WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey guys this is Christian here with digital trends in Hawaii where we had a chance to check out the new Motorola one hyper handset now it's a device aimed at offering a relatively premium experience at a pretty low price point and as such you've got a nice modern design on the front of the phone you'll find a big edge to edge display with rounded corners and you'll notice right away no notch that's because the phone has a pop-up front-facing camera similar to the latest oneplus phones you might notice it has a small chin on the bottom but you won't really notice it or feel it in day to day use the phone's got a big 6.5 inch display but it's really not too large for day-to-day use it feels nice in the hand it's not too thick it'll fit in your pocket that said it is a big phone so if you're not into big screen phones this probably isn't the device for you
the phone comes in three colors deep sea blue dark amber and fresh orchid but the fresh orchid one won't be available in the US and the dark amber one actually isn't available at launch the display is a 6.5 inch 1080p display so it's not the same display that you'll find on super high-end phones that these days are offering either a 1440p resolution or even a 4k resolution they should still look good in normal use and you'll enjoy watching Netflix or other videos or looking at your photos
there's another feature on the phone that you might not have seen a lot in recent times and that's a headphone jack so if you're an audio buff or you just want great sounding music or don't want to use wireless headphones that's good news for you on the back of the phone you'll find a dual sensor camera you got a 64 megapixel main sensor and a 16 megapixel wide-angle sensor now that sounds like a lot of megapixels but Motorola is using some quad pixel technology so in the end your images will be reduced to 16 megapixels on the main 64 megapixel sensor now that's really to make for brighter more detailed shots so it's a nice feature to have but you can turn it off if you want to
that pop-up camera that we mentioned before is a 32 megapixel sensor so it should make for nice detailed shots and again Motorola is using quad pixel technology so in the end you'll get some nice vivid bright 8 megapixel selfie shots under the hood the phone features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor along with 4 gigabytes of RAM and that should be pretty good for most day-to-day use now you're not gonna get the same level of performance that you'll get on flagship phones like the iPhone 11 Pro or the Samsung Galaxy S 10 but the phone should still be more than good enough for most mobile gaming social media web browsing emails and anything else that you'll want to put it through
when it comes to storage you'll get plenty at 128 gigabytes but if you want even more you can't expand it by up to one terabyte thanks to the included micro SD card slot the Motorola 1 hyper ships with Android 10 right out of the box which is the latest and greatest version of Android and Motorola promises our one major software update so you will get Android 11 when it rolls around on top of that you'll get 2 years of security updates
the Motorola 1 hyper is available straight from the Motorola home website where it'll come at $400 it's a pretty good price point for the features that this phone offers there are some decent competitors out there like the Google pixel 3a now you won't get as modern of a design with the pixel 3a but you will get a better camera so if that's a trade-off that's important to you it might be worth looking into that phone
