go to the specs real quick that comes in two different sizes you got 13 inch and 15 inch this is the 15 inch version for the display you got a 15 inch LCD pixel sense panel with a resolution of 30 to 40 by 2160 that is 260 for the PPI Patrol for the processor got a quad core temp gen Intel Core i7 you can either 16 or 32 gigs of ram 256 512 one or two terabytes of storage now for the graphics card you got the nvidia geforce gtx 1660 now you got a 5 megapixel camera in the front and 8 megapixel camera in the rear both of them shoot 1080p video and it also features Windows 10 hello now you got dual front-facing stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Microsoft claims the battery life on this one is 17 hours now I've been using this for over a week I haven't got 17 hours but I definitely got a full day of work over 8 hours so I got no complaints with the battery life alright so let's unbox this to see what it is first things first shout out to white shoes back in the building stop down now if you're gonna buy this I recommend buying two accessories you're gonna need the precision Mouse this is gonna run you 100 bucks and the surface pin this is gonna run you 70 bucks these are must-have accessories all right surface book 3 now this particular version is 16 gigs of RAM 256 gigs of storage with the GTX 1660 graphics card alright so this is a peasant version nice presentation alert on this one let's open it up now like I said this is just for dramatic effect I've been using this for over a week this is a beast all right here's your surface book 3 let's see what else you get it's gonna be a usual books of blocking the bottom to the side this is going to be your charger ok ok charging cable with the plug and that's pretty much it for that now what a surface book itself the build quality done this is out of this world let's just finish unboxing the accessories first now you also got the surface pen okay like I said this is gonna run you 70 bucks which magnetizes to the side you're gonna need this for that double click and also for your drawing I choose I do your thing and lastly we got the precision Mouse 100 bucks on this one nice smooth rolling ruling wheel on this one customizable buttons on the side perfect for gaming was anything else in here ok just 0 micro USB charging cable a USB 8 2 micro USB and that's pretty much it let's see no troll stickers that's alright so let me pause the video I'll set everything up and then we'll run through the OS talk amongst yourselves alright Jos will be back in now before I get into everything that I do like and tell you how much I love this laptop and how much I'm using it everyday and how this is one of my new favorite products there's a couple of things that I don't like so let's talk about those first number one the price now this particular model with the accessories you're looking at around twenty five hundred bucks but if you want maximum storage and maximum RAM you're looking at over three thousand dollars that's a little bit tgh and if you new to my channel that's too goddamn high alright there's a lot of other choices on the market for over three thousand bucks that you're gonna get better processing speeds next the ports now which this one who had a few more ports on one side you got USB type-c this is your plug input you got a headphone jack and on the other side you got two USB aids and a full size SD card slot I like that but I wish I would have had another USB type-c on this side and maybe a headphone jack on the base because I'll show you if you play if you playing video games and you got the headphones wired plugged into this headphone jack the wires gonna be coming across the screen or you have to run it around it would have been nice to have one more port on the bottom next the processing speed again 15 watt I this is a 15 watt quad-core processor which is built into the display which is kind of dope because this way when using it as tablet version and you disconnect the keyboard you're gonna get the same speeds but the downside with that is you capped off at 15 watt quad-core so if you're editing videos whether you're connected to the air base or not the max speed you're gonna get is the 15 watt quad-core processor which is not the best now I'm gonna talk about that in a minute I did a rendering test don't get me wrong this does render videos completely so I'll render the video using this and I rendered the same video with my HP omen X side-by-side The Omen X was twice as fast alright so at this price range if you buying this specifically to render videos or you know create content you might want to give something a little bit more powerful this one is just gonna be a little bit slower but it does work and it does work I just wish that they would have added some cores into the base so this way say you want to render a video you got quad core 15 watts brought in to the tablet part and another quad core built into the base make twice as powerful that would have been sick and I would a man I wouldn't even have minded spending my extra 500 bucks for that much more power because then this could have been my daily work laptop it still is it's just a little bit slower and lastly now this is the same gripe that I got with all of these new laptops coming out the speakers that's when it's advertised as dual front-facing speakers with Dolby Atmos but the speaker sound and eh man day I ID yai ght day I now I'm not gonna say any trash like the Samsung laptops but trust me they not they not the kind of quality that you want on a laptop for 3000 bucks now I know what somebody not gonna say oh here we go again floss you're always complaining about the speakers are you never satisfied you're always complaining about the speakers let me show you why alright so we're gonna do a quick side by side sound comparison and this way you'll understand why I'm spoiled with macbook speakers on the left we've got the 16 inch MacBook on the right got the surface book 3 here's the surface book so this is max volume here's the MacBook you see what I'm saying won't you use a Macbook all of the speakers are gonna sound like garbage and you're gonna be complaining let's keep it moving all right so now even with those couple of gripes that I have this is still one of the best products that I bought in a long time I literally love this surface book 3 put your reasons number one I can do all of my work on it all of my business work all of my video creations all of my music creations gaming I can do all of my work on this and rock this for a full day as a laptop and I can also use it as a tablet so this is one of the best tool ones that I've seen yet let's break it down first up the build quality now this is one of the things that I love about this the most the build quality on this is amazing all right this is a now this is not a little kiddie laptop this big is heavy it has that aluminium feel to it this is a man's book right here hey fellas you're gonna like this one ladies are gonna like this too but like I said this is big and heavy it's crazy you got the two rubber stoppers that go all the way across the bottom that's gonna keep it in place like I said you've seen all the reports got your hinge on the back and this passes the one hand open test with flying colors check that out one hand open no lifted off the table at all now once you open this up you got your Windows 10 hello bong just like that now no fingerprint sensor but the Windows 10 hello works so good you're not gonna need I works in the daytime or in the evening so if you're sitting around with light outside are you sitting inside in the complete darkness the windows have low is gonna work fully functional backlit keyboard I don't know if you can see that or not let me try - there it is check this out you got three levels that's max brightness let us take the best test but I'll need to turn the lights off just know the backlit keyboard on this is super-bright you're not gonna have any problems seeing this speaking of the keyboard I love this I love how big this spaces right here I even though the trackpad in the middle not the biggest I love how you can rest your hands on this fully and get your type on excellent key travel nice clicky sounds I love this keyboard alright like I said the build quality on this is one of the reasons why I love this laptop and on the side note if you're sitting in a room and you got your air conditioner on and you're using this for a long time every time you touch this it's gonna have that cold Helle iminium feel to it I love it alright the build quality in this I'm a build quality kind of guy this in the MacBook some of the best built qualities that you're gonna see I just wish they would have dropped some speakers right here some big giant front-facing speakers that would have been sick but if you get this connected to a Bluetooth speaker you're gonna be good to go next up keep in mind now this is a laptop and a tablet so you hit that detach button check this out bro now you got a 15 inch tablet alright this is a 15 inch tablet that works alright check out the surface Sony Vegas this is what I use to edit and upload all of my YouTube videos it's running perfectly fine on the laptop so I'll just add another clip same thing I would do for my desktop drag it and drop it and watch this through try to hit render and there is no problems so I can do all of my work stuff and all my play stuff and I can also game on this which I'm going to show you in a second now like I said earlier the only downside is the 15 watt processor is built into the tablet part so the rendering speed on this is a little bit slower this video right here might take about 40 minutes to fully render as opposed to 20 on my HP omen X but still when I travel I don't gotta carry that big omen X now I can just carry this we wrote everyone's one percent already now one of the best things I love about this is the gaming experience and I want to show you that real quick all right so we're gonna play some Xbox Live killer instinct now I just saw dim the lights a little bit so you can get the full effect I plugged in their control up and I connected a Bluetooth speaker so let's get some volume on this okay cuz it later you think you need maximum volume here we go using my controller how sick is this and I start off with a little J go graphics card is handling this like a boss here we go yeah so in a little bit now a little bit of rusty on this and I kind of bear with me here we go do bags real quick let's go let's go yo this is so sick freak your path ends here oh I love this alright I'm gonna give you got one more I'm gonna give you got one more I wanna get over the glaciers here things about this using the pen let's click it one more time right to notes and let's get a new note if you rest your palm on the screen you can still fully write with no issues watch this call me back at seven one eight three three nine one one four to rest your palm and still full you've taking notes and when you're done erase just like that and a double click capture it a little region right there you can title this if you want or just start writing on it and taking your notes I love this alright so one last thing now here's how it's gonna look in tablet mode if you're chilling in your bed getting you scumbag activities on or just watching Netflix let's see this bullet bar star trek let's see what episode was yet all right this is click on a random one now here's how it's gonna look Surface book three is a major major major go I'm able to edit videos produce all my beats play video games and do all my office work on a laptop that's also a tablet this is the best two-in-one out
