**New Year's Book Resolutions: Taking Control of My Reading Journey**

As I sit down to write about my New Year's book resolutions, I can feel a sense of excitement and motivation wash over me. This year, I've decided to take control of my reading journey and set some achievable goals for myself. First and foremost, I want to talk about the books that are on my radar for this year.

**Reading More Books**

I've heard nothing but marvelous things about certain books, so I'm determined to read them as soon as possible. One book that's been at the top of my list is SLS series by [Author]. I plan to reread and enjoy every page of it because I've heard great things from fellow readers. This year, I also plan to dive back into the Harry Potter series, which has become a favorite of mine over the years. I used to read them so much when I was younger, and now that I'm older, I feel like it's time to jump on the bandwagon again. My goal is to reread books 1 through 4 with a group of friends who share my passion for reading, and then move on to books 5 through 7 this summer.

**Breaking Out of My Comfort Zone**

One of my biggest goals for this year is to read more adult books, which I know may sound strange given my love for young adult novels. However, as I've grown older, my tastes have shifted towards more mature and complex stories. I'm excited to explore new genres and authors that will challenge me in different ways. Fantasy is another genre that I'd like to delve into more deeply this year, although I must admit that the sheer amount of detail and world-building can sometimes overwhelm me.

**Setting a Reading Goal**

This year, I've set myself a modest yet ambitious goal: to read between 30 and 35 books. I know it's a lofty target, but I'm determined to reach for the moon and see what I can accomplish. I'll need to be disciplined and focused if I want to meet this goal, but I'm confident that I can do it.

**Non-Bookish Resolutions**

While my book resolutions are at the forefront of my mind, I also have some non-bookish goals that I'd like to tackle this year. One of these is budgeting with my husband and making a conscious effort to save more money. We're already pretty frugal, but we want to take our savings game to the next level by moving into a bigger house and investing in our future. Another goal of mine is to avoid spending any money on books that I buy myself – instead, I'll use gift cards, coupons, and apps to fund my reading habit.

**Tips and Tricks for Frugal Reading**

I'd love to share some tips and tricks with all of you on how to save money on books without sacrificing your love for reading. From using Amazon gift cards to taking advantage of survey rewards, there are many ways to make reading more affordable while still enjoying the experience. If you're interested in learning more about my favorite frugal reading strategies, I'd be happy to share a video or blog post with all of you.

**Connecting with Fellow Bookworms**

Before I wrap up this article, I want to invite all of you to join me on this journey and share your own New Year's book resolutions. What are some books that you're eager to read? Are there any challenges or goals that you'd like to tackle in the world of reading? I'd love to hear from you and connect with fellow book lovers who share my passion for reading. "WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhello everyone today I'm here to do a tag today's tag is going to be the new year book utions tag if I'm pronouncing that correctly this was made by books beauty airly I'm so sorry if I'm pronouncing that wrong because I probably am but anyway these are questions about like what your plans are to read for the new year and all that kind of stuff and I thought it'd be fun to do because nothing's better than accountability right maybe this will make me read all these books I say let's hope so question number one is a series I plan to begin and there's a lot but the one series I really want to start this year is going to be the Talon series by Julie Kagawa Julie Kagawa has also wrote The Iron face series which I have read and it's not my favorite because I'm not a huge fan of fairies but um she also wrote The Immortal rule series which I have read the first book of I haven't read this second book yet but I really love that one and this one is all about dragons so I thought I'd pick it up and yeah you know as much as I didn't like her iron face series cuz it's about fairy she does have good writing and I do enjoy her writing style so I'm hoping to really like this one there's several other series I think I playing the store as well but this is the one that comes to mind most frequently question number two is a series I plan to finish this one I chose a Trilogy and I read the first book in it and that the burn for burn Trilogy so I still need to read fire with fire and Ashes to Ashes this is by Jenny Han and S oh crap I always say this wrong not saone Vivian I know I'm pronouncing it wrong I memorized it at one point but forgot because my brain's stupid so yeah if you guys don't know about this Trilogy it's almost like Pretty Little Liars but better cuz I like pretty LS but I mean we going on the 10th book of that like let's end it anyway this is just a Trilogy so I plan to finish this one and I love burn for burn like I didn't give it five stars but I get it four so I really liked it so I plan to finish this series SL Trilogy I also plan to finish a duy this year it's The Uninvited duy I've read the first one Uninvited by Jordan and I forget what the second one's called and it's coming out next month I believe but I plan to finish that one as well those are the only two series I can think of right now that are ending what is the Raven cycle ending this year I plan to finish that one also The Darkest Minds Trilogy I still have not read in the afterlight I don't know what's wrong with me because I love the darkest mind Trilogy I just haven't had the time to read it yet I don't know why question number three is a book I putting I've been putting off year after year of reading and I'm falling in to read it this year I wouldn't say this is year after year but I've been putting off reading it for like a year I would say and that is crested by Marissa Meer and you're probably like jawdropping because it's Marissa Meer both and everyone jumps to it and I did at the beginning when it first came out but then I just didn't finish it and that wasn't because it bad writing I don't know what happened at the time and I just haven't picked it up yet and I really need to stop putting it off and read it because I've heard nothing but marvelous things about this book so I need to Buck Up and read it because I just need to number four is a book SLS series I plan to reread and that's going to be Harry Potter I did it last year I did it with a group of friends here on book two called the summer of spells where we just reread or read Harry Potter in the summertime and I read books 1 through 4 and I plan to read books 5 through 7 this summer hopefully I'm going to at least try to r one I've been trying to ReRe the Harry Potter series for forever CU I used to read them so much when I was younger like I read them at least five times each at least but now I haven't read them since probably I was like 17 so it's time it's high time to jump on that number five is the genre of books I want to read more there's so many I find myself getting in a rut with books I just read sometimes the same down over over again because it's just my comfort zone you know and it's nice to take a step out of your comfort zone so this year I'm really trying to focus on more adult books because yes I do love ya books and I will always love ya books but I think I'm starting to get into more of adult books now because my life's changing I'm growing up you know I'm getting older gray hair is happening yeah it's true it's true but I just really want to read more dope books um also with that with different genres I want to try to more read more fantasy because I do love fantasy but I get somewhat daunted by fantasy because of just the the background and story detail and it's all a little too much for me but I really like fantasy and I really want to read more of that so I would say those would be my top two is more adult books and more fantasy books question number six is the number of books I want to read this year and I think my number is anywhere between 30 and 35 I kept it very low this year because of reasons um but yeah I think 30 35 is a high goal for me I don't know if I'll be able to accomplish it but I'm reaching for the moon here so hopefully I can do it question number seven is one of my non- bookish resolutions um this year I think me and my husband are very focused on budgeting this year we're focused on trying to save up and you know maybe move to a new house get a bigger house because we have a baby now and they take up all the room you think you have a nice house a nice big house and the baby comes and it's like wait where's my stuff oh it's all the baby stuff now but one of our goals is know to save and to be very more frugal we're pretty Frugal but we want to be really Frugal this year to help save and I know some people don't like that some people like it um we're like you can get Amazon gift cards from that you can use apps to get gift cards from that like I try not to spend any of my own money for books I just use all that kind of stuff so if you guys want a
