Gaming on the Graphics Card from Escape from Tarkov...

Here is the rewritten article:

I thought it would be so easy, so now let's see how it holds up to Escape from Tarkov, which is visually actually a pretty demanding game, especially because of all that damn foliage that people keep hiding in. Now as far as settings goes, we're at 1080p, I think starting off with high is probably very brave, so I'm gonna go all the way down to low settings yeah let's see if it works I just need to restart for it to apply properly.

Okay so we're in and it's sitting in the mid 30s sometimes it goes up to even 50 frames per second um it doesn't feel great I don't think you would it would go too well for you in a gunfight with this kind of uh with this kind of performance but it's doing it better than I was expecting like look at that we're sitting in the in the high 30s low 40s so I'm curious I wonder if I can actually win a gunfight with this graphics card running. There's definitely more input lag than I'd like um it does it doesn't feel amazing huh I think he's dead I am very hurt though two heavy bleeds oh no oh no I really hope he's got a hemostat on him yo he's not even he's pretty geared oh please please have a hemostat oh he's got a saliva hey we killed a player so clearly you can be relatively competitive with the Tarkov graphics card what crap loot does this dude have there we go we murdered a dude and survived the extract so yeah you clearly can play Escape from Tarkov just very badly on the graphics card in Escape from Tako oh yeah look at those textures it's looking real good.

What I want to do and I'm actually going to be real stupid about this but let's overclock the graphics card I'm going to do it while the game's running so that seems like a great idea uh but let's overclock the graphics card let's do like plus 170 plus like okay so now we've overclocked it and it's it's almost entirely removed the the input lag oh that's so much better try and overclock it a bit more and see if we get even even better frame rates apparently overclocking mid-range is not is not the best idea one of the things that bothers me about Escape from Tarkov of is it crashes really slowly because it takes ages for the crash to finalize and then you still have to wait at least two minutes to load every time.

Okay well we're still alive uh the overclock's not oh oh oh no it's gonna cry again oh I've made the exact same mistake oh yo honestly that little bit of overclocking completely removed the input okay maybe not completely but it feels way better like the game is actually playable at this point okay so we're back on Customs with the overclock this time and again like I said before uh it feels a lot better the input lag feels more under control it's not oh that's a scav it's not perfect but it it feels better than it was without the overclock the problem with the reduced input lag is that now you can feel the stutters more but I mean that's not too bad this is kind of playable I think.

The game's just crashed again oh it's so unstable yeah so look at how badly the frame rate tanks when you so it's like 42 and then you ads and it like halves the frame rate basically this graphics card really does not like you looking down the sides apparently the Escape from Tarkov graphics card can actually run Escape from Tarkov although you have two decisions to make the first one is either you don't overclock and have stability but then there's so much input lag that you basically can't land any shots and then when you overclock it you reduce that input lag but then the game crashes six or seven times a raid so yeah neither of those situations I would call a pleasant gaming experience.

But anyway thank you very much for watching if you liked the video like and subscribe to the channel for more videos like this one I also have my Twitch stream linked in the description below where I stream Escape from Tarkov every now and then and until the next video bye

WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: entoday we're going to see if you can run escape from tarkov which is like the autoerotic asphyxiation of video games on the graphics card that you can find in escape from talk of now the graphics card and escape from tarkov is one of the most valuable readily found items in the game and finding it is one of the most exciting and terrifying things ever because you know the moment you walk three feet out of the room that you found the graphics card in liv and mark is going to come bouncing around the walls and shove his fist up your butt and take that graphics card for his own pile of shiny crap i don't know where i was going with that thought but anyway before we get further into the video let's hear from today's video sponsor lenode today's video is sponsored by lenode which is an affordable powerful way to host linux based servers in the cloud if you want to host your own game servers the node is for you they support games like rust cs go and minecraft the java edition which we all know is clearly superior to the bedrock edition also if you need a vpn to surf the internet without prying eyes looking in lenode has you covered with easy one-click installs for personal vpns like wire guide and openvpn the best part about setting up your personal vpn server is that you can be sure that there isn't a middleman company looking to sell your data clinod has some of the best customer support in the business i mean just look at how seriously this dude takes his customers support regardless of your pay tier you'll get through to a person that will help you sort out your problem if this sounds good sign up using the link in my description for a hundred dollar 60-day credit thank you very much lenode for sponsoring this video now the first thing that we need to do is determine what this graphics card actually is which was actually surprisingly easy to do a because it's very accurately modeled on a real graphics card and b i didn't actually have to look for it i mentioned on stream one day that i wanted to try and run the game on the graphics card in the game and then somebody who was watching just went and found it for me so that was really nice thank you for that it turned out to be a gtx 750 ti which is like a lower mid-range graphics card from seven years ago and not only that but it's like a very specific asus version of the graphics card but anyway after we identified what the graphics card was i went out into the wild to go and get one oh graphics card come to think of it that's just what all graphics card shopping is like at the moment with the drought and all but anyway this is the exact card that i got my hands on and that floor took real good care of it for a seven-year-old graphics card it is in immaculate condition now this asus gtx 750 ti has a couple of distinct features which actually makes it really easy to identify the first one is the cooler design which is very reminiscent of asus graphics cards of the era in which this card was launched they called these coolers direct copper 2 and they were pretty good another thing that is useful for identifying this graphics card is the rear i o which is a bit of an interesting setup it's got two dvi ports a dinosaur port and then an hdmi to the left here and then the final distinguishing feature which i noticed because it really triggers me and this may be the nerdiest rant you've heard all day but why the hell is the pci express power connector all the way on the back of the graphics card over there that's like the worst place they possibly could have put it for cable management now i know that this is an old graphics card but it's not that old so you can't use the excuse of like uh it was back in the past when everyone was stupid and we didn't know any better this is like baby's first pcb design what the hell but other than that this is just a really plain boring graphics card i don't know why nikita decided to use this specific graphics card in escape from tarkov and this is exactly why i was getting all uppity about that power connector placement look at that look at how stupid that looks and there's no other way around it because you have to get the power connector over there so you have this huge dangling cable it's so stupid it's kind of like having somebody who's been designing cars for the last 15 years go where do we put the gas and brake pedal in this model i know on the ceiling above the passenger's head oh no my test bed just caught on fire i don't know what happened i assembled everything and then pressed the power button and then just all of the fire happened look over there you can see there's a mark where the motherboard caught on fire i think the power supply also caught on fire because there was a huge puff of smoke from down here so now i'm gonna have to use a different system to test this graphics card i really hope this isn't what killed everything but yeah we'll have to figure that out okay so i've just tested the graphics card in the cheapest pc lvr and we got a display output so it works which is good considering that my test bed has died i need to use this acer nitro 50 as a test bed but with that let's see what kind of normal gaming performance we get out of this seven year old graphics card and then we'll try and run escape from tarkov on it as far as the gaming performance goes it's decent you can play a bunch of games with reasonable settings i mean even battlefield 5 was playable on it so i guess that all of the people in escape from tarkov still have some reasonable gaming performance going around but yeah it actually performed a little bit better than i thought it would so now let's see how it holds up to escape from tarkov which is visually actually a pretty demanding game especially because of all of that damn foliage that people keep hiding in now as far as settings goes we're at 1080p i think starting off with high
