The Extra Mile with Chad Chronister

Chad Chronister, Sheriff of Hillsborough County in sample Florida and one of the narrator's best friends on planet earth, is responsible for this whole spectacle today. The narrator welcomes Chad and invites him to join them at Food Network's YouTube channel for a special episode of The Extra Mile. Chad promises to bring his food truck with some exciting treats from Tampa, which is known as one of the greatest food cities in America.

James, the congratulations winner of People's Choice best new restaurant in Tampa, joins the narrator and Chad at the set. James explains that his restaurant's motto is "contemporary Italian cuisine" with a focus on fresh flavors and styles that appeal to everyone. He highlights some signature items on the menu, including the veal chop, which he recently had for dinner and loved. The chef describes how the dish is prepared: seared on the outside and then cooked in the oven to finish it off, served with arugula, lemon vinaigrette, and a slice of real cheese.

Chad Chronister takes over the conversation and invites James to show them some behind-the-scenes footage of his restaurant. As they visit James's kitchen, Chad expresses admiration for the chef's work and asks him about the inspiration behind his dishes. The narrator chimes in with their own opinions on the menu, praising its variety and quality.

The conversation shifts to food trucks, as Chad mentions that he'll be taking the group to a fishing spot in the Gulf of Mexico after filming wraps up. The narrator teases Chad about being a "bad guy" for bringing a truck full of tasty treats, but Chad laughs it off and invites everyone to try some of his favorite sandwiches.

The food truck order is revealed: Italian-style sandwiches, including a Genoa capicola and mortadella combo, as well as a muffuletta. The narrator tries the Italian sandwich and raves about the cold cuts from all over Italy. Chad shares stories about his restaurant's history and how it has become a beloved institution in St. Petersburg.

As the group prepares to head out to the fishing spot, they stop by another food truck, where they sample some fresh seafood, including sashimi-quality yellowtail. The chef explains the preparation method used for the crudo dish, which involves curing the fish with lemon juice and olive oil. Chad tries the dish and praises its freshness and flavor.

The episode concludes with a visit to the fishing spot, where Chad takes the group out on the water and shares his knowledge of the Gulf's ecosystem. The narrator thanks Chad and James for joining them on this special episode of The Extra Mile, and invites viewers to smash that like button and turn on those notification bells for future episodes.
