What's Up with iOS 10.2 Beta 5?
As I'm sure many of you know, today was a Friday and that's when Apple decided to release iOS 10.2 beta 5. Now, as I mentioned before, I believe that iOS 10.2 should be released sometime in the first or second full week of December, which makes this new build number look even more plausible with its shorter bill number, 14c 89. It's worth noting that a shorter bill number is very similar to the official release numbers, so it's possible that we're looking at a Golden Master (GM) copy right now in the form of beta 5.
The good news is that Apple released iOS 10.2 beta 5 today and it only took 60 megabytes to download on the plus model for the iPhone 7. I was able to get started with the new software quickly, although I do have to mention that I'm still having trouble getting the bypass on the lock screen to work. It seems like Apple has officially patched the bug that I discovered a few weeks ago, and they reached out to me yesterday to give me some additional information on the matter. Unfortunately, it looks like we're not going to see any new features or significant changes to the software itself - at least, not yet.
I've compared iOS 10.2 beta 5 to previous versions of the software, such as beta 4 and beta 3, and I just can't find anything new or interesting on the surface. The most important thing is that the lockscreen bypass isn't working, which was my top concern going into this release. I'm not sure if we'll see dark mode on iOS 10.2 - I didn't think it would be released with this version of the software, but maybe we'll have to wait until iOS 10.3 or 10.4. As for now, there's no sign of it.
I did take a look at the performance of the plus model for the iPhone 7 on the Geekbench, and I was blown away by the results. The single core score is now 34.60, which is a drastic improvement over the previous version (32.71). And if that's not enough, the multi-core score is even more impressive at 54.10 on beta 4 and 45.68 on beta 5. I really feel like this could be a Golden Master copy of iOS 10 - with the build number being so small, it makes me think that Apple might be preparing for a release soon. The patches are there, the software feels great, and everything seems to be in place.
Of course, we can't just sit back and wait for the release to happen. There's always the possibility of a jailbreak, which would be amazing if it were to happen. I'll be sure to keep an eye on things and let you guys know if anything changes. In the meantime, I'll be posting videos here if there are any developments or updates on the iOS 10.2 release. Be sure to follow me on Twitter for any jailbreak information that might come my way.
Well, that's all for now. It's been a long day and I'm looking forward to a great weekend. Just wanted to give you guys an update on what's happening with iOS and let you know that I'll catch up with you all next time. Take care!

10.2 should be releasing the first or second full week of December and this hints at that as well as well as the new build number for the new software which is a shorter bill number for those of you who are wondering it is 14c 89 okay so that's a short bill number very similar to the official releases bill number so this could be the GM that we're looking at right now in a form of beta 5 so Apple released it today was 60 megabytes the download on the plus model for the iPhone 7 was a quick download I do have to mention that I cannot get the bypass on the lock screen to work so it looks like Apple has officially patched the lock screen bug that I discovered a few weeks back I did get contacted by Apple yesterday I got some additional information on the matter so it looks like we're moving forward now is there really anything other than the security patches for the software and really physically there's nothing I've compared it to previous versions of iOS 10.2 beta 4 beta 3 and I can't find anything on the software that's new but the most important thing is that lockscreen bypass of course that was the number one concern there isn't any dark mode as of yet I don't think I was going to be releasing on 10.2 would we see it on ten point three or ten point four in the future towards the end cycle of iowa's 10 just like we did with night shift on iOS 9 well you just have to wait and see I did run of the Geekbench a performance on this device the plus model for the iPhone 7 and I was also blown away about the performance take a look at this guys we have a single core score of 34 60 from a previous 32 71 so that's a drastic improvement on the single core score on the iOS 10.2 bit of 5 and of the multi-core score is even more impressive 54 10 on beta 456 81 on beta 5 I really do feel like a beta 5 is somewhat of a golden master copy that GM copy of iOS 10 again like I mentioned the build number is just small so this could be hinting at Apple releasing this next week the patches are there the software feels great everything is in place so let's hope now for this to be completed we can move on hopefully get a jailbreak as well I'm hoping for that as well no new information of course guys in terms of the jailbreak if I find anything else I'll be sure to let you guys know be sure to follow me on Twitter for any jailbreak information of course I'll be posting a
