**As a Photographer, I Use This Camera for Photography and Video**

I want to clarify that I did not buy this camera specifically for my YouTube channel. As a photographer, I use this camera for photography purposes, and it so happens that it has a great video feature, which I utilize for videos. I don't think you need any fancy equipment to make amazing videos; as long as you have a decent camera and good lighting, the quality of your video can be amazing. For example, filming by a window with good natural light can create an incredible visual effect.

I also want to emphasize that everyone is different, and what works for me may not work for others. If you're watching this, please don't take away from my message that you need to buy this camera; any camera will do just fine. With the advancements in technology today, you can make amazing videos with anything.

**Scripting Videos and Using iMovie**

I usually script my videos or use an outline, but 70% of the time, I don't follow a script at all. I'm a bit of a freewheeler, and that's just me. I'd say 30% of the time, I do use an outline, but even then, I often deviate from it. My videos are usually spontaneous and raw.

When it comes to editing my videos, I use iMovie. It's free, and I've gotten quite comfortable with its features over the years. The new iMovie update that came with Mavericks is a significant improvement over the old version. It's more user-friendly, and I love the added features. I can feel like I'm doing more with it now.

**Windows Movie Maker and Final Cut Pro**

If you're using a PC, Windows Movie Maker might be an option for you. However, I have to admit that I hate using it. It's just too much of a pain in the butt. If you want to use it, great; but if not, there are plenty of other options available. Final Cut Pro and Vegas are two examples of professional video editing software, but they're definitely not necessary for creating amazing videos.

**Unedited Videos and Scaling**

My unedited videos can range from 5 minutes to a full hour long. Sometimes, I'll film something and then scale it down to fit the intended length of my review videos. It's usually not too bad, but there are times when I need to trim them down even further.

**Filing Videos and Pre-Filming**

I'm one of those people who pre-films their videos regularly. I like to have a plan in place and know what I want to cover before I start filming. It's just my nature, but you don't have to be like that if you don't want to. Just do what works best for you.

**The Time it Takes to Set Up and Upload**

Setting up my equipment takes me around 10-15 minutes, which is the most time-consuming part of the process. However, when I'm uploading the video, that's a whole different story. If I were to upload the video straight away without editing, it would take me around 2-3 hours.
