It was a chilly January morning when we had the privilege of getting behind the wheel of an impressive Corvette. The car's heated seats and ventilated interior were a welcome respite from the cold, but it was clear that these features would be used sparingly. upgrade this is like a $1,500 upgrade is everything in this car upgrades so this has a 3lt package this entire interior is fully upgraded you got leather on the dash all of the stitching everywhere you got these nice handles here everything's upgraded this is the top trim you can get interior wise we're going to put the exhaust into track mode so you can change the exhaust on this yeah you could put it in track mode because it has the performance exhaust so for obvious reasons we're leaving in track mode yeah obviously come on come on okay so we get a lot of attention in this car especially in January with top down apparently you're not supposed to drive convertibles in January oh God come on I'm still going 42 so automat automatic is it bad that it's automatic uh I would like it in manual but the transmission is actually surprisingly good it responds really quickly you know if you're an old dude you just got your knee repl you don't want to be hitting that clutch pedal automatic is pretty good yeah is this the nicest car you've ever been in this is the scariest car I've ever been in come on I'm actually so tense right now grab one of those handles yeah yeah ready oh no come on man the fender flares with the hood bulge and the heads up display in between looks amazing that hood bulge is called a cowl induction hood whatever idiot you're an idiot I like this thing yeah that's the classic Corvette waterfall that's called a waterfall cuz it looks like a waterfall nice dude this exhaust just sounds so good look at it too the quad exhaust yeah you know I'm quad exhaust quad exhaust quad exhaust give me some 1 2 3 4 so with the Z 51 package you get 19s in the front 20s in the back you get bigger so we're rolling on dubs in the back dues this is insane what kind of person buys this Savage is this what all fast cars feel like this is a 6.2 L V8 but it has the option of going into V4 mode with a 3.1 L that's the mode you'll be driving in boring you're going to kill us if you go in V8 mode I'll be fine no you won't okay be careful cuz you're actually going to kill us eight hey remember when I said I wasn't a Corvette guy yeah I think you lied I lied yeah this is like a completely different ball game than that 80s Corvette we drove yeah they both have V8s but this has a 6.2 L V8 with 460 horsepower when they changed those tail lights from round to square like these ones it pissed a lot of people off people were really angry it's like when they Chang the headlights from the popups to the sealed beams this would be pretty cool with popups no Corvette to me is popups and circle tail lights does that Fender stripe mean anything or is it just an option you can get on anything it's an option okay take it easy this sounds really good easy Bud go back in V4 mode all the vents are functional there's there's like 100 different vents on this car and they all work the headlights look like a stingray no they don't they kind of match the emblem how do lights look like a stingray think about it the z51 package adds bigger Wheels bigger brakes an LSD do you know what that is limited slip differential do you know what that does not really but it's good to have okay we have a cooler for it too we have a transmission cooler we have upgraded springs and shocks we have bigger sway bars we have everything we have a dry sump oil system do you know what the hell that is uh so you can provide oil to the engine while doing hard turns sort of you get way more oil in the engine yes better that's from that's straight from race cars you get a rear spoiler you get different gearing so it's more aggressive perfect oh this car sounds so good this interior is really nice this whole Center display is perfect did you know that the screen
