looks it immediately is identifiable as a hummer although it also looks really futuristic which is not something hummers could say ever before but now this one looks just insane take that dinosaur get out we're talking about the future here hummer in the grill there in the light bar and then when you're charging this is actually really cool if i lock it then as if i'm going away it will show the charge on the headlight which i think is really neat i dropped it off it had about two bars and now we're up to over half the quick detail on the front the headlights are not actually part of the full bar the headlights are down here i love the front end to look again i think very immediately recognizable as a hummer we could do the math with the aspect ratio but let me see here yeah 35 i would say right maybe 34. 34. okay 34. the hummer is an eight lug as you can see now i'm guessing that means they are just using the axles from their big trucks the hds um but they could be different maybe they are unique to the hummer i'm not sure essentially the same tailgate as the gmc trucks with the multi-pro if you press the little button that part comes out you could put like a 2x4 or something in the back that could hang out here and then you don't have to worry about it sliding side to side or hanging way off the bed that's kind of neat and then if you put that up press that button the whole thing comes down and you can still hit this though and then do that and you can have a step up in bed in the hummer it's all right i kind of thought the multi pros were gimmicky but i could see how it's useful this one has the speaker built into the back the ultimate tailgate machine you've got your your tailgate your multi-pro you got your power outlet here and you have a built-in speaker for all of your sweet tunes ladesh this is not going to be the only version of the hummer this is the truck version like all the hummers had a truck version h1 h2 h3 and they will have a wagon version as well now i don't think they're building a slant back but that'd be kind of badass the back seat nothing really special back here pretty simple you do have seat controls and all that you got your little fault down cup holders you have storage there fold up the seat and one really cool thing though the floor mats have the moon kind of topographic topographical map on it and this thing the only weird part is this slides around a lot like it's very and i don't see a way to kind of hold it down now for the boring stuff let's get to the action and that is all up front this is where you want to be and we'll turn her on and she is on florida you ready i guess three two oh my god oh my god i found that for me it's really easy to use the voice command because i'm not used to gm's interface yet so that if i need anything i jus i press that and it tells me really easy to just use that button if you're kind of confused as to what's going on on the screen you have all your cameras here now one cool thing about the underside camera if i can find it is this has a washer in case it gets muddy i think that is so freaking cool no diff nothing is hanging down under the truck makes it really good if you're actually going to use it on a trail the whole moon theme continues on the screens as well you can see the moon graphics here with the little lines on it the map lines there your compass and on the big screen now let me show you here very awesome when you change modes with the dial when you change the mode it shows the hummer bursting through like an invisible wall there was a i don't know if you saw the drone there like an invisible wall in a video game that you can't get out of but the hummer can because it's that badass see the drones scanning the hummer kind of like a legal disclaimer it says kicking up dirt absolutely paved roads no respect the watts i don't know why like oh you can only use this mode off-road i don't know what the big deal would be using it on-road but they have that there they're all neat but my favorite one by far is the towing mode because you can see the hummer towing a saturn v rocket i actually don't know i'm guessing that's what it is i'm not a rocket expert but that is really cool i love that detail i'm a huge sucker for easter eggs i love when companies do that and that's one of my all-time favorite ones right there another really cool easter egg if you press auxiliary um i forget how to get to that screen here i got it so if you go into auxiliary and you press the modify button you can scroll down and see some pretty cool things here you have like a sasquatch frankenstein uh loch ness monster that's all cool and whatnot uh hummer on big wheels my favorite one though when you scroll all the way to the bottom here you have your t-rex and a raptor being taken out by a hummer asteroid so clearly a dig at ford and dodge there i would in ram i would think and then you have a hummer splashing dirt and rocks and mud onto a t-rex as well so i think that's really cool and i didn't really see anyone else mention that in a video review i do like the outside styling but the inside is sweet you can take off the roof panels same exact roof material as my zr1 so i'm very used to that like if you have a corvette with a clear roof you will be used to this because it's the same exact material for sure the outside of the hummer is very cool but the inside even better i have bought in they got me hook line and sinker here with the cool the moon design i am a huge sucker like i said for easter eggs and design and the fact that they have this one like the space missions i mean i'm all into that i'm very into that kind of stuff i feel like pretty much every guy is and most gals as well white and black like the rockets and the gold bronze for the the heat foil protection thing i don't even know what it's called and then this is a really really awesome detail that map there on the speaker the speaker cover it's an area of the moon called the sea of tranquility and the footprint there is where the actual pod landed i think that's incredible something most people won't even know but now you do you've got the drone up because i wanted to show you guys a really cool little demo of just how practical the hummer ev can be even though it's very large you can see from the top down that it's easily as large if not a little bit bigger maybe a little wider than bobby's full-size silverado zr2 and it's on a bigger tire so we both started same spot and turned our wheel all the way to the left and went until we were fully turned around and look how big the difference is between the hummer and the silverado again same size vehicle but the hummer turns way tighter with that rear wheel steering and it's going to make it a lot easier if you live in a maybe a city or a tighter environment it can still get around even though it's a very large vehicle then we've got crab walk now crabwalk is really cool i'm guessing most people aren't going to use the full crab walk but the functions of it the rear wheels turning helps you in everyday life and that's normally on so full crab walk is not normally on but the rear wheel steering is you can see the hummer here going diagonally across the parking lot and you can feel it like if you're actually in the vehicle you feel it and it's kind of weird the wheels are pointed straight at us i think your frame's a little bent one more final piece of info here not only is the moon theme and the space theme really cool for an ev because it's all about the future and space travel is about the future but it makes a lot of sense for gm because they actually produced with boeing back in the day the original lunar rover this is gm's way of kind of recreating the lunar rover but one that people can actually buy all right guys so real quick i had to park the hummer here to charge it and it's been charging now for about 10 hours this is a it's a level two charger now the level two you got level one is like you plug into a normal outlet level two is you have um i don't know how many kilowatts level two is but it's way more than like a home outlet i didn't have the whole setup and then you have dc fast charging level which a lot of people call level three i dropped it off it had about two bars and now we're up to over half but that's 10 hours of charging and we're on a level two and we're only a little bit above halfway i'm not sure if it's my area or what but i couldn't find a fast charger a dc fast i couldn't find one yeah that's kind of a small issue but i do love the fact that they have that on the front to actually show your battery life on the hummer ev very cool i've not done this let's see the cost receipt oh zero okay so it's really awesome detail that map there on the speaker the speaker cover it's an area of the moon called the sea of tranquility and the footprint there is where the actual pod landed i think that's incredible something most people won't even know but now you do you've got the drone up because i wanted to show you guys a really cool little demo of just how practical the hummer ev can be even though it's very large you can see from the top down that it's easily as large if not a little bit bigger maybe a little wider than bobby's full-size silverado zr2 and it's on a bigger tire so we both started same spot and turned our wheel all the way to the left and went until we were fully turned around and look how big the difference is between the hummer and the silverado again same size vehicle but the hummer turns way tighter with that rear wheel steering and it's going to make it a lot easier if you live in a maybe a city or a tighter environment it can still get around even though it's a very large vehicle then we've got crab walk now crabwalk is really cool i'm guessing most people aren't going to use the full crab walk but the functions of it the rear wheels turning helps you in everyday life and that's normally on so full crab walk is not normally on but the rear wheel steering is you can see the hummer here going diagonally across the parking lot and you can feel it like if you're actually in the vehicle you feel it and it's kind of weird the wheels are pointed straight at us i think your frame's a little bent one more final piece of info here not only is the moon theme and the space theme really cool for an ev because it's all about the future and space travel is about the future but it makes a lot of sense for gm because they actually produced with boeing back in the day the original lunar rover this is gm's way of kind of recreating the lunar rover but one that people can actually buy all right guys so real quick i had to park the hummer here to charge it and it's been charging now for about 10 hours this is a it's a level two charger now the level two you got level one is like you plug into a normal outlet level two is you have um i don't know how many kilowatts level two is but it's way more than like a home outlet i didn't have the whole setup and then you have dc fast charging level which a lot of people call level three i dropped it off it had about two bars and now we're up to over half but that's 10 hours of charging and we're on a level two and we're only a little bit above halfway i'm not sure if it's my area or what but i couldn't find a fast charger a dc fast i couldn't find one yeah that's kind of a small issue but i do love the fact that they have that on the front to actually show your battery life on the hummer ev
