Meet the NEW $399 Apple iPhone SE

The iPhone SE II: A Refreshing Return to Form

Hey guys, I'm Michael Josh and you're watching Gadget Match! Today, we're talking about the return of the iPhone SE II, which is essentially the same phone as the original iPhone 8, but with features similar to those found on the latest iPhones. The new iPhone SE II looks just like its predecessor, with a 4.7-inch Retina HD display and a single fingerprint sensor/home button that's sure to delight fans of Touch ID.

The design of the new iPhone SE II is certainly nostalgic, drawing inspiration from the original iPhone 5. However, don't let its exterior fool you - the phone's insides have been revamped to bring it up to par with the current crop of iPhones. The new device powers the same A13 Bionic chip that drives the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro, providing a significant boost in performance and power efficiency.

One area where the iPhone SE II is sure to impress is its camera capabilities. Although it uses the same camera system as the original iPhone 8, Apple claims that the phone's single rear shooter is able to deliver stunning photos thanks to the more powerful neural engine on the A13 Bionic chip. This enables features like semantic rendering, which allows the phone to identify when there's a person in the shot and preserve skin tones during Smart HDR mode. However, it's worth noting that the iPhone SE II won't have Deep Fusion or Night mode like its pricier counterparts.

The camera system on the iPhone SE II is also notable for its use of monocular depth estimation, a feature that enables portrait lighting with a single camera. This is made possible by machine learning algorithms that allow the phone to adjust the lighting and focus accordingly. When it comes to other features, the new iPhone SE II includes wireless charging, support for 30W fast charging, stereo audio recording, haptic touch instead of 3D Touch, IP67 water and dust resistance, gigabit LTE, Wi-Fi 6, and dual SIM with eSIM functionality.

In terms of pricing, the new iPhone SE II will retail for just under $400 in the US - the same price as the original iPhone SE from 2016. This is a refreshingly affordable option at a time when phone prices are generally increasing. The phone will be available for pre-order on Apple's website starting April 17th and should ship by April 24th.

With its impressive specs, camera capabilities, and affordable price tag, the iPhone SE II is sure to appeal to anyone looking for a reliable and feature-packed smartphone without breaking the bank. We can't wait to get our hands on the phone and test it out in our upcoming hands-on video.
