iOS 16 - Everything You Need to Know! (First Look)

The Excitement Builds: What We Can Expect from iOS 16 and iPadOS 16

With Apple's upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) just around the corner, excitement is building among tech enthusiasts. One of the most anticipated updates that has been making headlines lately is the new iOS 16 and iPadOS 16, which promise to bring a plethora of exciting features and improvements to both iPhones and iPads. In this article, we'll delve into the details of what we can expect from these updates.

Accessibility Features Galore

One of the most significant aspects of iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 is their focus on accessibility features. Apple has been working tirelessly to make its products more inclusive and user-friendly for people with disabilities. According to reports, iOS 16 will include a plethora of accessibility features, including improved screen time management, enhanced Siri capabilities, and more intuitive keyboard shortcuts. These features are designed to make it easier for users to navigate their devices, even those with mobility or dexterity impairments.

Split Screen Multitasking and Redesigned Home Screen Icons

Another feature that has been making headlines is the introduction of split screen multitasking on iOS 16. This long-awaited feature will allow users to divide their screen into two or more sections, making it easier to manage multiple apps at once. Additionally, Apple is rumored to be redesigning its home screen icons, which could bring a fresh new look to iPhones and iPads.

Device Compatibility

So, who can expect iOS 16? The good news is that the iPhone 13 series, including the Pro, Mini, and Standard models, will receive the update. Additionally, the iPhone 12 series, as well as the iPhone 11 series, will also be eligible for the update. However, there's a catch: the iPhone 7 series, including the Regular iPhone 7 and the 7 Plus, may not receive iOS 16 due to hardware limitations. Similarly, the first-generation iPhone SE (6th generation) and the iPad (5th generation) will not be compatible with iOS 16.

iPadOS 16: A New Multitasking Interface

On the iPad side of things, Apple is expected to unveil a brand new multitasking interface in iPadOS 16. This update promises to bring significant changes to the way we interact with our iPads, including improved notifications and more seamless multitasking. According to reports, iPadOS 16 will also see the introduction of a redesigned notification system, which could bring more features and customization options for users.

The iPad Pro: A Potential Launchpad for iOS 16 Features

Fernando Sylvia made a compelling argument that Apple should release separate updates for M1 and A-series chips in iPadOS 16. This would allow Apple to tailor the software to each chip's unique capabilities, potentially unlocking new features and improvements. While this is just speculation at this point, it's an idea worth exploring.

The Future of Macs: WWDC and Beyond

Finally, we can't help but wonder what Apple has in store for its Mac lineup. Rumors are circulating about a brand-new MacBook Air featuring the M2 chip, which would mark a significant departure from the current M1-powered models. Additionally, there's speculation that the Mac Pro might also receive an M1 silicon upgrade, potentially leading to a new era of performance and power efficiency.

Conclusion

With WWDC just around the corner, Apple is sure to make some exciting announcements about iOS 16 and iPadOS 16. Whether or not these rumors come to fruition remains to be seen, but one thing's for certain: we can't wait to see what Apple has in store for us. "WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwelcome back to the channel guys simply pops here and wwdc is on monday june 6 which means we will see the reveal of ios 16 ipad os 16 and alongside with some other apple updates but for the sake of this video we're going to be talking about ios 16 and a little bit of ipad os all right so the first leak feature we will get a lock screen redesign finally so the community been crying about a lock screen redesign be able to change the toggles but in this case we will see widgets potentially maybe some group notifications so it's going to be an overhaul to the lock screen cannot wait to see that because it's been years since we've been seeing the same old lock screen since ios 7 essentially the only new thing we got was these two toggles which i hope we could be able to change according to bloomberg ios 16 will have an always-on mode but this could be exclusive to the iphone 14 pro and 14 pro max now we gotta wait four months until those iphones release but here's what baffles me with always on the iphone 13 has an ltpo display the same exact display panel found in the apple watch so you have that same tech on the iphone 13. so i think this feature is coming to the iphone 13 pro 13 pro max and of course the iphone 14 pro and 14 pro max so it has the same exact screen tech apple is always raising the bar on imessage we got the reaction to text messages replying to individual text messages and group chats but this year we could be getting more social network features maybe something like stories similar to snapchat and instagram just to see what your friends are up to so the health app we should be getting some new features and we're gonna get a home screen widget and as you guys can see i've been listening to a lot of music especially at the gym and i'm gonna be honest i don't really use the health app too much but nonetheless that's what we're gonna see alongside with that we're gonna get a redesign to the call screen interface focus is gonna be getting some new features this time around the focus is a handy idea but i just generally don't use it i just use it for do not disturb and overall we're gonna get some fresh new apple apps alongside with some redesigns for some now in terms of accessibility features pretty much apple has stamped this this is coming and first up we have the apple watch mirroring on your iphone so essentially this is airplay but you can interact with your apple watch with your iphone so whatever you've seen on your apple watch right now you could be able to control it on your iphone and also you have some quick action so you can pinch or tap to do things so this is very similar to the back tap feature on the iphone so if i double tap the back of my iphone it's a hit or miss sometimes it open up the camera app so if you want to activate that on your iphone you go into accessibility and then you want to go into touch then you want to go all the way down back tap and next up we have live caption coming to ios about time um apple used this example where if you're on a facetime call you have a live caption on what the person is saying so very similar to a tv show where you have captions enabled you now have that on the iphone so this is very handy and the way how the interface looks it shows the emoji it shows a name and it's just like you have like a real conversation it just converts it into text it's actually pretty freaking insane now if you have a pixel you had this for years so if i play a video you get a live capture on the bottom so you guys see that you get that live capture on the bottom and it's not even using the speaker or microphone or anything it's just using machine learning and it's just picking it up right there so ios is finally gonna have something like that next up we have siri paul's time so when it's time to talk back to siri you can have a longer duration or you can have a shorter donation so now you can finally set that also this is my favorite feature that i'm anticipating we have sound alerts so it's going to give you a notification if that noise occur so for example if you have a pet or a dog i should say you're going to get a notification if your dog barks um this is perfect if you have like your air pods on and you you know you're not you can't hear the environment the iphone is going to be able to notify you or even like a doorbell right so you could turn a dumb doorbell into a smart doorbell essentially because your phone is notifying that your door is um you know somebody's ringing the doorbell and then we have better accessibilities to the books app so you can adjust the word spacing the letter spacing and the line height so it's going to make things a little bit more easier to read and yeah so accessibility features is jam-packed and i know i'm missing some apple is really taking a time this year when it comes down to accessibilities and no wonder why the media outlets are saying that this is going to be the biggest ios iphone update in years but we are still missing out on certain things such as split screen multitasking a redesign to the app um the home screen icons these this is just custom now also they saying the same thing for watch os nine so um we don't know exactly what feature that's coming there but they are saying that it's gonna be a significant update and now in terms of device compatibility who's gonna get ios 16 100 sure we will see the iphone 13 series such as the pro the mini etc the iphone 13 series will get ios 16 and alongside with the iphone 12 series the 11 series the 10r the 10s the 10. these devices will certainly get ios 16 100 sure and the iphone 10 is definitely one of my favorites um yes that's including the iphone 8 2 as well because these two feature the same exact a11 bionic chip so yeah so these devices we will see ios 16 but in terms of the iphone 7 series this is the seven plus and this is going to apply to the regular iphone 7. it's a little bit of a weird position right now because recently apple discontinued the ipod touch and that is featuring the same exact 810 fusion chip so rarely apple updates discontinued products so i would say this is a i would say this is like a 50 chance that we could see ios 16 they could have the update available for the iphone 7 and just not have an update for the ipod because remember the ipod is a four inch device and this is a 4.7 or 5.5 inch device so apple pie just want to neglect all four-inch devices and just focus on 4.7 5.5 and of course with the iphone 10 and the 10s and all that stuff so and in terms of the first generation iphone se the 6s the 6s plus you will not get ios 16. i'm pretty sure of it 80 percent sure that you will not get ios 16. switching gears to ipad os 16 we're going to be seeing a brand new multitasking interface reamp notifications not really that much going on the ipad but hopefully whatever we get on ios 16 apple can make its way up to the ipad pro and actually fernando silvia made a very good point he told a very good point apple should break up ipad os 16 into two updates one for the m1 chip and then one for the a series of chips so have the software a little different so give us more features for the m1 devices and then for the a series of chips you know leave it leave it behind so i think that was a very good idea so as we know the ipad it just needs better software i think that's really what's holding it up right now we have powerful processors we have the ram we have the apple pencil the magic keyboard all this stuff is limited by the software and not to say that ipad os is terrible we don't have a calculator app we don't have a weather app it's not terrible but it could be so much better and before i go it's a great chance that we will see new hardware at wwdc and it could be the brand new macbook air featuring that m2 chip and i just brought this macbook um m1 chip but it's okay i'm going to be comparing it to the new macbook air so if you plan on buying a macbook air hold off until apple um announces the brand new macbook air and and it's a chance that we could even see the mac pro getting that last m1 silicon all in all i know is there's a 100 chance that we will see new hardware at this event because apple invited some developers they invited this one that one and they required to wear a mask and they they feed in them and all that stuff so it got to be some kind of hardware that i'm going to test out and it's they're probably using it right now as we speak so the m2 chip macbook air could be a thing of course i'm going to be making a video on that and we could even see the mac pro but other than that we got to wait and see if you guys are new around here make sure you guys subscribe with notifications on for more videos like this one drop like on this video help me out tremendously and comment down below what you guys think about ios 16 and ipad os 16 according to these leaks and
