**Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 Review**
The Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 is a smartphone that has received praise for its camera performance, battery life, and design. However, it also has some drawbacks that need to be considered before making a purchase.
One of the standout features of the ZenFone Max Pro M2 is its rear-facing camera. The phone comes equipped with a 48-megapixel primary sensor, which is accompanied by an f/1.8 aperture lens. This combination results in excellent image quality, even in low-light conditions. The camera also supports optical zoom and can record video up to 4K resolution. However, the rear-facing camera performance can be improved slightly with a software update that has been promised by Asus.
The front-facing camera is another feature worth mentioning. It features a 13-megapixel sensor and does an excellent job of capturing selfies. However, one feature that is not currently enabled on the phone is the "Bouquet" mode, which is expected to be added through a software update. The camera also supports portrait mode, although it was not available at the time of my review.
In addition to its camera capabilities, the ZenFone Max Pro M2 also boasts impressive battery life. The phone features a 5,000mAh battery that lasts long enough for daily use without needing to be recharged frequently. However, one drawback is that the phone does not support fast charging, which can take around three hours and 50 minutes to fully charge using the supplied charger.
The phone's design is also worth mentioning. The ZenFone Max Pro M2 features a sleek design with Gorilla Glass 6 protection on the front. However, the back of the phone is made of polycarbonate, which may scratch or dent easily. Using a case that comes with the phone can help prevent this from happening.
Another drawback of the ZenFone Max Pro M2 is its lack of Wi-Fi 5 support. The phone only supports Wi-Fi 4 at 2.4GHz and not 5GHz, which may be disappointing for users who need high-speed internet connectivity.
The phone's performance is also worth mentioning. It features a Snapdragon 660 SOC, which provides smooth performance and efficient battery life. However, the phone's microUSB port is a drawback, as it does not support fast charging or other modern charging technologies.
In terms of pricing, the ZenFone Max Pro M2 offers good value for its price. The base model with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage costs around ₹13,000, while the higher-end variant with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage costs around ₹17,000.
Overall, the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 is a solid choice for those looking for a budget-friendly smartphone with good camera capabilities and battery life. While it has some drawbacks, such as lack of fast charging support and Wi-Fi 5 connectivity, its design and performance make it a strong competitor in the ₹10,000-₹20,000 price range.
**Conclusion**
The Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 is a solid choice for those looking for a budget-friendly smartphone with good camera capabilities and battery life. While it has some drawbacks, such as lack of fast charging support and Wi-Fi 5 connectivity, its design and performance make it a strong competitor in the ₹10,000-₹20,000 price range. With its impressive camera performance, long-lasting battery life, and sleek design, the ZenFone Max Pro M2 is definitely worth considering for those looking for a reliable budget smartphone.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi there this is Ranchi tan in this video we'll be doing the full review for this Asus zenfone max Pro m2 smartphone and this phone sells in India for 13,000 but I was testing the 15,000 rupees Fenian that comes with 4 gigabytes of RAM and 64gb of storage and I've used this smartphone for the last two weeks and I'm making the review after that and I'll divide it between the pros and cons here are the quick specs of this phone again check out my unboxing video if you want to know more about it but overall it comes with the snapdragon 668 OC and other specs are on the screen for your reference so let's quickly now jump between the pros and cons and first let's start with the pros about this device and the first pro that I like about this device is its having that new 6 point 2 6 inch screen and the notch is also actually pretty small and they have actually utilized the knotch the notching in fact has a front-facing flash and as you can see it's not very big so this is what you get and it's a good quality full HD glass screen its IPS grade screen so the viewing angles are also nice on this one so I don't have problems with that and many of you are also asking me about dual voltage yes this phone does have dual volte and in fact yes obviously it works with Gio and even with a tell if your Airtel supports what do you say Bertie it works in Hyderabad and it tell has enabled volte so I'm getting a voltage signal on my a tells them so no issues regarding that another thing is that knew about this phone is that generally in this mid-range budget range phones we don't find what do you say Gorilla Glass and if even gorilla glass extolled Gorilla Glass 3 and stuff like that but on this one they have given us the new gorilla at last 6 and guys it's sort of durable if in fact if you have watched my FAQ video that I posted earlier I had dropped this phone a couple of times and the screen is still intact so good to see that we are getting Gorilla Glass 6 but one thing to notice that in the box and no screen guard is available and no screening dad has sort of pre applied and I would suggest you pre apply it with us Gorilla Glass yes it's tough but yes I'm not some - scratches on this one maybe I got them when I drop dead so it might be a good idea to apply a screen guard on this one now moving to the processor it's having the Snapdragon 668 so see and we know that it's a very good processor but again it's slightly under clogged as you can see this is the antutu and its clocked at 1.96 gigahertz not the regular 2.2 gigahertz so you take about a 5% head but again to sum it up in regular usage day to day uses a house-elf told you used it for 2 weeks with my primary Sims and didn't have any issues of lag enos or anything and I think so that's more or less you know almost stock Android experience that you get it this is stock Android that you are getting again not a lot of bloatware also that's a good thing on this one and it's stock and left you go you got your Google now and stuff so in terms of day-to-day performance I didn't notice any lag in as well I was using this phone so that way and the Snapdragon 668 so see is good also another thing that I liked about this phone is that even with the regular use it and stuff like browsing the web tweeting YouTube and stuff the handset does not get formed with regular usage I'll talk about giving also many of you have asked me and in fact I did play pop G on this I'll show you footage later on but in terms of daily usage and with regular apps and stuff know what is a lag that I've noticed again guys I am testing the 4 gigabyte program brilliant and then this one I didn't have any issues of RAM management runs well without any issues and most of the important parts like even trueCaller and stuff are there in your memory and those don't get booted out so in that aspect it's a good thing now moving to cellular call quality I tested this one with two sims al and Gio and I didn't have any issues with this one even the network reception is good enough on this one particularly in this area in my office it is pretty low but I could take voice calls with this one Gio I get good signal here and again hat didn't have any issues now I'm going to another thing is that having that knotch they have given us the physical LED notification light and it's a multicolored notification light for example for notifications you get in green when you're charging it it glows in orange so nice to see that they have implemented that moving to auto brightness the auto brightness sensor calibration also has been done well on this and most of the time I did have to actually physically dink around with the auto brightness sensor but only thing that I would say is that the screen is not super bright and outdoor lighting conditions it's not like you can't see it but it's not super bright now I'm going to another thing many of you have asked me to test it is the output via the headphone jack we do have a 3.5 mm headphone jack and I would say the sound output is good enough but I will still blown away like the me 82 or something but it is good enough moving to the speaker it's just having the single speaker over here let me actually play back one of my own youtube videos so that you can get an idea about it so I and the speaker is here so it's good enough but not the loudest I would say but in terms of ringtones and also took calls while speaker phone it was fine now I'm going to the battery life which is again a trump card for these issues and phone max pro series and this has a five thousand milliamp power or a battery in this one and I would say the battery life is actually really good thanks to the snapdragon 616 SOC and that slightly underclock processor I was getting actually really good battery life as you can see from the screenshots most times I was getting over eight hours eight and a half hours of screen on time and this was with about one and a half days between charges I could also go away with about two days between charges of here using a single sim so in terms of battery life it's really but one thing that I noticed is that I also went to Pune hacks who worked there for two days there the network they tell anyone Gio was not good in the area where I was and there the battery life suffered a bit and there I was getting up just about fine half hours of screen on time so in heather about the network is good and I'm getting very good battery life about a dot so for typical user easily lasts for a full day even if you have sort of a slightly heavy user and if you solve from what red user for the single cells and stuff easily it should give you about one and a half days worth of battery life also in terms of standby time I put my secondary cell to check how's the standby and they're also it was very good easily coordinate over two days so the battery life is good now let's also move to gaming because many of you have asked me to test it so I tested it with the two games that's as fact 9 and babji as you can see this is a span 9 and it played without any actions I didn't notice any hint of any lag and actually be thankful I touch on this one and as you can see the phone very bad that they asked by the mind and again the handset also did not exhibit any hidden lip as per night and many of you have also asked me to play pop G I generally don't play property but I did for you guys as you can see from the footage in the initial screen I noticed some minor lag but again when the game played by lot of jumping from the screen as you can see and stop I did not notice any real you happiness and by default guys that I wrote it the game except the graphics to medium so I didn't change that but here is the gameplay and as you can see it did actually a pretty good job and I also got some kills with the first one without any issues as you can see I am not very good at party but I can hear Oscars sample for page so that you can get an idea how it performs with the pop key and in fact I don't know if it's good or not I could get almost about 7 kills with this run so that was the gaming with the pub Chee the only thing that I noticed with pub G is that after about 10 minutes of gaming continuously the handset was getting a little bit RAM at the back deck party that didn't happen with us fight 9 or with my regular usage of this smartphone so I don't know why but definitely with pop chips the handset tends to get a little bit warm now I'm going to the camera on this one before that let's also talk about the fingerprint scanner because in the earlier zenfone I was not happy with the fingerprint scanner yeah they have actually improved the fingerprint scanner as you can see I've muted the Sun that's why you don't hear hearing the sound but yeah as you can see the fingerprint scanner is good it's not the fastest that I have seen but again as you can see it does the job and it's very accurate we also have that screen unlock to feature if you want you can enable that now moving to the camera which was the weakest point of the earlier zenfone max pro l1 I really have to say issues has really improved the camera both the rear facing as well as the front facing that's the biggest improvement I have seen I would say and here are some of the sample shots as you can see with the rear facing camera and they come out to be actually good even an outdoor lighting yes obviously it comes out good but even an indoor lighting thanks to the F 1.8 aperture lens it's doing a good job but I feel the rear facing camera performance can be improved a little bit because sometimes in artificial conditions like this and stuff and you take the picture you notice that let me enable the volume reza have neutered the volume you take a picture now too fast but sometimes there is a minor shutter delay and you do that because it does not have optical image stabilization you can get slim blurry pictures so when you are taking pictures in artificial lighting like this and endowed I would say just hold still for half a second when you're hitting the shutter then you get good pictures also issues has actually promised a software update for this one it should come out the next week or so and they say that will further improve the camera now moving to the front-facing camera here also I see a huge improvement it's a 13 megapixel front-facing camera and as you can see it's doing a good job but one feature as of now that is not enabled as the bouquet mode and I checked with Asus team and they said that the software update that will be coming out will enable the portrait mode with the front-facing camera so the camera is actually pretty good it's unlike the m1 where I was not happy with the camera it's the camera is pretty decent and again in even and video it can go up to 4k so those were the things that I liked about the zenfone max pro m2 and now let's move to the cons and the first thing is that the handset is actually pretty light for five thousand milliamp hour battery I really appreciate that because having a five thousand milliampere battery makes the handset very heavy this is actually very light and the weight balance is perfect but again to do that they went with this as you look look at the back it looks like it lasts clean but guys it's not glass it's sort of a polycarbonate screen and as you can see because of that you have to be careful it looks nice like a glass but again as you can see in certain angles I could get some scratches this one so again use the case that is supplied in the box otherwise over time you will definitely get scratches I was using it very roughly I was just keeping it in my bag with keys and stuff to see how it holds up but definitely yes if you use it like that without the case it might get some scratches now another thing that I do not like with this phone is that he is supposed to normal 2.4 gigahertz Wi-Fi band that most of the 90% of the users have but it does not supports the 5 gigahertz Wi-Fi plan so that is something you have to know also going to the charging as after be the battery life is good I'm happy with the battery life it's a five thousand milliamp hour battery but again it simply does not support any kind of fast charging so the charging the maximum charge that it takes is 10 watts the supplied charger and Vitton if you charge it if it's completely that it will take you about three hours 50 minutes to completely charge it but I've noticed that it charges fairly quickly to about 80% it's the last 20% that takes over about an hour so again yeah that's regarding the battery life sadly no quick charging support on this one also again this might not be a huge con but they are giving the Snapdragon 668 but still it relies on the poor microUSB port and lastly I also do not like the pricing of the six gigabyte RAM variant the three gigabyte RAM million does for thirteen thousand and I feel the pricing is excellent for that very aggressive even this one the four gigabyte RAM door model that comes with 64 GB of internal storage I would justify the pricing at 15,000 but the 6 gigabyte RAM variant just comes again with the 64 GB of internal storage and the pricing for that is 17 thousand so I feel that slightly overpriced in my Frank opinion but nevertheless I would say it's a pretty good handset and certainly a very strong competitor in the thirteen to fifteen thousand price range I would say the biggest points about this one is the battery life Gorilla Glass 6 that you are getting and the snapdragon 660 SOC so guys that was my review of this Asus zenfone max pro m2 if you still have any other questions do let me know in the
