2.5 GHz Mac Mini or 2.3 gz or getting the one built for Mac OS 10 or just OS 10 server so I came up with a list of reasons you would want to get this new Mac Mini and a list of reasons you wouldn't want this particular Mac Mini or any Mac Mini in general why would you want this well you want a Mac for less than $11,000 So for anybody who says oh I have to spend $1,000 no you you don't it starts at $599 which for a new Mac that's a great PC is actually quite affordable and that thing is small they keep getting smaller and faster that's what I appreciate about the Mac minis uh if you already have accessories like a keyboard a mouse a screen my Mac Mini happens to be connected to the Google TV and I use that as the primary Monitor and it works just fine another reason you might want this uh if your needs are slim so to speak it's not the most powerful Mac out there it's not the least powerful Mac uh but it's designed to not be portable so if you don't need to worry about moving that Mac around uh and you don't need this super super super super fast computer on your desk a Mac Mini will do you just fine and it's relatively affordable in the world of mac and yes you do likely pay a premium to be able to run OS 10 and windows on the same machine and if you don't quite understand why OS 10 is fun to use you probably have never used it so the reasons you wouldn't want this you need more power uh you might not want to go with a Mac Mini uh you would want to go with a faster Mac or a Mac that had the capabilities of you know bigger or faster storage options uh available when you configure the device on uh the Apple website uh you need internal upgradeability in the computer that you choose to use whether it's a Mac or it's a PC or traditional Windows PC or or Linux PC or just a non-apple computer in general it's becoming increasingly obvious that Apple products when you buy them are going to remain well that way for their life and that could be for a number of years and you know if you really value upgrading your internal components this Mac Mini is definitely not for you but you can upgrade externally You' got the Thunderbolt Port as well as usb3 it's a good way of uh expanding so long as the devices or the the options that you wanted to upgrade are available with those connectors and then of course you don't care about OS 10 and if you don't care about OS 10 I don't know why you want to buy a Mac I mean Macs make great Windows PCS no doubt about it at least as far as non-touch Centric Windows PCS are concerned which is something I have to bring up now that Windows 8 is right around the corner at least of the time of this particular recording so uh it's not the most powerful Mac but it's definitely not the most expensive Mac it is the most affordable Mac in terms of what you get let me try that again most affordable Mac and that's really the value of the Mac Mini uh not to mention some people actually run their own websites off of Mac minis or even
