The Jabra Panacast 20: A High-Quality Webcam Review

As I began testing the Jabra Panacast 20, I was excited to see how it would perform on my MacBook Air. a laptop and this one is supposed to have a very good webcam a 1080p webcam normally if you notice most of the windows laptops are 720p webcam we'll also test it with the macbook air m1 i will use a built-in webcam and attach this one and see what's the difference and also test it with my main computer where i do all this video editing and stuff that's the professional computer that i have that is the imac pro and the imac pro has to have i would say the best built-in webcam till date i have used it's a professional computer cost almost four and a half lakhs so let's test this and see what is the quality that you can get with a super super expensive webcam and guys uh i never asked jabra to send this they just sent me this device i just got it and i got a mail so i never asked them for this but i just got it so i thought okay let's test it out and see what it is and by the way this comes in this box you get a carrying pouch this uh camera itself and a usb uh one usb cable that's it that's what you get so guys now i'm recording with the built-in webcam of the imac pro and this is the best that i have the imac pro guys remember cost four and a half lakhs so this is again a professional and i feel the imac webcam is excellent as you can see but again there is some flickering or something this is in good lighting let me just switch off the extra light alexa switch off tube light so this is the quality that you can expect with imac pro but again guys normal laptops don't have this good webcam we also i have the macbook air and some windows pretty good high-end windows laptop so we'll also look at that and see the quality and guys i forgot to mention this spec this is natively a 4k webcam uh and one more thing if you notice i'm recording with the webcam itself this one if i move around this will actually auto frame me as you can see i can just move around anywhere and this auto frames me and this is built in you don't even need to install any software for this one but you can disable this functionality uh but this works natively it's like this so automatically it will center you uh and it's a natively 4k but uh what happens is most of the video conferencing the software like even microsoft teams etc are up to 1080p so the actual feed that you'll get is 1080p but yeah natively this is a 13 megapixel 4k sensor now guys i'm recording this uh video with the um what do you say a macbook air and one that i had and this was my portable laptop and this is the built-in webcam and let me just switch on this isn't dull lighting let me switch on extra lights alexa switch on cube light so this is the recording that you are getting again uh for a what a built-in laptop webcam it's actually pretty good the uh macbook air and one uh the webcam but again there is quite a bit of softness in the uh picture and again as you saw the lighting should be good let me switch to the panacast and see what kind of a difference does it make still this is from the macbook air m1 but now i'm using the panic ask the web camera and as you can see uh there is a significant improvement in the video quality so and also as far as that ai auto framing if you move the laptop or you also move it does that auto framing automatically for you okay let's do one more test uh this is the what do you say samsung premium what do you say windows laptop it's the latest one this one actually is supposed to have a very good webcam supposed to have a 1080p webcam whereas most of the laptops have a 720p webcam so we'll do the same first we'll record with the built-in webcam and see what's the performance then we'll switch to panacast and see how it performs on a windows laptop so guys now i'm recording with the windows samsung laptop and this is supposed trust me after all the meeting and blah blah whatever happened everyone asked me what is the camera that you're using for these video conferencing the quality is that good and the thing is that if i move around as you can see it auto frame me uh in the middle automatically this is done automatic you don't even have to install a software to do that so you are always in centered or something if you even move around this is done automatically with this one you don't have to install any software yes you can disable it uh and let me give you an idea this is decent lighting uh but let me just switch off one of the light dull lighting and see how it handles alexa switch off tube light so this is sort of dull lighting and here also i feel it's actually doing a pretty good job but if you just improve the lighting a little bit alexa switch on tube light and this is the same lighting that i use when i'm shooting my videos with the dslr if you know i sit over that corner this corner so yeah that's how i use so the quality is certainly very very good but you are paying a price also for this one and i don't think so this is even for normal consumers because i was even checking amazon website and i simply could not locate this model i think so these are uh java is directly selling these two businesses in fact i i uh on amazon india i got pancast 50 that was about 80 85 000 or something like that so i don't think so these are like consumer oriented products this is specifically for business users or that one percent of the users if you are a director of a company or a vice president or something and you still do a lot of video calls and stuff then you can have a look at it uh yes quality is amazing i would say but again the price as you know this price is very very expensive so i thought i will not review this uh considering the price point but you guys know as i can see the quality maybe that one percent of the audience that target audience might like it but
