DIY Chain Water Bottle Holder: A Creative Solution to Stay Hydrated
As we navigate our busy lives, it's easy to forget one of the most essential things we need to stay healthy and focused - water. Staying hydrated is crucial for our bodies, but sometimes it can be a hassle to carry around a canteen. That's where this DIY chain water bottle holder comes in. This clever creation solves the problem of carrying a bulky canteen, making it easy to grab a drink on-the-go.
The idea behind this DIY project is to create a portable and stylish way to carry your canteen using a chain and some simple tools. The creator uses a pen as a measuring tool to size their chain around a particular water bottle, which is 100% copper and good for sterilizing the water. They also use a TW tone aluminum chain that is lightweight and comes in various colors.
The DIY process begins with measuring the shoulder strap to fit the torso, ensuring the water bottle hangs where desired. The creator cuts four long pieces of chain that can reach from the bottom center of the canteen up and around the top, making sure they're a little longer than needed for trimming later. These four long pieces will form the main skeleton of the chain.
Next, the creator cuts four more pieces of chain that come up about 3/4 of the way up the canteen, bringing the total number of chains to eight. They arrange these chains in a symmetrical shape, with two large jump rings at the bottom and two smaller ones on either side of the center jump ring. This will help create the foundation for the diamond pattern.
The creator connects the long and short pieces of chain using smaller strong jump rings, noting the number of links between the center jump rings to repeat the pattern symmetrically. They start creating the diamond pattern by connecting two of the long pieces next to each other, forming a larger diamond shape with 16 links in between the first jump ring.
As the pattern continues, the creator connects shorter pieces of chain to the center of the diamonds using smaller jump rings. This creates a intricate design that is both functional and stylish. Once all chains are connected, they trim off any excess chain and attach the long pieces to each end of the shoulder strap using strong large jump rings.
The finished product is a beautiful, one-of-a-kind chain water bottle holder that not only keeps your canteen secure but also makes it easy to grab a drink on-the-go. The mixed metals used in this project - copper, black, gunmetal, and silver tone - work together seamlessly, creating a unique and eye-catching design.
The creator showcases their finished product with pride, stating that they are obsessed with how the different metals work together. They plan to use this DIY project throughout the summer and encourage readers to try it out for themselves. With its ease of use and versatility, this DIY chain water bottle holder is sure to become a staple in any outdoor enthusiast's or everyday carry setup.

**Measurements Marked with the Marker**

chain and then we have two two pair of PES here and a wire cutter which will help cut the chain this is going to be hydration on fleek let's do it I'm using the thicker silver tone chain for my shoulder strap and the black for the net part of the purse First Step measure your shoulder strap to fit your torso so that your water bottle hangs where you want it I want mine to be a cross body chain with the canteen at my hip now cut your chain measure and cut four long pieces that can reach from the bottom center of your canteen up and around the top cut a little longer than you need because you can always trim later these four long pieces will be the main skeleton of the chain next now cut four more pieces that come up about 3/4 of the way up your canteen and you will now have eight pieces of chain total place a large thick jump ring down on your table and arrange the four long pieces of chain extending out from the center this will be the jump ring at the bottom of your net holding it all together next place two of your smaller pieces of chain inside two of the long pieces and mirror it on the other side with the remaining two shorter pieces of chain now connect all of your chains onto the large jump ring keeping the order you've laid out place your canteen over the center jump ring to help you measure for the next steps connect one long and one short piece about 1 in up from the bottom of your canteen using a smaller strong jump ring make note of how many chain links between the center jump rings so you can repeat symmetrically in the next step I did eight lengths between jump Rings repeat by connecting the next long and short pieces in the same way now is where you start creating the diamond pattern using two of the long pieces of chain that are next to each other this ends up looking like a net when you're done the amount of links in between your first jump ring will now be doubled to create a large diamond for me I put eight Links of chain between the bottom jump ring and 16 Links of chain to create the larger diamonds now it's time to connect the shorter pieces of chain into the diamond pattern you started with the two long pieces of chain you will be connecting the shorter pieces of chain to the center of the diamond with jump Rings which will mean I will have a jump ring every eight lengths of chain because they fall in between the 16 link segments trim off any excess chain continue this pattern until all of your chains are connected it helps to turn your canteen over and work around the shape because once you connect more chains it will no longer lay flat now connect your four long pieces of chain to on either side together and to each end of the shoulder strap using more of your strong large jump Rings you've created a purse now it's time to trim your excess chain and you're done I am obsessed with how those mixed Metals work together the copper of the bottle and the black and the gunmetal and the gold and it just works so well and I will definitely be using that mark my words this summer because it's just so handy and you can see me prove to you that I'm using it on Instagram and Snapchat cuz I am Snapchat
