Unboxing Project Scorpio: A Console of History

The moment of truth has finally arrived as I carefully lift the lid off my brand new Project Scorpio console. I have to admit, I was a bit nervous about opening it up, not wanting to risk damaging this beautiful piece of gaming history.

As I gaze at the sleek and futuristic design, I'm struck by its sheer beauty. The squared pattern finish on top of the unit is simply stunning, and I can see that it has been plugged in at least once or twice before, as evidenced by a couple of little scratch marks on the surface.

Looking around, I notice the usual array of ports and connectors, including two USBs, an HDMI port, and a power cord. Ah, but what's this? A fiber optic cable and Wi-Fi antenna! This console is clearly designed with cutting-edge technology in mind.

But wait, where's the logo? Is this thing some kind of scam? I search around frantically, relieved to find the familiar Project Scorpio logo emblazoned on the underside of the unit. Crisis averted!

I have to admit, I'm thoroughly smitten with this console. It's not just a pretty face, either - it's built to last and promises some serious gaming power.

Now that I've unboxed my new toy, I'm itching to try it out and see what kind of games I can play on it. Will I use it for live streaming? Only time will tell. My friend Jeff thinks I should stick it in a glass case and leave it alone - but I'm not one to be shy about trying out new things.

As I glance around the studio, I notice that my Xbox One backlog is calling my name. Why not play some of those classic games on my 4K HDR TV? It'll be like a whole new world!

But for now, I want to hear from you - have any of you guys managed to get your hands on a Project Scorpio? What kind of issues have you experienced with it? Do you think it's worth the hype?

And while we're at it, what do I do with my old Xbox One S? Will I stick with it for family gaming nights, or upgrade to something more modern?

For now, I'm just excited to have this beautiful console in front of me. It may not be the most powerful platform on the market (that would be the Series X), but it's a piece of history nonetheless - and I feel lucky to have been able to experience it for myself.

have really good content i like to think sometimes but anyway today we're going to unbox the xbox one x project scorpio oh if and nobody knew i never owned an xbox one x yet i was waiting because i really really really had my heart set on either some really cool version of it or scorpio now when the scorpio first came out me and my buddy jeff we tried everything to get one we can get our hands on it today and i mean literally today i scored one and i won't get into it too much but i actually got this controller with it and some games i wasn't really too crazy on the games but i actually needed four of them so it was kind of neat but this controller here absolutely gorgeous it was one that was on my radar for a while funny enough it was also on my buddy's radar as well it is now in my collection but that is not what the video is about so we're gonna put that down and without further ado we're going to unbox this project scorpio and why was it so cool like what is it that makes this so cool now my buddy has or had even numerous different xbox uh 1x system so i've seen some uh i think uh different versions or variants of it but this is the granddaddy this is the one that started it this was the most powerful console of the timeline and now i finally have it so let's unbox it check it out if you're not subscribed again please subscribe check out my other videos let's get to it so by no means is this new but it is not old does that make sense this unit was literally bought by a gentleman who bought it new about two years or so ago opened it realized she was a playstation guy put it back in the box so i can't really get much newer than that other than i don't get to break the tape so let's check this out so right off the bat we open up the lid where you normally would cut your two pieces of tape and you're greeted with your microsoft 1x pull-out thingy that just tells you how to hook it up and what to do and how to to uh i guess connect your controller to your xbox really cool i like how they do that and i like that it was still then we have the contents box let's just move that out of the way yeah i had gloves i was actually going to use gloves to touch the console i know stupid so of course we did say it wasn't new so you are greeted with i always check for smoke i don't like people that smoke and then smoke in their house and no offense but it's gross when i as a non-smoker get the product so you get a charge cable for your controller which pretty standard your micro usb stay there at least this is all the original stuff so that's really cool because you get the original xbox uh that's the one thing i i really got down on the xbox series x1 didn't unbox unboxing unboxing and it was because it didn't have their logo or anything on the controller cables they didn't on this model either and i thought you know maybe not scorpio on it because that would have been kind of a very limited run and wouldn't you know be cost efficient to do that would have been really cool but they should have put the xbox logo on these cables but they didn't and that really i don't know kind of cheapens it out a little for me especially when this is supposed to be the mack daddy i'm just something the thought something to thought i can't speak sorry people if you follow me you know that i've had mouth surgery and not cool so power cable your standard uh two round pin to power no big deal i'm just going to take these cables and like get them out of the way because they're just kind of cables and then apparently i have another micro usb over time so this is not the original this must have been because of the other game gamepad so that's out of the way and of course in here we have the trusty stand now this is really cool because i actually hunted for a stand for my 1s and it took me a while but we did get them on a really nice clearance i think we paid like two bucks for them so in the end it was definitely worthwhile so i'm just gonna lay this down here so now we have our stand we've seen the cables that would be standard with any of the xbox consoles let's open this up now the one downer i'll call the downer is the controller not that the controller's the downer because it actually is the original project scarlett controller or scarlett i wanna i wish it was a scarlet you can see here uh scorpio right along here if you're buying them and you don't have this controller do not pay more than in my opinion 250 bucks for the console i paid 300 for this one i'll just be flat out honest but i did get two game pads and i do have the original so that's really cool but there was no packaging for the box i think it was a sleeve or something that was down in here that is the only thing that i would say is missing in this the controllers don't have any dirt grime or anything i swear they were not used so really really cool feels really good but other than the logo put on it it really has no extra benefit over any other uh xbox one x or series s or xbox one controller other than it is a current version of the xbox one controllers which is the bluetooth okay so let's take out the console now what's really cool about this is i have not seen it either so i'm here just in awe like i love the box the box is in such great condition and the simplicity of it just black lighter black here dark black x you have your uh xbox logo and project scorpio edition on the box that's another thing i wasn't going to buy this console unless it had the box now that might be seeming petty that i wouldn't buy something doesn't have a box but let's be honest here i am a collector it is the console that i wanted and i now have it and if i would have bought it new i would still have the box so i'm happy that the box is in mint condition because that's very important to me so tape is all still on there we're going to open it up just your regular foams the regular foam so don't mind dropping them because i don't think they'll break but anyway one thing i like of course is the uh the material they put on here i uh take a look at this now oh wow see now i'm looking because i want to know is there any scratches is there any uh issues with it in any way and so far i'm actually pretty much looking at what i think would be a brand new console if the lighting's going to show anything there i don't think there's really a mark on it maybe i should have worn my gloves now a lot of my buddies were wondering am i going to use this console and it's a very good question and i think i'm going to in here in my game office not my game room the game room all already has a xbox uh 1s out there and my kids play that and to be honest i don't do enough out there to justify putting this out into my kids hands i won't use the course you have built-in wi-fi now when looking at a project scorpio one of the things you need to see is the logo right here as well and if that isn't there then someone's scamming you you're not getting a project scorpio so it's absolutely gorgeous i'm i'm very in love with this unit we're going to try and lay it on here just to see if i'm willing to do that i mean it's not a wow factor we all know what this console looks like by now but for me this is like getting a brand new piece of new ish history and i had to see it i wanted to unbox it and show you guys that one i'm proud i mean this is something that i waited a long time for the deal came i got it and i couldn't be happier just let me know what you think did you guys get a project scorpio when they came out comment below please i'd like to know like know your thoughts on it have you had any issues is everything going good these are things that i want to know personally so i know what i'm going for should i use it for live streaming here in the studio um that's that's a great question wanna buy jeff for example says i'm not going to use it he swears up and down you bought that it's going to stay in the box you're going to put away you're not using it because that's kind of how i can be sometimes and he might be right but i have a feeling that i do want to try and use this i do have a lot a lot of backlog on it came out now we have the series x of course that destroys this but all the same i just realized and found out just recently by my lovely neighbor that he told me that the xbox one s after the latest updates of warzone for call of duty and cold war can't play the game they're getting kicked out non-stop him and her for him his friends his wife and he went and graciously gave her his x and no problems whatsoever so we're noticing now as time goes on as upgrades and updates start even though the games are still backward compatible moving forward your console such as your s your xbox one are going to struggle moving forward with updates so you want to be in x or the new series s or series x moving forward and i'm going to continue using my xbox one s for my family as they don't play
