AtGames Legends Gamer Mini Review - Is It Worth Buying

**AtGames Legends Gamer Pro Review and First Impressions**

We started by testing out Breakers Revenge on our AtGames Legends Gamer Pro console, which is a high-end gaming system that supports rewind and save states. Unfortunately, this game does not support these features, but it's still possible to use the console's advanced configuration options to customize the gameplay experience. When we pressed the "At Games" button during gameplay, we were presented with a menu that allowed us to exit the game, insert coin, quit the game, and access advanced configuration options. From here, we could change the dip switches, difficulty levels, and other settings to fine-tune our gaming experience.

One of the things that stands out about the Legends Gamer Pro is its ability to run a wide range of games, including classic arcade titles and modern games like Metal Slug. The console comes pre-loaded with 100 games, which is a impressive starting point for any gamer. We also appreciated the option to add our own games to the system using the AtGames Arcade Net streaming service, which allows us to access thousands of additional titles online.

In terms of performance, we were pleased to find that the Legends Gamer Pro was able to run most games at high speeds and with minimal lag. The console's Maim-based architecture provides a solid foundation for delivering smooth gameplay experiences, even at high resolutions like 16x9 pixel perfect. We also experimented with some display settings, including enabling horizontal scan lines, which added a nice touch of nostalgia to the overall experience.

After playing through a few pre-loaded games, we decided to test out the Legends Gamer Pro's online features by connecting it to our network using Wi-Fi or Ethernet. The AtGames Arcade Net service is available 24/7 and allows us to stream games from remote servers, which can be a great way to access new titles without having to download them locally. We were pleased to find that the system performed well over our internet connection, with minimal lag or buffering issues.

Overall, we're extremely impressed with the AtGames Legends Gamer Pro console and its ability to deliver high-quality gaming experiences. With its impressive library of pre-loaded games, advanced configuration options, and seamless online streaming capabilities, this console is sure to please even the most discerning gamers. Whether you're a fan of classic arcade titles or modern games, there's something for everyone on the Legends Gamer Pro.

**Hands-On Impressions**

One of the things that struck us about the Legends Gamer Pro was its ease of use. Even with advanced configuration options and online features, the system is surprisingly intuitive to navigate. We were able to quickly and easily access our pre-loaded games, add new titles from the Arcade Net service, and adjust settings to fine-tune our gaming experience.

We also appreciated the option to map our controls using the AtGames Arcade Net interface, which allowed us to customize our button layout and ensure that we had access to all the features we needed during gameplay. The system's ability to stream games online was also a major highlight for us, as it allowed us to access new titles without having to download them locally.

Of course, no review of the Legends Gamer Pro would be complete without mentioning its hardware specifications. With an Maim-based architecture and 100 pre-loaded games, this console is built for performance and delivers a high-quality gaming experience that's hard to beat.

**Conclusion**

The AtGames Legends Gamer Pro is an exceptional gaming console that offers a wide range of features and capabilities at an affordable price point. Whether you're a fan of classic arcade titles or modern games, there's something for everyone on this system. "WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey what's going on guys this is eta prime back here again today we're going to be taking a look at the atgames legends gamer mini now this is a cool little unit comes preloaded with a hundred games and it comes in much cheaper than the legends gamer pro that i recently reviewed which is a much bigger version with two players and a trackball now one of the main reasons i really like these little units is because they're wireless now if you do end up picking one of these up you're gonna get your usb cables for charging up the unit itself and powering up the main unit which they're referring to as the arcade streaming console and this is where all the magic happens so here it is this is the arcade streaming console from at games this one here that comes with the gamer mini comes pre-loaded with 100 games on the back as you can see we have ethernet full-size hdmi single usb 3.0 port because we can use the control deck wired or wirelessly plus you'll be able to plug in different controllers to this or you can connect them wirelessly like an xbox one controller we also have a micro usb port for powering up the unit and our bluetooth sync button so taking a look at the control deck itself as you can see we have eight action buttons a single arcade stick rewind at games button player 1 and we also have our power switch over here on the right hand side and this connects to the arcade streaming console wirelessly but i've also been able to connect this to my windows 10 pc and my android tablet so it does work with both of those also another thing that i've noticed about the gamer mini is on each side we have these little connectors and on the gamer pro the bigger version which i reviewed a few weeks ago it does have pinball buttons on the side and these will work with the gamer mini i'm not sure if at games is going to be selling these separately or not but it's cool to see that they have implemented those on the mini also at games has made it super easy to connect the gamer mini to the streaming console so as you can see i already have the streaming console booted up it's almost ready to go but i don't have any controls so i'm going to press the sync button on the console itself it's going to go into a bluetooth pairing mode all of the bluetooth devices that are around us right now will show up and now i need to power up the gamer mini control deck i'm gonna wait a few seconds for this to start at sync mode because it hasn't been connected yet and after a few seconds you will see it show up in the menu we can navigate the menu from the streaming console by pressing that sync button that's gonna move us down the list and what we need to find is the control deck because it's in sync mode now and it has showed up i just kind of skipped it i need to go all the way back down and there we are this is the control deck the gamer mini we're going to hold the sync button on the streaming console for about five seconds and it's gonna go ahead and pair it up and there we have it the gamer mini is now connected wirelessly to the streaming console we can navigate the full operating system here or we can just start playing a game so i've just moved in a bit closer here so we could get a better look at the screen but as soon as you boot this thing up you're going to be in the game selection menu from here you can navigate through the 100 games that come preloaded on the gamer mini or we can move over to the left hand side here and set up a few filters so we can filter by only arcade games only genesis games and other consoles the gamer mini also supports bring your own game so if you do add games to a usb drive they'll also show up in this filter menu here so these are the pre-loaded games but i want to move over to arcade net and if you're not familiar with arcade net basically this allows you to stream games from at game servers to whatever console you're using be it the gamer pro or the gamer mini or the legends arcade there's a ton of great stuff in here and right now it's in beta as i'm making this video so it is free to use and i've had really good luck with it by the way the streaming console does support ac wi-fi so you can pick up that 5 gigahertz network and if you have a good connection you shouldn't have any trouble at all streaming these retro games from their servers like i mentioned this also supports bring your own games you will have to use a certain application from github to get this up and running but it does work well and it works with a lot of genesis games and main games we can also do some streaming from our local pc it supports pixel arcade marquees so if you do want to build an arcade machine around one of these you can use one of those marquees it also has support for coin op x and atgame's upcoming pinball software so that's a big plus for a small unit like this and finally we'll move over to the settings now i would recommend connecting the wi-fi checking for an update updates are coming out all the time for these things the control deck itself can also be connected to other devices like the raspberry pi it also works with android and windows like i mentioned at the beginning but overall i think the at games has done an amazing job with their legends line i was really surprised to see all of this built into the mini version it's also in the pro version and their ultimate arcade so i do have to give them props for adding so much to their legends line they've actually really been listening to the community okay so now it's time to get into a little bit of testing first up we're gonna test out a few of these pre-loaded games and then we'll move over to arcade net to see how that performs first one we're gonna do here is breakers revenge now there's a lot of games that will support rewind and save states but you will run into a few that don't like this one here you're gonna get a warning that looks something like this just letting you know that this does not support save states and rewinds and while you're in any game you can actually press the at games button on the control panel it'll bring up the menu from here we can insert coin we can quit game we also have advanced configuration and from here after we make a change it will have to reboot the game but it'll do it automatically and since this is an arcade game it's actually using maim to run it and as you can see we have the main menu here we can go through change the dip switches difficulty and things like that on most of these arcade games you're just going to exit and it'll automatically reboot that game to keep those changes and now that we're back in here we'll go back into the menu button configuration is available for every game so if you can swap the buttons around if you don't like that layout there's also a few display settings you can go 4x3 pixel perfect 16x9 personally i prefer pixel perfect with some horizontal scan lines but you can mess around with this and see what suits you best this is just the configuration that i personally like using so let's go ahead and get into some gameplay i mean overall everything's been working great here a lot of this stuff is kind of hand-picked to work on this hardware and speaking of hardware this is actually running the same cpu and ram as the legends gamer pro so i suspect that performance should be great with these games here so i'm going to go ahead and run through a couple of these pre-loaded games and then we'll move over to arcade net to see how that performs wow and at any time from any game you're just going to press the at games button go down to quit game and it's going to bring us right back to the main menu so we can start playing something else i'm just going to give you a demo of a couple more pre-loaded games and then we'll move over to arcade gnat so so all right so let's go ahead and move over to arcade and that now with arcade net these are not stored on your console at all you need to be connected online either wi-fi or ethernet and you're going to stream them from the at game servers and i would recommend connecting to a 5 gigahertz network if you have one in the house because this does have ac wi-fi built-in from here you're just going to choose a game it's going to load it from their servers and at any time we can actually press that at games button again and we get a little bit of a different menu we can change the quality of the stream we can map our controls we can display some on-screen information about latency and things like that and we can also exit the game so i've just left this completely stocked the way it comes out of the box i'm streaming metal slug as you can see here i mean it does work really well but keep in mind i do have a pretty decent internet connection so i'm just gonna go ahead and test one more here from arcade mat and then i'll give you my final thoughts on this whole unit so in the end i do like what app games has been doing with their legends line and this one really isn't any different the legends gamer mini i think is totally worth the price you can pre-order this for 129.99 you get those 100 preloaded games you have access to arcade net you can add your own games there's a ton of stuff that can be done with this unit and if you ever get tired of the arcade streaming console that comes with it if it doesn't have enough power you can connect the control deck wirelessly or wired to your android device windows or even your raspberry pi i mean they've made it really versatile and i'm glad to see that games has really stepped up their game but that's going to wrap it up for this video really appreciate you watching if there's anything else you want to see running on this unit like adding your own games just let me know in the comments below now if you do pick one of these up before i'm able to post a video showing you how to do it i will leave a link in the description to an awesome youtube channel called cool toy he's got a bunch of tutorials over there and he does a lot with these atgames legends products so definitely check him out it's got some really good stuff over there link for that will be in the description but that's it for this one and like always thanks for watchinghey what's going on guys this is eta prime back here again today we're going to be taking a
