering like this so again you the router does not switch off if the power goes and now i'm put it back and again this denotes uh what do you say how much so this actually changes the color uh based on the backup so let me show you the resonate one uh exactly the same as i've told you so we have two ports one is output that will go to your what do you say the router and one is the input and uh the input is nothing but uh the power cable that was going to your router will go over here so that's what it is and we just have one switch over here on and off for and if you switch it on on then it becomes like a ups so if even the power goes off it will continue to power uh the device so it's a very simple uh device as you can see this is from the resonate this is from the zinc uh and uh exactly the same i would say both of them octa is a little bit different uh this cable the output cable is actually pre-attached to this one and we have the input and we just have one switch over here i would say in build quality i like the zinc and the resonate one not this one that much though this is slightly more compact i would say uh apart from that in the box you also get some extra cables uh so you can adapt it uh this is what i got with the resonate this cable and these are the two other cables for zinc also it was the same but the zinc one we got a lot more adapters uh as you can see in the box so again connectivity will not be a problem but guys be aware that all of them actually output at 12 volt so make sure your router accepts 12 or 90 of the routers will do that but again if you have some of the higher end routers for example uh this is a wi-fi six router from asus that i have this is actually a 19 volt one and this one simply does not work so again you've got to be careful about that so it's a very simple product i would say just think of this as uh it has having a battery backup inside and uh so whenever power goes so it's essentially supplying the power to the router from the battery so even if power goes uh it will just power from there and in terms of backup i would say the backup is actually pretty good uh they claim about four odd hours of backup base again on your router this is a pretty high-end router again guys uh i think so if it's uh uh average router it will give more backup if it's a high-end router it'll give less backup i tested it for two and a half hours continuously both with the resume and even with this zinc one and it didn't power off so again uh if you are just getting it for uh backup for your society generator is there it kicks in after two or four minutes again backup time is not an issue with any of these products i would say and back up again they claim about four hours again as i've told you guys it will depend on the router uh this is a pretty high end router so this consumes a lot more battery but again if you have a not that fancy router it might even give you about five hours of backup so that's based on the backup so this is the physical overview of the product uh nitpicking i would say on both the zinc and this one we just have one switch over here as you can see this is power on and off okay this is cool you'll see but again if you press this to switch off also then also it will continue to give the power if the main power is coming so essentially if you want to switch off the router you have to do two things you have to switch this off and even switch off the main power so that is so they should have just given one switch over your master on off switch on both these products that is sort of missing uh but in terms of functionality uh both have been performing very well i've used this resonate for over two months uh this zinc one been using it for the last one month continuously it's been powered powering on this router never had a issue so let me tell you my thoughts about this one now and actually let me tell you why i actually got these products actually i have a full-fledged apc ups as you can see from this image it's a big one that i kept down and the thing was that this apc ups works fine with my asus routers other routers no issues when power goes on but for some reason that apc router whenever the power was going off this was getting reset this is the atl extreme gigabit router that i had so every time the power outage was there uh it used to just reset this one i don't know why it was happening so that is the reason i got this and after attaching this one i never had that issue so guys that should give you an idea about the functionality of the very simple product guys basically it has a battery inside and input uh port where your power charges it and the second uh it just goes to the router so it's basically a battery powered ups so that is what it is doing and uh it works i would say but again nothing that special so there is a certain premier uh premium i would say for this one and i would say this is not for everyone for example as i've told you i have that asus high-end router uh that has an input of 19 volts but sadly most of these one this one zinc and even the octa uh they have output of 12 volts so it will work fine for 90 percent of the routers guys so again before buying these products look at the power look at the back of your router and see the power rating it should be 12 volts and again also look at the ampere rating because uh all these products that i had purchased are up to 12 volts up to 2 amps there is also there are some routers that require 2.5 or even 3 amps so again if that's the case you might have to offer the for example resonate i know they also have a model for up to three amps but i think that's pretty expensive i would say and that's that price point i would say buying a dedicated what do you say uh ups from apc or something might be more affordable but yeah again be careful because some of the high-end routers that have 19 volts will simply not work for example my asus 556 router that i showed you uh simply does not work with this one so you have to be aware of that and again now coming to the cost also if you notice them these are sort of expensive especially i would say the resonate one uh this two amp one is almost for two thousand rupees i had purchased and uh i feel that it's a little bit expensive for what they are doing yes it's convenient and it has been very very reliable i would say use this one for almost two and a half months had no downtime during that time so that way it's nice but again it's a little bit expensive of what it is doing and also uh i feel here there is a shortcoming uh let's say you have one modem and you want you know you uh that modem is supplied by your isp and we know generally the isp routers unless it's a high-end one is crap so you might be using another wi-fi router also uh and for that it should have given two output ports but that's not the case so again if you're using a separate wi-fi router then you might have to put in two and then the cost just goes per sec i would say so these are some of the limitations of uh this one so certainly i would say not very cost effective but again in terms of convenience it's very very convenient because it's very very small as you can see so again you just place it down here your router doesn't occupy any space or something like that and reliability it's been fine i would say till now so uh it's not for everyone you got to be careful about it and i would say if you already have a inverter uh home inverter or something generally most of the home inverters in uh in the last four or five years if you have purchased uh can also act like a ups so so if you are already having a home inverter then you might not need this because i've noticed that in 90 of the inverters when the power goes off uh the routers don't get switched off so if you already have an inverter then you don't need this but again let's say you don't have a ups you are in a society where you have backup power generally most of new buildings have backup power but they take that two three minutes for the backup power to come and it's interrupting your work then you can have a look at this but now out of these three products that i've used which one would i recommend which one i want i would say this resonate one perform brilliantly no issues but now it's sort of hard to recommend this one because the zinc one uh that i showed you that i'm currently using is exactly the same as this one in fact the shape everything is almost the same that's for 500 rupees less so i feel that is most cost effective and now i've been using it completely for over a month didn't have any downtime so i feel that's the best value product but i cannot simply recommend this doctor one because after purchasing this one after three weeks i started to have problems with this one what i generally do is do i do try to do long term testing guys uh so this is simply not that reliable i would say so i would not recommend this october what happened is initially it was working fine but i always do that complete battery drain from all these products for first two weeks it worked fine then i decided to at night to shut off the power for the router so that it works on the battery the whole night and by morning it was completely drained and then i started charging it and from that on time onwards this one started giving me major problems which was not the case with this one so in terms of reliability i would say i simply did not like the octa one that way the zinc one and this uh resonate one work perfectly fine uh but again the zinc one is more value for money i would say because that's almost 500 rupees less uh but again uh beware of the uh rating as i've told you your router should be 12 volts and up to two amps so again guys what i'll do is i'll leave the links of these products i had purchased it from amazon so i'll leave the links in the description below so that you can check it out and guys if you use uh what do you say home um some stuff like this that is a router ups or something like that do let me know in the comment section below anyways guys that's it for now thanks for watching this is ranjit and i hope to see you in my next video take care guyshi guys this is ranjit and in this video let's talk about uh what is a ups for your wi-fi router and that's sort of
