**Hot Hardware Unboxing: AMD Ryzen Thread Ripper Test Equipment**
Hello everyone, Marco Chipeta from Hot Hardware here to show you a huge pile of really hot hardware that's just arrived. Our AMD Ryzen Thread Ripper test equipment has finally made its way to our doorstep, and I have to say, the shipping box is absolutely incredible. The components inside are so cool that I had to show them to you right away.
As we opened up the box, we were greeted by a Plexiglass cutout with the AMD Ryzen Thread Ripper logo and some quick wording that reads: "Components you need to create the ultimate desktop platform unlocked unrestrained uncompromising." This is really cool, and I'm excited to share it with you.
Let me slide this part of the box out of the way because it's showing some glare from my back door. Now, as for the components themselves, we've got two dual-channel G.Skill Trident Z RGB memory kits that look incredibly impressive. Behind these memories is the awesome Asus ROG Zenith Extreme X399 motherboard, which is another really high-end board from Asus. Above that, we have the Gigabyte X399 Aorus Gaming 7, another top-notch board from Gigabyte.
Now, powering all these goodies will be a Thermaltake Tough Power Grand 1200W power supply, keeping Thread Ripper cool is a Thermal Flow Ring 360 All-in-One liquid cooler. These parts are going to make the foundation of our test system, and I'm eager to see how they'll perform.
**Unpacking the Customized Ryzen Thread Ripper Box**
Now, let's open up that really cool customized Thread Ripper box and see what's inside. Our AMD Ryzen Thread Ripper processors showed up in this hardened case, complete with a cool badge on the corner of the case. I'm going to have to zoom in to show you what's on there, so bear with me for just a moment.
As we can see from the picture, that little badge is actually etched with the Hot Hardware logo, which is absolutely awesome. This customized box is not only cool but also functional, as it allows us to open up and inspect our Thread Ripper processors without damaging them.
Let's take a closer look at what's inside this box. On the left side of the case, we have the AMD Ryzen Thread Ripper 1950X processor, which is a 16-core, 32-thread processor that promises incredible performance. Next to it is the AMD Ryzen Thread Ripper 1920X processor, a 12-core, 24-thread processor that's just as impressive.
But what really makes this third processor stand out is that it's customized with the Hot Hardware logo, which is etched directly into the processor itself. This is an incredible piece of hardware engineering, and I'm excited to see how it will perform in our tests.
As we can see from the picture, this processor does open up when you press on the case, revealing a beautiful, custom-designed interior that's both functional and visually stunning. The LED lights within the case are also pretty cool, creating a unique effect that adds to the overall design of the box.
**Lighting Up the Ryzen Thread Ripper Box**
Finally, I had to kill my lights to show you one more cool feature of this packaging – AMD actually lighted up the Ryzen Thread Ripper boxes from behind. Let me hit this switch here, and you'll see the lights turn on as we hit the switch.
When the lights are turned on, it creates a funky eyeball-like effect that's both mesmerizing and beautiful. This is an incredible piece of design work, and I'm impressed by how well AMD has integrated lighting into their packaging.
As I mentioned earlier, our goal is to get this stuff opened up and built as soon as possible. We've got a lot of exciting things planned for these processors, so stay tuned for more updates from Hot Hardware.
