**Book Recommendations**
If you liked "The Raven Boys" by Maggie Stiefvater, then you would love "Six of Crows" by Leigh Bardugo. These books are just so fabulous and not only do they both deal with birds, black birds which I think is weird, but they're really unique in their own right. They both deal with this amazing cast of characters that you can't help but fall in love with. It's just a group that becomes like this family that you want to be a part of and you want to be a part of everything that they're doing. In "Six of Crows," the characters are on a quest to find this Welsh King, whereas in "The Raven Boys," they're completing this whole huge heist. Both books though unique and one's more fantasy, one's kind of more magical realism paranormal um, but they're both so similar yet so unique but they're so fantastic.
If you liked "Just One Day" by Gail Foreman, then you would love "The Geography of You and Me" by Jennifer E. Smith. Now this book is a little bit more of an intense version of "Just One Day," I would say um this one doesn't Focus so heavily on the romance it's more on finding yourself and kind of um how when you move from like high school to University you have to kind of relearn everything and you become this independent person and you have to really learn how to get to know yourself. If that makes sense, so this focuses a lot in self-discovery whereas this book focuses more so on the romance and it's more cheesy and corny not quite as good as "The Geography of You and Me" but still it's a solid book and this book really helped me get out of my reading slump.
Both of these books deal with traveling around the world, which is just really cool to me. The whole duology in "The Geography of You and Me" is just taking place all around the world, which I love and this one deals with all that traveling and romance they combine and that's really the main similarity between the two of these books.
If you really liked "Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe" by Benjamin Alire Sรกenz, then you would love "More Happy Than Not" by Adam Silvera. Now I will admit I'm not done with this book yet, but this second like I finished I'm not even very far through, but I finished the first chapter and I just it reminded me so much of um this book like so much but in a good way, like not that it's copying it but the fact that like it has um it deals with race and class issues and sexuality issues and um it has this character who's really trying to find themselves and they're in a really weird like the writing is really weird and the whole situation is really weird. The writing is really great though, so both of these books I think are just so similar and I'm really enjoying this one so far um but they're really just solid reads that deal with a lot of complicated issues.
If you liked "The Lost Hero" or the whole Heroes of Olympus series by Rick Riordan, then you would love "Etiquette & Espionage" or the whole finishing school series by Gail Carriger. So this is kind of like this one deals with mythology but it's basically kind of like it's a camp more so than it's a school. I love the idea of having these students or like you know peers who it's just this crazy cast of characters that go on all these adventures together and they're just really super fun. The characters are really sarcastic, the books are really humorous and they take you on this really just thrill ride.
In conclusion, if you liked "The Raven Boys," then you would love "Six of Crows." If you liked "Just One Day," then you would love "The Geography of You and Me." If you really liked "Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe," then you would love "More Happy Than Not." And if you liked "The Lost Hero" or the whole Heroes of Olympus series, then you would love "Etiquette & Espionage."
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey everyone it's Haley and today I'm going to be doing the if you liked this tag so I've actually done two of these videos in the past I did one way back in the day in my old setup and then I did one um around August sometime last summer and basically the premise of this tag is that you take a book and you say basically if you liked this book then you would like this book because like this book reminds you of that book it's kind of hard to like explain when you're putting it into words so I'm just going to go ahead and you guys will get the point of it as I go along so first up if you liked fan Girl by rainbow rowel I think that's how you say her last name you guys always get mad at me for saying it wrong I just can't pronounce it for some reason but if you liked fan girl then you would like the unexpected everything by Morgan Matson now I absolutely adore Fang girl and I think this book is just so great it's one of my favorites and then I recently read the unexpected everything and I just absolutely fell in love and I found that the books were really reminiscent of each other because they deal with meta fiction um in this book it's the main character who's the writer in this book it's um the love interest who's the writer but they both incorporate the story that the character is writing into the book um if that makes sense so this will have passages from the fanfiction that kath is writing and this one has um not as many but it has passages from the book that or um any of the books that the one character character is writing and it is just so good like I love having that extra narrative in there because I think it takes the story and puts it on a whole new level and you get to know the characters and like you get to see their story through the story that the character is writing if that makes sense I just love the idea of having writers being written about I just think it's fabulous and both of these books are super fun they have great love interest they have writing in them and they're just really really great next up if you liked Between Shades of Gray by Rua Petes then you would really like rose Under Fire by Elizabeth wine so these books both are historical fictions that take place during World War II but they both follow different stories except they both take place in concentration camps so this one follows the struggle of lithuanians and the um Lithuanian genocide and this one takes place in Poland and it follows an American who has been captured and she was a pilot really if you like any historical fiction you would love both of these books especially if you love World War II historical fiction and you would love Coden Name Varity as well um which is the first book in this duology these books are just so fabulous and what I love about these two in particular is the fact that they are just so unflinchingly honest and they don't sugarcoat the story they don't sugarcoat anything that happens in these camps even though they're ya I find that ya historical fiction um when it's dealing with brutal events it kind of of tends to gloss over them but this brings those events to the Forefront and really just talks about them and it's really great you fall in love with the characters and you fall in love with the writing the writing is fantastic for both of these books these books are just so amazing and I highly highly recommend them next up if you liked the fonar Stars by John Green then you would love everything everything by nicoa Yun now the fonar Stars obviously you've probably heard of it it deals with um two main characters who have cancer and this book also deals with teens with illness and I think that the way that both of them deal with it is really interesting it's kind of the idea of live your life um despite that and kind of overcoming the illness and I like the fact that the books neither of these books I think are about their illness I think they become about the characters which is really great because the characters are able to stand separate from their illnesses um and I just think that both of these books are beautifully written they're really fun at the same time they're really really sad but they're just overall really great next up if you liked the Raven Boys by Maggie St then you would like six of crows by Lee bardugo these books are just so fabulous and not only do they both deal with birds black birds which I think is weird I just realized that um they're really unique in their own right but they both deal with this amazing cast amazing and I love them both this one deals more so with female friendship um but I think that both of these books are just similar but unique but so amazing so those are all of my if you liked this recommendations let me know if you liked these um if you've read any of these books your thoughts on them I'll probably do another video like this sometime in the future because I really like making
