What's In My Tech Bag Summer 2018!

The Nintendo Switch: A Must-Have for Travelers

As anyone who's traveled recently knows, having the right gear can make all the difference between a comfortable and enjoyable trip, and one that's stressful and inconvenient. For travelers, the Nintendo Switch is a must-have item that's both portable and powerful. Its compact design makes it easy to toss into a backpack or purse, while its rugged exterior ensures it'll withstand the rigors of travel.

I've recently purchased a protective case for my Switch from Moomba, which I highly recommend. The case features a soft rubber material on the outside, providing excellent protection against scratches and drops. At the same time, it also gives the Switch a bit of extra heft, which is a bonus when traveling. The case comes in both black and blue finishes, and I opted for the black one.

One of the things that really impressed me about this case was how well it protected my Switch while I was out and about. As you can imagine, accidents can happen even with the best protection, but this case helped to minimize any damage. The Switch's protective coating also helps to keep it looking like new, even after extended use.

For those who are planning a trip or know that they'll be using their Switch while traveling, I highly recommend investing in a protective case like this one. It's a small investment that can make a big difference when it comes to keeping your device safe and functional.

Traveling with Books and Notes

When it comes to writing down notes or reading books on the go, there's no substitute for a good notebook and pen. I've always found that using a physical notebook is more efficient than trying to write down notes in my phone, where I'm often too distracted to focus on what I'm typing.

As part of my travel gear setup, I like to carry two notebooks with me at all times. One is a larger notebook that's similar to a textbook, while the other is smaller and more suitable for jotting down quick notes or ideas. Both of these notebooks fit easily into my backpack, where they're joined by my pen collection.

The benefits of using physical notebooks can't be overstated. When I'm on the go, I find that I'm able to focus more clearly and make better connections between different pieces of information than I would if I was typing away on my phone. Plus, there's something satisfying about seeing your thoughts and ideas take shape in print.

Backpack Essentials

When it comes to packing for a trip, one of the biggest challenges is figuring out how to fit everything into a small space without sacrificing any essential items. That's why I love my backpack - it's designed to be compact but still spacious enough to hold all the things I need.

One of the features that really sets this backpack apart is its clever use of storage compartments and pockets. There are multiple layers of pockets and compartments, each one designed to hold something specific - like a laptop sleeve for the A7 III camera I mentioned earlier. This makes it easy to find what you're looking for quickly, without having to dig through everything.

The backpack also features a few bonus items that make it even more useful for travel. For example, there's an extra zipper pocket on top that can be used to store small items like earbuds or headphones (I use my trusty Earbuds by SoundCore). There's also a built-in rain cover that comes with the backpack, which is perfect for protecting your gear in case of unexpected rain showers.

Camera Gear

As someone who loves taking photos on the go, I always carry my camera with me when traveling. My camera of choice is the A7 III, which is an amazing piece of kit that's both compact and powerful. When it comes to storing my camera gear, I rely on my backpack to keep everything safe and organized.

The A7 III fits easily into a dedicated sleeve in my backpack, where it's joined by other essentials like lenses, batteries, and memory cards. The best part about this backpack is that it has plenty of space for all the extra gear I need - from a portable hard drive to a battery bank (both of which are essential tools for keeping your devices charged on the go).

In conclusion, my travel tech bag is an extension of myself, with everything I need to stay productive and creative while traveling. From my Nintendo Switch and notebooks to my camera gear and backpack essentials, every item has its own special place in this compact but functional space. Whether you're planning a trip or simply want to stay organized at home, I hope that this article has given you some inspiration for your own travel tech setup.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwhat's up guys I'm random Frank P back with a what's in my tech bag video for summer 2018 try to do these every year for you guys to show you what I'm bringing with me to events and stuff like that and don't worry I will have my back-to-school tech video dropping in less than a week so everyone asking about it rest assured it's coming up very soon before this video show you guys all the tech and all the things that I bring with me from going to an event or I'm traveling somewhere all the tech showcased in this Hershel Barlow trail backpack and the first thing I like about this getting right into it is that it's very compact but it still carries a lot now as they always do I'll have everything listed in the description for you guys you can check it out this one I want to say like under 40 bucks or around that price point comes in a ton of different colors that's one reason why I really like Herschel's because all their things whether it's wallets backpacks duffle bags they come in so many different textures and colors that it's really great you can go through and pick them and célia like what fits your style the best so I said shows right here on the side it is eight and a half by ten and a half by six inches those are the dimensions here but even though it's a relatively smaller size I still cram a lot into here and just right off the bat the first thing you can see is there's no real zipper here what I like is it's like one of those like drawstring bags where you could tighten it and open it up makes it really easy and definitely better with theft prevention that way people don't you know just like unzip it while you're not paying attention and they have to go through to after things now of undoing the sring and then unclipping it as well so first off in here we're going to talk about the laptop and stuff like that and the one that I have with me usually when I'm out going to events and stuff it's gonna be my razor blade stealth this is I want to say the 13-inch mount I'm pretty sure it is yes 13 this I believe can hold up to a 15-inch I know my macbook pro does but I really like the razor blade stealth because since it is so small and compact it really packs a punch for the size as well which is a big plus so when I'm out I can edit videos on the go do some casual gaming but for me I love it cuz everything I need to do done and I have it nicely carried around in their race or sleeve as well so it's a nice little bundle here no complaints on my end and then one of the things that I think is just really essential is having the ravpower power station I also showed this off in my tech bag video last year and I think they've included this and they back-to-school video but this thing is just a miracle when you're traveling it is a lifesaver this is a battery bank pretty much that has over 20,000 milliamp hours you got a USB your type C for you to powering devices and charging those up but the big things list which is why I carry it in tandem with my laptop and stuff is it has this AC output here so you could pretty much charge your laptops with you say you're in the middle of an edit and your battery's getting low or it's dying charge it up it'll give you some extra juice and that is just a huge huge feature on a battery bank like this it has this relatively compact cylindrical design as well so it doesn't take up much space fits in here no problem and having over 20,000 milliamp hours to charge phones charged laptops is just the reason why I carry this thing literally everywhere with me when I'm traveling I believe it's around like a hundred dollars something like that which is kind of pricey but again for me there was no second guessing when I picked that up and one of the things you learn when you're doing an event like CES and stuff is you need to keep all your cables organized they're all it's gonna get all tangled up and just be a nightmare and one of the things I picked up that I love is this little pro case this essentially has all the text that I'm gonna need let's say when I come to like little cables and dongles and it keeps everything organized but this just helps me so so much you have no idea since it folds up you can just carry a ton of things in there and it's not gonna get like jumbled and messed around inside of it because there are tons of pockets so you keep everything organized within the organizer this will show you guys real quick some of the things I have because there's a lot of stuff in here so we'll try to fly through it like in this little pockets I keep by two hard drives this is a 1 terabyte and this is a 4 terabyte these are like around $100 now so memory has become just so cheap that I'm constantly buying new external hard drives like this to bring with me on the go so it's like they have their own little pocket here I can just put those in also for things like battery banks I'm even though I have the bigger ravpower one finding things that are extremely thin but also are gonna pack a lot of milliamp hours is key so this one is 10,000 milliamp hours and it's literally like the size of a phone this is a wireless one so I can just put it in my pocket and charge my iPhone 10 wirelessly which is pretty cool so have those in the side pocket this is gonna be for you like more cables Penza more more dongles and stuff but one of the big things that is also really great when traveling is having something like this chiffon cable here it's a pretty much got all your cables all your chargers and stuff attached to one thing so you can charge them up at once instead of having to carry around like five or six different cables migrate USB mini USB lightning USBC all that stuff it's right here and I think this was like ten dollars this is essential and travelling definitely and over here this is a nice little pocket which gonna contain things like an extra USB hub in this pocket down here is what I use for you know a little extra dongles you know memory cards tiny little flash drive so I don't lose them that's why this is so essential because you know it keeps everything organized no tangles nothing getting loose in the backpack extremely clutch well this is gonna be fun to all put back together later so I keep that here in the Barlow's our side pockets it just fits right in there's two side pockets you can also carry around like a big water bottle or anything like that and just you know let's just reach in and grab stuff we'll talk about it okay so obviously the Nintendo switch while you're traveling feel like I'm airplane and stuff this is a must-have you guys know about it not gonna spend too much time on it I just have this case from a Moomba it's a protective case it's very rugged and it's like a soft rubber material around it at the same time it does give it some extra heft which is good so because I drop it while I'm out that's gonna you know help save it in the end and while it's in the backpack itself like that some defender from getting scratched got it here in the black and blue finish I'm a big fan of the switch definitely a an extension part when traveling and still just showing you guys you know if you are using this for you know books for school or anything like that like I said I am gonna have that back to school tech video but I'm always having notebooks with me so I just have two in here these are relatively bigger notebooks this one is pretty much like a like a textbook this is a smaller one so I'm one of those guys yes it's still gonna be using you know actual paper and pen I find that a lot more efficient than writing down notes in my phone so odds are I'll forget about it so have these two in here nine times out of 10 if I'm out I have notebooks and pens on me just like it you know quickly jot stuff down ideas and these easily fit in here no problem along with everything else so while it is that's why I love this backpack so much well it's so much you know more Packt you could still fit a lot in there that's cool because the same time it's kind of encouraging you to carry less as you're traveling but it's gonna have all the essentials but as we start to wrap this one up I was talking more about the backpack itself because I had know a lot of people were interested in this when I did my prime day unboxing the back of it as you can see here I'm has like five pads which are very soft and cushiony they believe they're also like breathable and stuff like that so it's not gonna get hot as it's against your backing on a hot day so having that being like breathable is a big plus and the last two things are gonna be the extra storage you have on this backpack I'm right up top here you have a zipper it's gonna be great for also throwing in quick things like maybe an external hard drive again or a battery bank then obviously little things like you know earbuds or whatever if you have headphones are tiny or foldable you can put those in here and I probably showed this duo off like five separate times from the channel but myfile earbuds along with the mighty Spotify player this is probably the number one thing that I do have with me $0.99 of the time when I'm out because it's just an awesome thing so I'll put those down below if you want to check them out but I talked about it at nauseam so I just have those up in the the top little zipper there and actually on the bottom you could possibly use this for storage but they actually include an entire okay so it actually doesn't come undone it's a good see there's actually a little thing in the bottom that says zero rain delays and it has a some tire cover as well so if it is raining and you have you know expensive tech in here you'll want to get it potentially damaged it comes with an entire waterproof rain cover you can just wrap around your backpack then when you're done fold it back up and you know just put it right back in the bottom here and since it doesn't detach or anything that's gonna be cool if you don't want to possibly lose it I don't know all just extra great bonuses to a compact backpack under 40 50 bucks then obviously if a mountain event you know covering stuff I'm gonna have a camera with me I'm I would show that off in this but actually using the a7 three as the overhead right now just pick this camera up I love it and they were still you know room in here to fit some extra stuff so it would fit in here no problem but guys out I wrap it up for my what's in my travel tech bag video for summer 2018 I hope you enjoyed and like I said I will have all the stuff that I use also that I bring with me listen in the description down below so you can check it out and guys if you liked this video and you're psyched
