Apple Watch Band Review: A Mixed Bag

As I unwrapped the new band for my Apple Watch, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and curiosity. The band itself feels pretty great, with a sleek design that complements the watch nicely. However, my expectations were slightly tempered when I realized it didn't come with a $100 price tag - which was a letdown given the premium feel I was expecting.

The band's nylon material does have its pros, but unfortunately, it also has some major drawbacks. The clasp itself is molded plastic, which doesn't exactly scream "premium quality". The overall impression is one of mediocrity, and at $100, I wouldn't expect anything less from Apple. That being said, the colors are nice - especially the pink one, which I find to be particularly vivid and eye-catching. However, as much as I'd love to give it a pass, the band's cheap feel is something that would deter me from purchasing it.

In contrast, my experience with the nylon bands has been decidedly different. The colors are indeed nice, but the overall design and build quality leave a lot to be desired. It's hard not to feel like Apple was trying to cut corners on this one, which is disappointing given their reputation for producing high-quality accessories.

Moving on from the watch band, I took a look at the new iPhone case announced by Apple. Unfortunately, my initial impressions were underwhelming - particularly with regards to color accuracy. The case looks more like a cheap knockoff of a BMW M3's Phoenix Gold C color than an actual Apple product. That being said, the cover itself feels premium, and I do appreciate the sleek design. It's clear that Apple is trying to produce high-quality accessories for their iPhone models.

One accessory that did catch my attention was the new USB-C charging cable announced by Apple. This is a game-changer for users who want faster data transfer speeds and higher charging speeds on the go. With the ability to charge your device at the same time as transferring files, this cable promises to make our lives easier in the long run.

Finally, I took a look at the new Apple leather case announced for the iPhone SE models. The design is sleek and classy, with a comfortable fit that's perfect for everyday use. One thing that stands out about this case is its attention to detail - from the way it fits snugly around the phone to the subtle stitching on the edges, it feels like a well-crafted accessory. other accessories like a fast charger so let's get to it all right so here we've got all of the stuff I'm going to go through it real quick before showing you so obviously we have the millanes loop the new black one this was long rumor to be an upgrade I'm a bit disappointed Apple didn't release the new Apple watch s model upgrade but here are all the new bands lots of colors here here are the SE cases coming in two colors and here is a new color for an existing leather case there are four new colors I believe this one's really great it's Merry gold looks awesome very Vivid something I probably wouldn't use but I wanted uh to show you guys anyways so these guys are cool these will fit your old 5S awesome one of my favorite cases actually over here when it comes to cables this is probably the most exciting thing right here Apple now officially has a fast charger for the iPad Pro it goes from USBC from uh the new Macbook adapter actually to the iPad Pro and it'll charge it one of the big issues with the iPad Pros is that when you charge them and you're using the iPad it doesn't charge it goes into the negative and it can die on you while you have have it plugged into the original iPad charger I think that's really really funny so this is a solution to a problem a lot of people seem to have and these guys so the new USB 3 adapter that Apple showcased at their keynote pretty much for higher transfer speeds and a lightning adapture as well so couple other smaller things but let's get to the juicy stuff and take a look at the new bands all right so let's pop this guy out of here fortunately I don't think this one comes with $100 inside but here it is so the new band that feels pretty great I mean I've never been a fan of these but let's pop it into this watch and see how it looks all right so here is the band it actually is really nice really Sleek you know definitely what I wanted though I kind of wanted MacBook upgrades but having Apple watch upgrades as well I feel like I might have put this on wrong maybe just all right works fine I mean if you're an Apple Watch guy it's a nice band to have let's check out the nylon ones all right and here are those so you know upon first taking these out of the box the impression isn't good they're very cheap they feel very cheap I mean of course it's nylon it's not anything premium like leather but the clasp itself is molded plastic this is really not something I would expect from Apple so it doesn't feel very you know it doesn't feel worth the price honestly but the colors are nice I really like the pink one it's got a very nice and Vivid Pink So I'm showing you the back size right now flip flip them over and uh you know it's it's kind of cool something retro something that reminds you of Apple in the early days being creative colorful um they're nice you know but honestly I I don't know the impression I get is just something I wouldn't wear with an Apple Watch $350 $400 you just want it to feel expensive and this certainly takes away from the price and the feeling but if you're going to buy any buy this pink one I really like the colors on it very Vivid and nice but man the class you'll know what I'm feeling if you ever buy one of these you just feel it right here it feels like this is going to be the point of failure it's going to break up here but hey everyone has their own style and likes and all that all right so let's take a look at this new iPhone case in the color which looks pretty dang nice already oh what huh this doesn't look like the cover uh maybe it's my lighting or something but that looks puke Brown I don't even know oh my gosh I do not like this already it looked so much better in the pictures uh but hey it's a it's a cover these things are very premium they feel nice what the heck man is it just me tell me is it just my eyes or does this not look like the cover right here the color is off and I'll try and rotate it but if you guys know BMW M3s at all this is the Phoenix Gold C color looks just like it it looks like a baby puke color but that's just funny I don't know apple is a little underwhelming with all all these accessories so how about the SE maybe this will be something nice let's check out this blue one okay so hey here's something a little bit more reasonable it's very classy I got a 5S right here let's pop this guy in here they're the exact same dimensions so these will fit you know just as they should this case reminds me of my first 5S stood in line for so dang long to get it I had the tealish blue leather cover and man this has got to be one of the most comfortable phones to use and hold and with this case I would highly recommend you get an Apple leather case for your SE or 5S whichever you may have so that's an awesome case two new colors for the SE models cool all right and the very last thing I wanted to touch on was this charger so it's uh I think we might be seeing something like this in a future iterations of the iPhone so USB B3 to lightning allows for higher data transfer speeds and charging speeds will be higher so possibly something in the iPhone 7 USB 3.0 would allow for faster charging finally catch up to some of the Android competitors but this is a really you know much much needed creation from Apple a lot of users will be happy to get this with their iPad Pro only for 12.7 in keep that in mind and these last two pretty straightforward USB transferring photos data whatever and a little lighning port in there so you can charge at the same time SD card reader just some simple iPad accessories
