here's the entire plot of ACOTAR so you don't have to read 500 pages (a court of thorns and roses)

Hello and Welcome Back to Another Plot Summary Video

Hi everyone, welcome back to another plot summary video. My name is Cari, and thank you for being here today. Before we dive into the world of A Court of Thorns and Roses, I want to mention that if you've come from watching my previous plot summary video for Crescent City, this series is absolutely nuts. Many of you in the comments have compared it to Riverdale, and I must say that it's very much inspired by reality TV and other shows like that. The story is bonkers in a fun way, and making this video was so much fun - even though I genuinely had a great time reading it, despite it being a bit of a mess.

A Court of Thorns and Roses: A Little Different Approach

ACOTAR is a little different from Crescent City because it starts off quite sincere. The author, Sarah J. Maas, wasn't trying to write like the show that Crescent City is inspired by. This story is still going to be fun, but I think it's going to be just a little bit different. It's also very inspired by fairy tales, especially Beauty and the Beast. And I'm going to be real honest with you guys - I liked ACOTAR both the first time and maybe even the second time that I read it. I was kind of new getting back into fantasy, and I know that like it's fun to make fun of it, but I'm not going to do that today. I'm just going to tell you the plot, and you can decide how you feel about it.

The Story Begins: A Labyrinth of Snow and Ice

Our story begins in the forest. Described as a labyrinth of snow and ice. And our girl Feyre is hunting. Feyre's family is starving, and she's the only one in the family who can provide for them. She knows that if she doesn't bring back some food, they'll go hungry. So, she sets out on her journey, armed with ash wood arrows, which are one of the things that can hurt fairies.

A Glimpse into the Forest: The Wolf and Deer Encounter

As Feyre makes her way through the forest, she comes across a deer, which is scary enough on its own. But then, in the bushes, she sees these glowing golden eyes. She's like no I don't like that. What comes out of the bush is a wolf, which is even scarier than the deer. The wolf is ten times the size of what a normal wolf should be. Feyre is in a position where it's like the only thing she can do is try to kill it or die. Luckily for her, she has some ash wood arrows and knows that ash is one of the things that can hurt fairies.

The Wolf Dies, But Is It a Fairy?

Feyre doesn't hesitate; she just gets ready, shoots the wolf twice, once in the eyeball I think. And to her surprise, it dies and doesn't transform into its original form. She's like okay that was just a weird ass wolf gotcha. So, with no other options, Feyre kills the deer because she can't bring two giant animals all the way through the woods back to her home. She skins the wolf and figures that maybe she can sell its fur at the market or something like that, and try to make some money for her family.

Feyre's Remorse: Killing the Wolf

As Feyre takes a closer look at the wolf, she feels remorse for killing it especially because it was such a beautiful creature. She knows that she has to take responsibility for her actions and face the consequences of what she did. The story is just beginning, and we'll see how Feyre navigates this world of magic and danger.
